Great little place to stop in and taste a bit of Fredericksburg. Young winery that has been running for almost two years. Wines are good but will be even better with time… The ladies working in the tasting room are entertaining for sure. They all have nicknames. We were lucky enough to get to visit with ‘lazy’ ass and ‘smart’ ass. $ 10 for tasting 5 or 6 wines is a great deal… They also offer a 10% military discount… Owner is a retired Marine. T shirts are awesome. Worth a stop.

Wines OK. Not sure the grapes they grow here have made it in a bottle yet but staff on Main Street store front was helpful and they have really cool stuff with the logo all over it! A sleeper waiting to kill it with some great wine in the future as they have with their marketing so far! B

This place was really nice and quaint. The wine tasting was extremely fun and you have a little souvenir glass is cute. The lady that was running the shop was amazing and very sweet. They also have watermelon wine which I’ve only heard of but never had tasted before can’t wait to get home and try it.

Perfect place to stop in Fredericksburg. We choose this as our first stop at 11. I highly recommend the delicious red wines. Also the wonderful staff made it even more welcoming. We will be back.

This place is not as cool as the actual winery but it is still a fun place to visit while strolling Main street in Fredericksburg. $ 15 will get you 6 very small pours of wine and you get to keep the glass. This is higher than what I have experienced other places. They have musing t-shirts and other items like wine koozies. The wines are on the sweet side however you can sub two of the sweet wines for dry wines. The grapes come from the Lubbock area except for the Merlot and Sangiovese which are sourced from New Mexico. They also sell frozen bellinis and frozen sangria to go. The experience felt a bit rushed and the tasting room has less charm than the winery but it is still worth a stop.

really enjoyed fatass winery tasting! all the wine was pretty damn good ! minus the little children running around playing with cars and screaming and yelling(what adult brings little kids into a tasting room by the way, we seen the same annoying family twice in two different wine tasting places) well it was nice and relaxing inside until they showed up. 5 tastes for 10 bucks and ya keep the neat glasses. they had some cool shirts too

We visited the Fat Ass Ranch and Winery on Main Street in Fredericksburg and had a fun visit. The two servers were fun and entertaining. Of course, the name it self leaves room for humor. However, the wine tasting fell short of expectation for liking wine the way I do. The server said the wines are made in stainless steel vats which might explain why I found the wines ok. The wines were a bit sweet so if you’re a sweet wine drinker you might happy here. We did not walk away with a bottle of wine. Of note, they did have sangria which we liked and purchased a glass for $ 8 each and drank on Main Street.

Went to the tasting room this weekend I like wine and this is not wine this is like high priced boones farm. They have cute stuff for purchase donkeys on shirts it’s a cute slogan but the wine was lacking if you don’t drink wine it’s probably find its a little too sweet and foo foo for me.

Cute name but everything tasted like really sweet jolly rancher candy. You get a free souvenier glass with your tasting. Yes they have a real donkey there.

Wine wasn’t bad but the woman behind the bar was extremely rude. She skipped one of the wines and when I asked if they had it she said she already poured it for me. She had not hence the reason I asked about it specifically and argued with me about whether or not she did. I walked out. Won’t go back again. Ever.

[Yelp 365 in 2014 Challenge — 362:365] Have never been to the winery on 290, so just had to go into the newly opened tasting room on Main Street when I passed by. Witty name play(love it!) and loads of fun signature merchandise for sale(hats and Ts). For a mere 10 bucks you get to try 6 of their wines and get the keep the tiny(I mean mini-) stemmed Fat Ass wine glass. Wines were meh — not really memorable. More along the line of something you might have expected Texas grapes to produce 5 or 10 years ago. There was a tasty«seasonal» wine. Was actually yummy — if you like Cranberry Juice. Bottles for sale ~$ 16. The woman working the counter was friendly enough; however, seemed less than thrilled to be there. Overall A-OK. Not near the top of my F*Burg wines, but who can resist at least stopping in at Fat Ass? I mean, really. Really? You be the judge. Cheers!
