We would like to express our appreciation for the wonderful work your team did in building our custom home. From the start of the project and through the completion of the Punch List items you instilled a confidence that your goal and our goal was the same, to build the best possible home for the budget we set. We always felt that we were well informed on the progress of construction, any questions we had about the construction procedures and your charges were fully explained. You stood behind the work of your subcontractors without hesitation. You held your subcontractors to a high standard. Your workmanship and professionalism was outstanding. The end product is a house that we love and are proud of. We chose the right building company and would not hesitate to recommend your construction company to others.

Words are simply not enough to describe our experience with the Bowden building process. As this is merely our first experience with a new construction, we did not know precisely what to expect. But it all turned out to be the best experience any homeowner could have ever hoped for. From the initial contract, through design and construction, everyone we met has been exceptional and the result, beyond our expectation. We, now, have a beautiful home that exceeds our imagination. We are grateful to all those involved in helping us realize our dream home!

My first home purchase was a PUD built by Bowden Development. After touring several developments in the San Gabriel Valley I came across a project from Bowden and was immediately drawn to the quality of craftsmanship and functionality of the floorplans/layout their homes offered. From the landscaped grounds to the various uses of tiles, light fixtures and floorings — Bowden knows how to deliver a product that is superior to the rest! I have been very pleased with my purchase and will definitely recommend projects from Bowden to anyone looking for a new home!

I’m just telling the truth here and just finished another HOA meeting about our community homes in Monrovia built by Bowden. We have no doubt about the good layout of their houses. However the material they used has so much problem that I started have problem shortly I moved into a brand new home they built. The plumbing was the biggest problem, then the roof and the outer wall of the houses. Many are falling apart now. We are still looking for remedies.

So… If one ever is in the market to buy a house — make sure you know who built it — cuz otherwise, your house could start falling a part. So much has gone wrong with this house — but I’ll only get into a few. We bought a brand new house built by Bowden in 99′. It rained a lot that year — and within’ a first few months — the roof leaked like crazy. Water streaks all over the place — which they fixed because there was a warranty. After they fixed it, it happened again the second year and this time they blamed it on pigeon poop, which could be true(not a pro here). Holes started appearing in the bathroom behind the bathtub wall/tiles — huge 4X4X1ft holes in the walls. How did I discover? I slipped on a bar of soap, fell backwards and put a whole in the wall– then realized it was just some thin dirt with tiles attached it it. I stuck a long knitting needle into the whole — which was one foot deep and the other side was the outside of the house. I suppose I couldn’t fall ‘out’. This led to the discovery of the hollow ‘holes’ forming in the other bath rooms. Do you know their explanation for us? «You guys are taking too many showers.» I swear on my mother’s grave — that’s what they said. Are you effin kidding me??? My response was — if it’s happening to one bathroom it could be our fault, but it’s happening to two bathrooms, possibly three… This house also has cracks inside and outside of the house… among other things. This house is part of a small complex. As far as I am concerned, one or two neighbors have had similar issues. Is it important to find out who built your house? I believe so. To the best of my knowledge — 3⁄7 homes had issues… so take your chances? Ten years later, I find out that homeowners of similar situations have filed class action lawsuits against construction companies. It’s too late for us now — but if it happens to you, keep that in mind.
