I hired Jeff Elders Co. to build cabinetry for a file room. He started off very professional with a complete set of drawings illustrating exactly what we wanted. The build took much longer than expected but this is not unusual in construction. The problems started on the first day of installation. His installers were careless when handling the cabinets. They were white and marked up easily. Many pieces had dings and marks. When the installers arrived I asked if they would be completing the job that day; I was told yes. Later, I was told that they did not have the doors or hardware. They had to return 4 – 5 times to complete the cabinets… Doors had to be rebuilt because his installers did not install the hardware correctly or they were warped. The wrong hardware was ordered. Shelves had to be reinforced because they were bowing under the weight of the files. But these things are not the worst part… There are large sliding doors that consistently fall of their track. My client is having to put them back on themselves because Jeff refuses to fix the problem. He does not stand by his work. He has not responded to multiple attempts to communicate and my client is left with cabinets that do not function properly. I can’t understand the lack of pride in craftsmanship nor his unwillingness to make things right. Beware!!!
