Chevys Fresh Mex

Had a great time there last night. Service a little slow though. We had to wait for our drink order cause server forgot to turn it in. But other then that experience was good.

Chevys is the perfect place for great meal and even better service. Ramon always delivers the best service. Super friendly and pretty much knows our order. I’ve yet to have a meal where I haven’t over stuffed myself. Love Chevys

I recently went to Fresno for a Business conference at the William Saroyan Theatre. Eighty of our business partners attended this conference and one suggested Chevys all you can eat Luncheon. I had never been to Chevys and I enjoy trying new Restaurants. So I happily RSVP’d
Chevys welcomed all 80 of us with open arms with a sign that said «Welcome Team Tenacity» (Tenacity is our division team name). There was a gentleman waiting outside just for us. He greeted us and took our payment for the Luncheon which included: Chicken Enchiladas, Chili Verde, rice, beans, tortillas, brownies, and drinks.
A few of my business partners were surprised that they were serving Chili Verde. One of them mentioned that it was not on the normal menu. However, I do not know if this is true. If true, I thought it was a nice gesture of Chevys to make us a special dish.
The waiting staff was extremely friendly and patient with all 80 of us being loud and having a great time breaking bread and eating with one another. They were happy to help us take team pictures and did a great job keeping up with refilling our drinks.
The food was good but not great. The Chili Verde was my favorite dish and the tortillas, which I believe are made in-​house, were very good as well. Brownies for desert was also a good way to end the meal
I enjoy Mexican food. Chevys isn’t an authentic Mexican type of restaurant but isn’t a bad imitator like some other chains are.
5 stars for customer service and friendly environment, 3 stars for food, overall 4 stars.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone with a big group of people who are looking for a place to eat and be accommodated with great service and with food ready to eat when you arrive.

It was pretty okay. My waitress was super nice and my mom loves their margaritas. I personally am a fan of the pirate punch. It’s hard being a Mexican food chain in Fresno since there are so many mom and pop restaurants that are authentic and some of the best in the US. Still, the staff seems nice and everything was pretty good.

This place gives Mexican food a kick in the goodies. They say what you don’t know won’t hurt you, but I’m assured that some of the food is recycled if you know what I mean. A half bottle of tums and and a bad attitude are guaranteed. Save your money and time. Your toilet will appreciate it also. Never will recommend… even to some poor fool I don’t really care for.

This is my all time favorite place to eat when I’m running errands around the area! The service is great, and the staff is extremely accommodating, professional, but most importantly… fast, & friendly. The food is always fresh and it never disappoints. The bar is quick whenever I order a margarita so that’s a definite plus. I love you Chevys.

made a reservation for 5:30 last night for 12people & didn’t get seated until 6:20. we got there at 5:15.then a little after 6 I went to see what the hold up was. I asked the hostess & she said they were waiting for the other people to be finished eating & they didn’t know when it will be. I asked if there was another table or something else we can do & she kinda just shrugged walked away looking confused. walked away from her podium with a customer talking to her! so we waited again longer. the waitress was extremely nice & personable. she was slow! (maybe why we waited almost a hour for the reservation) we waited more than we ate & there wasn’t really any refills. trust me I know a 12person party is big, but we weren’t attended too as needed. I don’t see the point of making reservations here…

My family and I couldn’t decide what we wanted for dinner. Somehow the car steered its way over here and we are so glad it did! The food was great and our server, Roman, was awesome! He was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. On the way out, our kids kept asking if when we come back we can have him serve us again! Great job, Sir! We’ll ask for your section every time now! Thanks again!
The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because we had to wait for a table to be cleaned in an otherwise empty restaurant and the hosts just stood there doing nothing.

Great service. They got my order wrong twice, but they fixed it right away. The food was tasty.

If you are looking for good Mexican food with flavor, do not bother going here. Save your money (the place is pricy for the food quality). The food does come in big portions but it does not taste good. It has no flavor. The service is pretty good, which is why I gave it one star. I personally would not go there again.

Great customer service especially at the bar! They had a live band playing Mexican music and people dancing. What a great place to have Happy Hour on a Friday! Best way to end the week!

Went to watch a band play in the back area. Our first server was nice and sadly went off schedule after our first drink order. So we cashed out that tab to make it easier on his shift close. Nearly 25 minutes later and not another person made eye contact. { It’s not that it was super busy out there either }
I finally walked inside and asked for a server.
She was nice and brought us our two warm beers and apologized.
Paid for our drinks and left wasn’t worth trying for a new drink.
P. S. What is the odd smell in this place???

I’m in Fresno on business and stopped by here to get a bite to eat. I had the shrimp enchilada in green sauce and it was delicious. The best part of the evening was the live band named «Force Em» and the excellent customer service provided by my server named LUIS. He was friendly, social and satisfied all my requests with a smile on his face. (Love that)

Really bad lunch experience. Carnitas are way too salty. Salad was a mess but west of all the service and staff was mediocre at best.
It’s sad when the best you can say is the chips and salsa were good and the ice was cold.

This place was really good! I had the steak and grilled shrimp. The steak was amazing really juice.

5 star service, 3 star food, thus an average of 4 stars.
Annabel, i think that was her name. She was a great waitress. Very attentive, very friendly.
17.99 for the «Ginormous» drink. (alcoholic). Very disappointed and definitely NOT worth the price.
I loved the chips and salsa, the others i was with did not though. They thought it was too salty. I thought it was just fine.
I also loved the chicken quesadilla, wings, and fajita things i had. Oh and the spanish rice.
I didn’t like the nachos or the enchiladas. The enchiladas were way too sweet! Who wants sweet mexican food?
Anyway, overall it was a good experience. I’ll probably come back.

We have been going there for years but their food has gotten much better than what I remember. This is now my favorite Mexican food restaurant.
On July 4^th, we didn’t have a reservation and service was great… friendly, attentive and fast.
Could have made a meal out of the salsa (lots of garlic and cilantro) and chips.
The fish tacos and mesquite grilled soft tacos are the best in Fresno. They were served with the most flavorful refried beans and rice I’ve tasted anywhere.
The waiter told us that they have live music and dancing on Frid. and live band on Sat.

Terrible service. We waited to be seated, waited for our chips, waited longer for our food, waited to get more water and chips, and waited again for our bill. The place was not even busy!
Food was not great either.
Don’t plan to ever go here again.

I had great expectations when I walked-​in in this place. The only Chevy’s I went to was in Times Square, so many times that i would compare it there right away. As soon as we got in, we waited couple of minutes to get seated, nobody was there in the front, maybe because it was Monday? But still. I also smelled something like an old carpet was there, but there was none there. Our waitress was good. She was attentive and nice. We ordered what we always ordered in Chevy’s, House Margarita and Fajita Nachos. Margarita was good but the Fajita Nachos was terrible! There’s almost no meat!!! And there no avocado in the middle! Our Fajita Nacho Plate looked empty. My Mom got a Shrimp Bowl with Rice and surprisingly it taste good but there was not enough shrimp in there. I’m not coming back to this place. I got really disappointed.
