My sister-in-law & I really enjoyed the wine tasting and found a couple of perfect fits for our palate. Superb wines!

I have always enjoyed this place. I have been able to find all kinds of wines here… this time I was looking for Rohan Blackberry Mead(my current fave). It was cold but I picked up some warm spiced German wine for my window shopping. It was described as «being like cider» but I have never had cider affect me like that German wine. Thank goodness my husband was driving home… I fell asleep as soon as I got in the car!

Main Street Fredericksburg is a great walkabout. This is where the wineries come into play. Texas Wines, Etc is a friendly establishment, about 20 wines to taste and the gentleman that works there is VERY knowledgeable on everything. For $ 5 you get to sample 6 wines! Done and done. He was explaining to me the difference between Texas wines and California wines and how they pick the grapes at different times in the year and what makes each one special. I tasted a pinot grigio, chardonnay, 2 pinot noir’s, cabernet and a muscato. My favorite by far was the Silver Pinot and the Muscato. Bought bottles of both. For a Texas winery, this place does just fine. However, 2 of the 6 wines I tasted I had to pour out. Trust me, I am no fan of wasting alcohol, but they were bad. But I guess that’s the point of the tastings right?!? The real star of this venture was the frozen raspberry bellini’s they also serve. OMG! YUMYUM!!! Grab one of these bad boys and make your way down more of Main Street. They also have great local beers in a fridge you can grab or you can do the wine tastings. Options, options, options. The awesome plus side is that you can walk around Fredericksburg with a beverage in your hand! Hooray!!! Great place to stop in try some wines, beer, learn a few things and obviously end with a tasty bellini. Enjoy!

After sampling near every option over at Rustlin Rob’s; the wife and I needed a beer. Picture we just ate chocolate, jalapeño, habanero, peanut butter, jams, jellies, insanity hot sauce. We needed adult refreshment and we needed it fast! Texas Wines Etc had bottles of beer ready for the grabbing at a decent price. Plus, for those who don’t know you can drink on main street in Fredericksburg. I’m not much of a wine kinda guy; but take your upscale friends to sample hundreds of offerings. You drink a Lone Star Light just like I did. No, I’m not a hipster
