The food here is average, as the name of the franchise is «bonefish» it predominately serves fish. Our waitress was rude sometimes and she also mixed up our orders and hen acted like it didn’t matter. For appetizer we started off with the bang bang shrimp. For some reason it wasn’t as good as I remember but they do give you a lot of shrimp. They give you disposable chopsticks to eat it with which I found quirky. Personally, there is too much breading and sauce but the shrimp tastes fresh. I had the pickled bacon jam salmon which was again average. The flavors didn’t really mesh well for me because you had the Japanese radishes with bacon– the fish itself was cooked fine but the flavors were just odd. My favorite part of the meal were the mashed potatoes and the potatoes au gratin. One thing that I really like however, is that the label the leftovers for you. When rummaging through the fridge the next day you want to know what it is without opening it and many restaurants don’t do that so that’s a plus.

I enjoy Bonefish every time I go and today was no exception. The Bang Bang shrimp are a staple for every trip. I also particularly enjoy the scallops and, if you ask, you can get each of the sauces on the side. Brandon was our waiter today and he did a phenomenal job of making my Mother’s Day special.

Brandon was great as our server, but we had an issue the host staff. They put us down for 2 people instead of 3 and called us over to be seated. When they realized their error, they put us back at the bottom of the list and we had to wait another 30 minutes after our reservation. They seemed unapologetic and uninformed. It was a busy day and all, but my parents were very put off that they were unapologetic. Thankfully our experience once we got to the table was positive, thanks to Brandon.

Had a great late lunch with a large group for Mother’s Day. The Thai coconut shrimp was awesome and I highly recommend. Service was great and our waiter Brandon was very professional, patient, and attentive for such a large group with elderly diners as well. We will be coming back. Thanks

***Review For 2 Experiences*** Almost everyday, whenever we go somewhere, we end up driving past this place either here or in Iselin. Almost every week, we get coupons for a certain percentage off of the meal bill. Well, with a coupon in our hand, we decided to go on a Friday night. Because it wasn’t crowded that night, we were immediately seated. After a few minutes, our waitress came by and gave us water in a vintage milk bottle for us to share with drinking glasses. I also ordered«The Mule». When she came back with my drink and took our entrée orders, she gave us some bread with a seasoned olive oil mixture for dipping. Then she left for a bit. The Mule is a mixture of Grey Goose Vodka, lime, ginger syrup, and ginger beer, served on the rocks with a piece of candied ginger in a nice, small, copper mug. The drink itself was a lot smaller than I thought, but the flavor was great with the perfect alcohol level. The bread was served warm, and had a fresh taste. But dipping that into the seasoned olive oil mixture made the taste even better. After a waiting period, our entrees arrived. My mom ordered the Sea Scallops with Jumbo Shrimp. She chose potatoes au gratin(great cheesy flavor) and string beans for her two inclusive sides. She enjoyed them. My dad and I ordered their wood-grilled, lightly seasoned filet mignon, cooked MEDIUM-WELL. We also ordered some A-1 Steak Sauce, which was given to us in a small cup. The meat was cooked perfectly, and tasted great with the seasoning and steak sauce. My dad’s choice of sides were string beans and mashed potatoes. He enjoyed both of them. My choice of sides were string beans and french fries. The string beans tasted fresh. The french fries were not only crispy, but were also covered with a unique kind of seasoning. It was probably cheese, but I wasn’t too sure what that was. But with the ketchup for dipping, these fries were really tasty, and even better than some of the other restaurants out there. As we were eating, the Manager and his assistant came by to see how we were doing and asked if this was our first time. When we gave him our kind words and told him that we were first-timers, he lectured us on how they operate in the kitchen, and informed us about their weekly specials, especially their«Hooked On Tuesday» one. Lastly, he gave us a coupon for a free Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer for a future visit, and then they both stormed off. Cool! Lastly, we ordered 2 desserts to share. We ordered the Jen’s Jamaican Coconut Pie, and a Chocolate Crème Brulee. The pie contained a coconut custard filling that was mixed with a rum sauce, and topped off with whipped cream and sprinkled with coconut flakes. We could see why this was a popular dessert. The taste was simply divine! The Chocolate Crème Brulee was offered only during the night that we visited. This was served in the same dish as the regular Crème Brulee. While one may be tempted to eat this alone(not me — lol), the size was big enough for us to share. This actually tasted completely like chocolate mousse. Well, at least the chocolate flavor was strong, so that was very good! This place utilizes low lighting. Our waitress had a bubbly personality, and was very attentive & courteous throughout our experience. They do accept reservations, which can be made on their website(NOOPEN-TABLE). Overall, this was an excellent experience. «Hooked On Tuesday» Experience — Every Tuesday Night, they have their prixe fix menu. For a certain amount, you get a choice of salad, select entrees with sides, and select desserts. We were able to get what we had before(excluding the Choco Crème Brulee). We also redeemed our free Bang Bang Shrimp coupon, which was very crispy and a little spicy. Delicious. My house salad tasted fresh and their own dressing had a very light taste, which was perfect for me. I also ordered a Rum Coke, which was part of their Happy Hour special. Well, this was simply a mixture of Coca Cola and Rum served on the rocks. The alcohol content in this drink was perfect. Our server on that Tuesday night was excellent, and even told us that this was her 1st night here. Good for her! Rhythmic A/C hits with a smooth injection of DEEPHOUSE played at a low volume in the background. In response to the excellent food quality and a rather upscale service, we’ll keep on coming back!

The Wife and I have been to several Bonefish Grills in the last few years, and I’ll admit that our last few experiences haven’t been all that great. So, when my grandparents suggested going to this location for dinner a few weeks ago, we were a bit hesitant but agreed to go because they really like it. I’m so glad we went! The food was delicious(I had salmon with the mango salsa) and the waitress was attentive, nice, and efficient. 5 stars for sure! Because of this wonderful experience, The Wife and I are much more likely to go to a Bonefish Grill again than we were just a few months ago.

This is the worst experience that I have had dining out in a long time! I was with a party of 4 and we were sitting at the bar… all 4 of us ordered at the same time… my wife and I received our meals…20 minutes… that’s right…20 minutes LATER the other couple received their meals! Not one person of importance… manager or boss… that worked at Bonefish came over and apologized or even acknowledged that their was a problem! I will say the bartender did say she was sorry for the kitchen mess! I have to say after this experience no one in our party will be returning to this establishment in the near future!

Was a loyal customer of Paolos, for 2 years, me and my fiancé would come every Wednesday sometimes twice a week. Sadly he’s no longer there. We Just left for dinner. Food was horrible, the server Joshua was aweful. We got bang bang chicken and shrimp. The breading was falling off. The brownie was burnt and salty… wont be returning.

So, I’m hooked!(ba-dum-tss) Giving 5 stars to a chain restaurant is rare. Of course they can’t reinvent the wheel, but their specials are what sold me. With every bite, I held in great«i’ll have what she’s having» moans a la «When Harry Met Sally». The food and service are excellent AND the prices are reasonable, I will definitely be back with friends! Although it didn’t effect my review, I do want to mention the décor leaves much to be desired. It’s a seafood restaurant but lacks a real theme. There are fake flowers, random paintings in old frames, and one lone bonefish insignia on the bar. As a Gordon Ramsey fan, I have to say I’m a was a little disappointed with food presentation as well.

This is one of my favorite places for an excellent, but not super expensive meal. For a chain, they set the bar very high. The bang-bang shrimp is one of my favorite appetizers anywhere. TIP: If you are a member of Life Time Athletic, show them your card and the Bang-Bang are free! There is a bar area with tables on the right side, and a full dining room on the left side. This place is usually busy, especially weekends. At times, I’ve had to wait 20 – 30 minutes for a table. The staff has always been super friendly and helpful. I’ve never seen an order screwed up. Everything I’ve ever ordered, from appetizers to entrees to deserts, has always been very good to excellent, with few exceptions. I recently had the Kobe Beef burger, and while it was good, it wasn’t outstanding. The fries were cold and soggy. One of my few disappointments here. For fish, there’s several different options for the sauces. If you ask, they will bring out small samples of each so you can try them ahead of time. They have a full bar, and the themed martinis are very good. If you subscribe to their emails, you will be sent special coupons and discounts. For example, I just used one for $ 10 off my meal. Overall, one of the best chain-restaurant experiences.

Returned on a Thursday evening for dinner. A large portion of seared Ahi tuna sashimi was not sashimi. Less than ¼ of the fish was seared to the proper rare temperature. Half of it was cooked white all the way to the center and dry. Corn seafood chowder was barely lukewarm. Soup should be served hot. Shrimp pad thai was a little gummy and too sweet, but edible. Broiled salmon ordered medium-rare was a bit overcooked. Wife ordered 2x $ 10 a glass white wine. We were charged 2x $ 15 on the check, possibly for a different wine? Probably won’t return again.

We used to come in a couple times a month, but haven’t come in for about 6 months. The menu has changed, and I would not say it was change for the better. Our order consisted of dumplings, bang bang shrimp, the Kobe style burger and their current fettuccini dish. Our sides were truffled Mac n Cheese and house salad. The dumplings used to be our favorite dish, but evidently they’ve stopped using Thai peppers; the burger was ordered MR, came out W; the pasta isn’t worth commenting; lettuce had no crisp, but plenty of discoloration. Everything except for the bang bang shrimp should have gone straight to the trash instead of coming to our table. I feel like we essentially paid $ 50 plus tip for bang bang shrimp. They took off the dumplings after seeing we only ate 1. We doggy-bagged ¾ of the fettuccini and half of the burger portions; the animals in our back yard will enjoy that hopefully. We were however happy to see that one of our favorite waitresses had been promoted, kudos.

Yes this place is a chain. And sure it’s got the same look and feel like all of it’s other locations. So if you’re looking a unique atmosphere, this probably isn’t your place. But if you’re looking for great food at decent prices, then come one, come all to Bonefish Grill. I’ve eaten at a few of these places around the country and have to say the service at this particular location is far and away the best. There is something about the training they do which really must do the trick. In fact the last time we were in the server was new and was being trained. The training guy was hilarious while the new girl watch, took orders and learned. He had us play along in different customer service scenarios and was good natured about our ribbing the new girl(and him). As other have mentioned, the Bang Bang shrimp are fantastic. Not sure if it’s liquid crack they’re pouring on there or what but you can’t stop eating them. Literally. I saw a guy explode at a corner table from over-stuffing himself on these things. like most seafood places, you can choose a fish and have it prepared a variety of ways. There are also standard dishes like Fish Tacos available and some pretty damn amazing ahi-grade tuna sushi. Here’s your pro tip: go for happy hour. In fact, shut down early and get there when they open as happy hour starts then. From 3 to 6 we got $ 2 glasses of wine, half price apps(so $ 5 for Bang bang shrimp? yes please!) and cocktails so by 6 pm we didn’t even need dinner. And we spent like $ 125 for 3 of us having been there 5 hours. Next time you drive by one of these places and wonder what it is? Stop by and you won’t be disappointed. Especially for happy hour(s)!

Normally I think chain restaurants have below average to okay food, but Bonefish Grill is a different story. Get the Bang Bang Shrimp– crispy, tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce. I highly recommend this appetizer. It was very delicious. The Singapore Calamari is also a recommended appetizer. It is served with flash-fried with peppers, sweet & spicy Asian sauce. I must say that these Calamaris has to be one of the best I have tasted to my surprise. Nice sweetness. Good kick to it and crispiness. The Tilapia as an entrée was okay. I think it could have used a little more flavor, but it is a healthy option. This is a very good option for a dinner with friends and family. Looks fancy, but its really not. Good quality food.

Last night was my first experience at Bonefish, I’ve driven past it hundreds of times, and finally tried it with my boyfriend for our belated Valentines Day dinner. We were reading a special they were having there for Vday and were happy to hear it was still going on a couple extra days. I thought the ambience in the restaurant was very nice, not too dark, not too light or overdramatic with candles everywhere. The bar area looked real clean and spacial but we were seated at another table. Our waiter was extremely thorough and personable with the menu and happy to help any way he could. He kept checking on us throughout the meal and gave his suggestions on apps and meals he enjoyed. EVERYBODY including our friends, our waiter, and reviews on here recommended the bang bang shrimp, but we decided to try it another time because we knew our special would be a massive amount of food and we wanted to savor it. So for $ 30 each, we had caesar salads, 6oz filet mignon steaks, a lobster tail(my favorite part!) two side dishes, and an Amazingly delicious chocolate brownie drizzled in raspberry sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. My side dish was potatoes au gratin and they were delicious and cheesy topped with bread crumbs. Our other side was some kind of spinach salad with chick peas and it was very tasty. My boyfriend said his steak was the best he’s ever had! I also tried the recommended red sangria, yummy! The general manager came to our table and was sincerely interested in our experience and gave us a $ 10 off discount towards a Sunday brunch! I would have never thought Bonefish would ever serve breakfast foods. The customer service here is remarkable! It was a wonderful meal, from beginning to end. I forgot to mention the bread served with Olive oil. Very fresh and warm! We will be back to try that signature shrimp dish and maybe brunch too!
