Friendly and great wine and service

The great customer service at every other wine joints (wineries, wine stores etc.) just highlighted how bad this place was. We just wanted a bottle of wine for our B&B and this place was around the corner. I’m not sure if they shutting down (5:30pm but no hours anywhere I hate going into places when they are closing) but they acted like we were an annoyance. I asked if our chosen wine was a good one and he asked if we wanted a taste, then proceeded to charge us an extra 2 bucks (saw it later on receipt) for what amounted to backwash for both of us to share. Few other details left a bad taste in our mouth (not the wine though, Pinot Grigio was decent but not worth$ 20). Maybe it was an off night but with so much greatness going on around you, can’t afford a bad day!!!

Worst experience ever! Sad because so many of my friends rave about this place. Visited on a Saturday afternoon so of course the place was in full swing yet there was just one person working the entire joint! We took a seat anyways. On the menu they had a wine sampling 6 for $ 6 with select wines. We were greeted by the bartender and told him that we would both like to do the wine sampling. He promptly brought us each a wine glass. We both selected a wine to start with and he immediately poured a small sample. After that it was over we never saw him again… about 15 minutes went by he came to us and said «Don’t worry I didn’t forget about you guys» then simply walked away. Another 15 minutes went by and nothing. He was clearly helping other customers just slow as a heck! So we slapped down ten bucks (that’s because that’s the only cash we had and booked it outta there! Ten bucks and all we got were two lousy samples of wine… what a waste!

We visit D’Vine every time we’re in Fredericksburg. They have the best prices and the best customer service of all the Main Street Wineries.

Several great things about D’Vine Wine. They have a cheap tasting fee of only $ 5 for 6 tastings. They also serve a big amount per tasting. The décor is pretty and definitely captured my gf’s eyes. The location is prime central on Main St.
I got to meet the winemaker himself, the very friendly Tracy. He’s from Katy and moved out there after successfully trading on the stock market. He makes all the wine himself Tuesdays & Wednesdays of every week. We had a very nice conversation and he greatly complimented my gf and I on how great of a couple we are. His son Tyler served us and was a very energized and jovial individual. The father and son duo gave us a welcoming and pleasant experience. Definitely a must-​stop for wine tasting in Fredericksburg.

I added this establishment specifically to let potential patrons know what a substandard experience this was.
To D-Vine’s Management: Change everything but your décor. Your wines are bland and astringent, much like our hostess.
This place was a complete, and utter disappointment without redeeming value.
