Consistent food and service, very nice staff. They do get swamped from time to time but probably only because it’s so consistent and easy for lunch. I typically eat here 2 – 3 times per month, love the palmetto sandwich. Will be back and will continue to come!

Today was my 1st time trying Midtown, as I’d heard great reviews abt the food, so abt 6 coworkers & I decided to place a delivery order abt 11 am, 1st of all I had to call FOUR times, the 1st two times I was placed on hold for @ least 3 minutes each time, the 3rd time I called, there was no hello, the ringing stopped and I was placed on hold immediately without a greeting. The 4th time around I asked to speak with the manager(all the while thinking that the previous calls were red flags and we should just order somewhere else, but I did not want another pizza or sub) the female states that her name is Kathy and that she us the owner, I explain to her my frustration with the hold times, the unprofessionalism of the people who answered and never came back to the phone, she gives me her sincerest apologies and she takes my 7 orders. At this point an hour has passed, so I call to inquire abt how much longer it will be, thinking that the answer will be that the orders are in route, but nooooooooooooo, I am told it will be THIRTYMOREMINUTES, as they are behind and very busy, of course I am PISSED on top of being so hungry I could have eaten my desk. So they arrive about 30minutes later, and my bacon cheese burger(that is served with bacon-it is not extra) has NO bacon!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! Soooooooooooo I call back, I speak with Kathy the owner, I explain to her my dissatisfaction with their service, that I am a first time customer and the experience thus far has been horrible, she 1st states that I can come get the bacon b/c they are too busy to come back out, I explain to her that I will not be doing that and ask what she can do to make my experience with her business more pleasant, she then states that she will have someone bring me 2 pieces of bacon, I told her no point in that, as my food will be cold and my break will be over, so I ask for a credit, she says $.50, I laugh, and ask Kathy what would she want done if the tables were turned, what actions can be taken to make a dissatisfied customer satisfied and happy to support her business again, she then asks in a very frustrated tone, what is it that you want me to credit you for the burger, I respond yes, that would be nice due to the number of times I had to call just to place the order, the extremely long time it took to deliver it, and the fact that my bacon was missing, she then YELLS I do not agree with it, but I’ll do it, and SLAMS the phone down in my ear!!! So me being totally shocked that this«Professional Business Owner» conducted business in such a manner, called back, asked for Kathy, I was placed on hold, then told that she was busy and could not take my call, I confirmed that she was the owner, that there is no chain of command, as she is in command, so I explained to her that she’d hung up on me and I needed to know how my credit was being handled, I was told that she credit my card back so that I would not be charged. Needless to say I will not be eating there ever again AND the burger was OK, nothing to brag about, I make them better at home.
