My husbands family has been coming for over 20 yrs and it has quickly become one of my favorites. We pretty much always get the same thing crab puffs, fried shrimp, chicken fried rice and Mongolian chicken. Food always taste great and freshly made. Unless the owner is in you get OK service from the waiter.

I had a large order of fried shrimp(around $ 9.50) and potstickers(around $ 6.) The breading on the shrimp was too thick and heavy, but the shrimp were de-veined and clean. You also get a dipping sauce which I’m pretty sure is sweet and sour sauce mixed with standard red cocktail sauce. And the usual hot Chinese mustard, which is good on almost everything. The potstickers came with hot mustard and I think soy sauce, or it could have been soy sauce mixed with some potsticker sauce. The building is old and run down but clean, and the bathroom is clean. This is a great place for a casual Chinese food meal with family or friends before a movie or something like that.

Good service, yummy food with big portions! We did take out. They got the order correct and it was delicious!

Update, we went back last night and the service was much better. I also tried their Kung Pao Chicken for the first time and it was fantastic. No breading, lots of peanuts, big pieces of thinly sliced chicken, and everything was soooo fresh! I’m having leftovers for lunch now and I still can’t get over how good it is. We have always loved Lee’s Garden. The food is good, the portions are large, and the atmosphere and tall booths allow for good conversations. The drawback: the service. The staff is polite, but, today, for instance, I ordered a Sprite when we ordered our food. After asking for said beverage the THIRD time(we had already received our waters, appetizers, and meals), the waitress FINALLY came over and plopped a glass and can of Sprite on the very edge of the table(right in front of my toddler and SIL) and hurried away without so much as making eye contact. Our waters were not refilled during the entire meal and we were not checked on at all until the waitress brought our check and I nearly had to yell to catch her before she took off so that I could request more water(even my three-year-old had finished all of her water before she had finished eating). That said, they’re great for takeout. This is the only place I’ve had sweet and sour anything(pork, chicken, shrimp, etc.) that I’ve actually enjoyed. They do a gold-colored sauce instead of the typical, gloppy, red sauce most places do. All in all, we will go again. It’s more for old time’s sake that we go there, anyway, but, I’ll always prefer their takeout to the sketchy dine in service.

Excellent customer service although food came out within 2 minutes making me suspicious. Got it home, and the sweet and sour chicken was covered in lard. Pork fried rice tasted like it came out of an uncle bens 90 second microwave packet. Egg roll looked like fried chicken and the inside was slimy. Would not recommend.

decent chinese american food, nothing to write home about. Its fairly priced, fast, and the portions are definitely large. If you live in the area and want some classic american chinese, this seems to be a safe bet.

Food was great, services was excellent, hot and sour soup was amazing. They just kept bringing food to the table. Prices were very reasonable. I would definitely come here again. The young girl who waited on us was nice and personable and that was very refreshing.

I am writing my first review since moving to Portland 2 months ago. My wife and I were looking for a nice neighborhood Chinese place to go. We are still looking. We were seated right away and we were served tea and water. The waitress asked us if we were ready to order. We really weren’t so we said we each wanted a cup of Egg Flower soup and we would order in a few minutes. The waitress just stood there. I explained it again. When she brought our soup she asked if we wanted to order. My wife said when we finished our soup we would. Two minutes later she was back wanting our order. We ordered. Now for the food part. I am not exaggerating or trying to make Lee’s worse than it was. The tea tasted like it was made with dishwater. The BBQ Pork was so tough I had a rough time cutting it with my knife. The Chow Mein was mediocre. The Fried Shrimp was super delicious. We wanted to order something else but the waitress never came back. We went up to the front to pay and leave. To just some it up sub par food sub par service. We noticed not one smile from any employee to each other or to any patron.

I love this restaurant and the owners are great. I’ve been going here for many years now and every time it’s great. You can tell that the food is high quality made fresh every time. My favorite thing is the chicken fried rice with extra chicken. OMG! Every thing on the menu is really good. Great place to eat! P. s. I own a food cart in down town Portland. Food is my second language! ;)

Good food and even better service. I mentioned that I was a little cold and the nice Server turned up just for me. If you don’t call that good service than I don’t know what is. It’s a Nice and quite place to enjoy dinner. Will definitely return.

Love this place. We go here about once every other week. The fried rice is good, but I’ve had better elsewhere which is why only 4 instead of 5 stars. But the egg rolls are the best part! They are our absolute favorite! I go and order just the egg rolls they are that amazing!

My favorite Chinese restaurant. The Egg Drop soup is the best I’ve ever had at a Chinese place, especially love that it doesn’t have ToFu. Their sweet and sour sauce is very good as well. Never liked sweet and sour chicken until them, now I will only eat it there and one other place. Their Chicken Chow Mein is good. Their whole menu is good. Love this place!

The egg rolls! Just get an egg roll. It is like stuffing rolled in a shell battered and fried. The fried rice is okay not to bad not dry at all. The chow mein is traditional with bean sprouts so be prepared. Truly though get THEEGGROLL.

Some of the best Chinese food in Gresham. It might even be THE best. The staff is authentic, and while they may not always be the easiest to understand, or maybe even the friendliest, Vicki is hands down the best. She is sincere, friendly and accommodating. I’ve been eating their food for nigh on sixteen years now. Ever since Hung Far Lo sold and became crap, Lee’s Garden has been my go to for good, consistent food. The curry chicken in delicious, the house lo mein is cram packed with all the meats, they use foo yee in their mar far chicken, and my favorite part, the crab puffs. Most places, you pay eight bucks for six. Here, double the puffs, and cheaper too. And fresh and delicious to boot. They have an almost guaranteed pick up. time of 20 minutes from the time you call, longer only for gigantic orders. They have daily specials, a small american menu for picky kids, tea and almond cookies for sale, and even suckers for the kids when the meal is over. The only thing that’s cheesy is the chinese elevator music of classic songs. But then again, there’s a special place in my heart for a Chinese Love Potion Number Nine.

Lee’s Garden is the absolute hands down best Chinese food anywhere. We order the hot and sour soup every time we go and it is full of ingredients, not the watered down bs at other restaurants. The best dishes are sweet and sour spareribs, Szechwan chicken(spelling?) and mushroom beef. Regardless of where you live it is worth the trip!

This was really pretty awful. I ordered the general tso’s chicken. It was burned. Sauce doesn’t hide that. The waitress just seemed to be trying to rush us out the door and when I told her my food was burned all she said was«oh.» No offer to replace it or fix the situation in any way. I will never go back.

The food took me back to a favorite Chinese place I loved as a child growing up.(another state) Just good Chinese food. Nothing weird. Kung poa chicken was so good. Best rice and chow mein I had around these parts. Not a fan of ground meat in Chinese food… but vegetarian chow mein was on hit!!! Shrimp weren’t greasy. A good Chinese place has eluded me until now. Yay! Staff so friendly too. I ate only Chinese for two days… loved it. 3 solid stars cuz we got it to go, can’t rate dine in service yet. I will be back!
