First visit to the Squire for breakfast since moving to this area a year ago. Service was prompt and our coffee cups were replenished frequently. Pancakes were good, light and fluffy. Wife had the Monterey Jack Omelette, as recommended by the server. She loved it! We will be back!

Tasty sandwiches and burgers. Good local place that really epitomizes the«New Jersey diner»; does breakfast really well with ample portions and friendly people serving you.

There’s loads of places to eat in the area. But the surly guy at the register doesn’t seem to know that or care. We had a nice meal and were looking to check out. We were standing at the register and this guy(supposedly a long timer /maybe even owner /manager) was doing some paperwork. Rather than stop what he was doing to take care of the customer, he continued to do the paperwork while we stood there. And we were looking to use a Country Squire gift card that we got from a friend. Showing that, he interrogated us like we had stolen it or counterfeited it. His attitude really ruined an otherwise nice experience. Again, there’s loads of places to eat in the area. We don’t have to end our meal on a sour note. We used up the gift card with that meal, which is good since we won’t be going back there again.

One of the cleanest, tastiest diners I’ve been to in a long time, service is great, who comes out quick, staff is very friendly and attentive. I wish more diners would use this one as a perfect sample, they’ve been around forever and know how to treat customers as well as keeping cleanliness and perfectionism on par.

This diner has good food, good service, and good prices. We would have enjoyed it more had the cashier not paced around the restaurant and watched everything that was going on. It was kind of creepy. We’ll give it another try though. We wish the cashier would stay by the register. Jeez. We gave it only two stars because of this man. Otherwise, five stars!

It’s 6:30AM. You need a place to eat and kill time before you have an interview up the road. For a New Yorker, you automatically look for a Dunkin Donuts or something, but not here in this area. Country Squire was open since 6AM, and they had coffee — and eggs… and coffee. I parked in the mini shopping center and upon walking in, opted to sit at the bar with some other local patrons. The waitress welcomed me with a smile, and there was the coffee in her hands. For $ 9.18, I got the farm fresh two eggs any style, so I got scrambled, with bacon and whole wheat buttered toast. Everything came out hot and nicely prepared. The meal overall wasn’t the best breakfast I’ve ever had, but for stopping to try this last minute, it totally served its purpose. Cash or credit is welcome here friends. Oh, I was also called back for a second interview, so I will be stopping by again on Thursday; I think it brought me some luck.

I love diners. This is another good one to add to my list. I’ve been here a couple times so far and have been pleased with the food. Tastes clean and fresh. I’m a particular fan of their wraps — I don’t know if they do it for every wrap but they put them in a panini press(or something similar) in order to crisp the outsides a bit. YUM. Their fries are always on the crispier side rather than soggy which is a BIG win for me! Some of the staff/owners could maybe smile a bit more but whatever.

I’ve always had a great experience here. The atmosphere service and food are all excellent. It’s a comfortable place to enjoy a relaxed meal. I love that it’s diner food served in an attractive package.

This spot has a diner vibe, tucked into a strip mall and is way bigger than it seems from the outside. Our waitress was friendly, service good and the food hit the spot. I had the nachos which were surprisingly good. We both had turkey burgers for dinner and enjoyed them… The onion rings were really crispy. We got a turkey dinner to go. Wow, it came with all the fixins, soup AND salad, vegetables, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy… That was a deal. They had your usual selection of diner deserts and pastries. For a local spot with a diner vibe this is the place.

Cute little spot. Great for salads and wraps in my opinion. I had a Texan wrap and it came with chicken, bacon, and cheese. It was good. I have to go back and try a salad. Every else’s looked amazing.

As my wife and I sat down not knowing what we wanted to eat, we discussed and I assured that this wasn’t the place that served the turkey sausage that we didn’t like. We also recalled our previous visit, where neither one of us cared for our omelette. Well, we ordered something with the turkey sausage, and we avoided the omelette. My wife was in the mood for a breakfast sandwich and I ordered my standard: 2 eggs over easy with turkey sausage. At country squire, the turkey sausage is a patty. Well, I got was 2 eggs over easy with hockey pucks and my wife got a hockey puck, egg and cheese on a bagel. So, in fact I was wrong and this was the place that served the turkey sausage that I don’t like. The turkey sausage is so, so dry that it has a similar texture to the freeze dried treats I feed to my dog, but not as dry. I’m sure I’ll go back at some point. It’s close and offers a change. However, when the time comes, I will definitely remember to steer clear of the sausage patties.

Great food great service. It all started with a waffle craving about 1pm Sunday afternoon. So I whipped out my phone and searched waffles near my current location. As I started searching the menus I came across the Country Squire and saw BACONWAFFLES on the menu. I was sold. When I arrived we were lead to our booth in excitement and immediately opened the menus. We noticed the breakfast menu(available at lunch) was much shorter and didn’t include the bacon waffles so we inquired about our waffles and were pleased to know they still make them. They were the perfect combination of sweet and salty. Highly recommend giving them a try if you are a bacon lover!

Pretty decent food, not overly greasy like most diners in NJ. Wont blow your socks off though.

The first time I ate here I had a really great meal. Ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with French fries and everything was great. Food was hot, fresh, tasty and I was overly impressed with the place. This last time however, was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Went with my fiancé and her parents for lunch over the weekend. My fiancé ordered a salad, her mom ordered a Reuben, her dad an omelette and I ordered the chicken cordon bleu sandwich. I should have heeded a previous reviewer’s comments that stated stick to the basics, you’ve been warned. Trust me, what I received was absolutely terrible. The sandwich when it arrived was 2 whole dry chicken breasts layered together with Swiss cheese and ham on top. One of the breasts was 2⁄3 off the sandwich and I had to manually place it back on top. The sandwich came with no other accompaniments other than lettuce and tomato. No sauce, no mayo, no ketchup. What am I supposed to put on 2 full pieces of dry chicken? I requested mayo then put my sandwich together, at least attempted to anyways. Well the sandwich was too damn big and I couldn’t even fit the sandwich in my mouth. I tried cutting it with a fork and knife but it literally just started falling apart and made it worse. I requested a menu to order something else but my future mother in law convinced me that this could be saved. This disaster was over from the beginning in my opinion. Her parents have different tastes than I do and they didn’t understand why I was getting so upset but when I go to a restaurant and pay for a meal, food should be reasonable and prepared properly. Anyways I was done at that point and took a couple bites and picked at the fries. The waitress, god bless her, was very friendly when I was being so difficult. We left her a nice tip. A lot of these diners have large complex menus that really need to be slimmed down. Stick to the basics and put out only what you do well. People will still eat there, I guarantee it. So yes, just like a previous reviewer stated, stick to the basics, you’ve been warned!

The diner scene in NJ is robust and omnipresent. Good, bad, old and new… Gawdy to po-dunk… And while the menu items are nearly identical, they differ like snowflakes. How in the name of all that is fresh and wholesome in this world do they offer a smattering of every cuisine known to man 24hrs a day 365 days a year? Witchcraft? Teleportation? A complex network of freezers and microwaves? However possible, there is surely magic going on behind this particular ouzo curtain. Warren has had its influx of high end burger joints in the past 2 years. And the village squire out-grilles each and every competitor. Consistency and quality permeate here… This place elevates the category«DINER».

I was dying for a burger. It has been quite some time since I had a burger let alone a good one. My daughter raved about Country Squire restaurant in Warren and wanted me to try it. We ordered cheeseburgers deluxe and what I loved was they use organic meat which is grind fresh, daily and they ask how you would like it cooked. For me, it has to be med– rare! or it tastes liked overcooked shoe leather no matter whose serving it. This burger was plump, and very juicy! It was cooked perfectly. It came with lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions. The bun was nice and soft. I ordered coffee for my drink and it was delicious. Country Squire makes all different styles of burgers. Because it was deluxe it came with French fries. They were cooked golden brown and seasoned lightly with salt. For me that’s great. Sometimes I will order fries and they will be too salty not these. They were great! They also make Disco fries which is a Jersey diner thing.(that is french fries cook golden brown and served with melted American cheese and brown gravy all over them.)You can also order Smokey loaded fries w/cheddar cheese, and crisp bacon all over. It is served w/sour cream on the side. Pizza fries, served w/melted mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. Chili fries served with homemade chili, and melted cheddar and jack cheese, served w/sour cream. They serve Cajun fries, and waffle fries, and a basket of onions rings. So, many to choose from. Country Squire makes wonderful breakfast items like omelets, pancakes, and waffles, and they make many different kinds. They make good seafood dishes too. You can also get complete dinner items. or just appetizers. and pick foods. They have a nice children’s menu, an assortment to choose from. This place is located in the heart of Warren in a strip mall. This is not the original location but I think it’s better. Plenty of free parking. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable of the menu. If your from the area your bound to run into friends. Lots of local people come here. The waitresses are on a first name basis. If your in the area stop in and give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Ate here for breakfast on Valentine’s Day with my boo boo. Restaurant has a convenient location in strip mall next to a King’s. It was pretty empty, but there are lots of tables and booths. The restaurant itself looks like it was recently renovated. It was clean and new. I had the potato pancakes. They were super oily and greasy. Though good, just the right amount of crisp, I felt that they were missing something… I did eat them for leftovers with avocado and they tasted better. My husband had the pancakes which were fluffy and good. Not sure if I would be back, but perhaps if I was in the area.
