OK, MINUS the sub-zero temperature of this little shop, I am liking it! The owner(???) —(lady behind the counter) was SUPER apologetic for the frigid temperature inside… She did explain that the building was OLD, the windows were OLD and it was shrouded by trees and got no sunlight… She also explained that it was REALLYHOT in the summertime! Good to know for future visits!!! Now, that my thrift store«weather forecast» is done, let me get to the store critic. I had never been to this little gem before. I have driven past many times and just never stopped. I happened to be at the Volunteers of America thrift shop across the street and decided to stop it. I wasn’t even sure it was open — there were barely any lights on and the parking lot was empty. I was super glad that I stopped. I didn’t know this was a CONSIGNMENT and THRIFT for women and children. I spent $ 25 and got 3 garments for myself(1 pair of dress trousers — in EXCELLENT condition!), 2 sweaters(1 cardigan and 1 dressy sweater — BOTH looked barely worn and were in beautiful condition!!!) I also got clothing for my kids and a little purse for myself. The kids clothes were of nice quality and moderately priced. I got a really cute Hannah Andersen dress for my daughter for FREE — because it had ink stains in 2 spots. I was just asking if she would take a $ 1 off and she said I could just have it! How awesome is that??? The owner said she had some friends who always dressy really nice and then donate their clothes to her shop. The items I got were lovely and I can’t wait to go back… But I will wait until it warms up a bit! Especially since I totally dropped trou right there in the shop so I could try the trousers I bought on and another customer was totally monopolizing the only fitting room the shop has!!!
