Poppington’s Popcorn

Passing by this shop, we decided to send one of our daughters some popcorn. Her fav is kettle corn. So we ordered and paid for delivery. Fed x was the delivery service. So a week goes by and our daughter has not received the popcorn. We get a phone call from the lady at Poppingtons saying the package came back in very unusual condition. In fact the package came back without the popcorn and instead contained some off the wall items such as an empty jewelry box, and some smaller boxes. Fed x obviously had a bad personnel, day. Anyhow the shop resent the order and kept us advised and the popcorn arrived in good time. I would say the popcorn shop rates high in customer care. I will recommend this shop.

Definitely don’t think it’s worth the cost. Got, maybe, a quart of the dark chocolate caramel popcorn for $ 15. Has no real taste and is actually soggy. Can get three times as much of the same thing at Costco for half the cost and it tastes better.

The best popcorn you’ll ever have! And such great service. Love this place and the people that run it.

Our friends who are from Greenville sent us a tin of local made Poppingtons. This popcorn is outstanding. After this batch is finished I plan on buying another one. This was a great gift to receive.

Not to mention the smell pulls you in.
Once you have gotten your bag of popcorn it will be hard to put it down. The flavors have been finely tuned and engineered to be super addicting. You will find yourself often finishing an entire bag and crying in the car due to your immense shame and lack of self control.
My only complaint might be the price. But it seems justifiable since I keep buying popcorn from them. They have the popcorn market cornered in this city.
Great for Christmas presents, party gifts, girlfriends suffering from PMS, and harsh breakups.

We visited Greenville this weekend and stopped into Poppington’s twice while we were there. Everything we tried was amazing and fresh. Top favorite is the original caramel and ask them to pump it up a bit with some salt… amazing! Havarti Dill, White Cheddar, and Cheddar Bacon are great! Can’t wait to go back… but until then we will be ordering online!

Popington’s is a cute gourmet popcorn store on Main. Duck in to see the blackboard list of tons of flavors. They let you try flavors you are considering which I appreciate. The Beer Cheese is very good. $ 8 for the large snack size bag. The service friendly and helpful. Stop in and have a snack or buy for friends as gifts — you will be popular!!!

Awesome place. We walked around downtown the previous night and noticed a couple popcorn places and decided to come back the next day and try some. Poppingtons happened to be on our way the next afternoon so we stopped in and were not disappointed.
When we got there we were the only ones there so we got to chat for a bit. We sampled half a dozen flavor sand loved them all. Ended up buying three big bags of popcorn for ourselves and to take to some friends.
So many great flavors, we didn’t get to try them all but look forward to next time. We got their Poppingtons mix (white cheddar + caramel), a mix of Cinnamon Kettle and regular Kettle, and then a small bag of Sriracha.

Great gourmet popcorn place. The owners are wonderful people who immediately greet every customer and remember returners as well. They are super personable and if you’re lucky enough to show up when the ‘mad scientist’ is developing a new flavor, you may get to taste test too.
They have tons of sweet and savory flavors and you can sample any before buying. The chocolate caramel is great but my favorite is the coconut curry by far.
Worth every penny.

I will admit, I was hesitant about paying for gourmet popcorn. I always think they never have enough flavoring to suit my taste. However, Poppington’s Popcorn is good enough to knock your socks off.
Their white cheddar popcorn and caramel are both good. However, their bacon cheddar popcorn is outstanding! It is not an overwhelming fake-​bacon taste. It adds a mild smokiness to the popcorn, with plenty of great cheddar flavor. They also have popcorn drizzled with flavors, such as peanut butter (caramel corn drizzed with peanut butter glaze and chocolate), New York cheesecake, and even a peanut butter and jelly! You can also get their popcorn in a variety of containers, like small bags, big bags, plastic tubs, and tins. Their prices start around $ 7.95. If you’re into that sort of thing, they also have a popcorn of the month club.
The owners are super friendly and very helpful. They helped to make some great recommendations for me when I wasn’t sure what to get. It also makes me feel great to support a small, downtown business.
If you love popcorn, I highly recommend checking this place out. It’s a great little shop!
