Toy Trauma is located in the Niles district of Fremont. The prices are fair and employees are very respectful and well educated on there store items. Definitely would recommend this to any collector.

I love this place!!! I know a lot of people complain about how the store is too small or there’s not much stuff to buy that peek their interest but I can tell they are doing their best. I happen to know the man behind the counter and he really knows how to look out and take care of his customers.

My family has resided in Niles since 1951, I’ve seen Toy stores come and go in our little town as well as having a very limited amount of toy store in the area period. I can honestly say that Toy Trauma is my place to stop. It’s not just the variety that the owner Mike manages to come across, but it’s refreshing to come across genuinely nice people that are not trying to get over on you by over pricing and that doesn’t act like their doing you a favor by talking to you. Toy Trauma gives you a warm greeting as soon as you walk through the door. Customer service has always been very important to me knowing the importance of good customer service to make your customers feel welcome, but also to engage suspicious person since I’ve been in asset protection for years and always look for the engagement of employees or their lack of effort. Toy trauma isn’t very big as far as the size of the store, but the saying big things come in small packages is true here because their small store is busting out of the seems with all kinds of great stuff. As a Niles resident for 37 years I truly appreciate merchants and businesses that make our historic little town a better place and Toy Trauma with its owner Mike does just that.

Great place to stop in Niles to check out not only collectible toys & games, but«playable» ones as well. For example, Ninja Turtles are a big deal in my household. We were able to pick up a couple old school turtle toys loose at a fraction of the cost of what the new series, in box toys would be at Target. The nostalgia factor is also a lot of fun and the operator friendly.

This place is a shoebox. It’s so small. Literally the owner just asked my husband and I to wait outside because there was one other person in the store shopping. He seemed nice enough but I didn’t really appreciate having to stand outside. Also, don’t even bother calling to ask the hours of the store, the phone never goes through. I just don’t feel this is a great establishment, the place was unorganized. With other great toy collectibles in Union City, Livermore and Manteca. I’ll skip this place.

This review is in relation to my Mantiques review. We were greeted right away by Michael. Very enthusiastic guy,(rare these days at toy collectible shops) For such a small area, with many things, its extremely neat and organized. They have something for everyone. Really good selection of vintage toys. My husband picked up the Nazi werewolf from American Werewolf in London. It was fairly priced, a little bit higher than on eBay, but we didn’t mind paying extra since the guys are extremely likeable and aren’t trying to rip you off. Michael told us about some useful information that would be to our benefit on finding items we were looking for. We will definitely be going back!

Toy Trauma is that toy shop back in the day that had everything. It’s a little intense when you first walk in but the more you dig the bigger the treasure. A mix of old and new stuff so that Rat Fink fan and designer toy fan both have a cool underground shop to claim as theirs.
