We enjoyed a delicious dinner on a Saturday night in February in this charming, warm and energetic restaurant. Every table was filled, but the service was still excellent. The homemade tortelli alberto is to dream about, the dover sole melts in your mouth, the selection of desserts and wines is broad and outstanding. We felt like we were back in Italy for the evening! The night inspired me to plan a trip in April. Alora, what more can I say? You will not be disappointed.

It is our first time and we will never come back again. We made reservation but was seated in the outside bar area, completed sectioned out from the main dining area. It is a busy night, half way through the meal, people in the waiting areas are literally staring at us, very awkward experience considering this is supposed to be a nice fine dining place in the neighborhood. Not sure if it is because we had a young kid in the group or we didn’t look like a regular. We escaped the place after chopping down everything, which we should have done in the first place. The food is ok, very limited appetizer choice, the entry is very big portion. Service is very average. We didn’t bother to think about desert and coffee since all we wanted is to leave. We went to Martha’s bakery on Austin to complete the meal afterwards.

A lady calls to confirm the reservation and she came across very rude. She thinks her restaurant is the only restaurant in the world. She came across stuck up and thinks her restaurant is the best of the best. She basically said if you can’t confirm with me other customers will gladly take your seat. Her attitude is «I don’t need your business.» She is definitely one of the rudest hostess over the telephone. I immediately cancelled the reservation. Also, they REPORTBADREVIEWS to Unilocal and gets them REMOVED! THISISWHYTHEYHAVE a four(4) star review! DONOTBETRICKED by them UnilocalWILLSEETHIS.

Came here last night. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The ambience was unique. The food was good, I wished they had more appetizer options. My husband had the venison special, he liked it but it didn’t overly impress him. He ordered the mashed potatoes with parmesan. The waiter should have reminded him that he was already getting potatoes with his meal so we had 2 big helpings of potatoes a bit much. The parmesan potatoes were really good though. We would have ordered a vegetable instead. I ordered the lasagna, it was good. Didn’t knock my socks off like I thought it was going to after all the hype. But I enjoyed it. Not sure if we would return or not, may continue to try other places.

Excellent old-fashioned North Italian cuisine, not easy to find these days. This has been our regular place for birthdays and other special occasions for years. The food is awesome every time.

I ate here with my wife, and I’ve eaten food in the best and worst of restaurants, I heard so many good things about Alberto’s, so went ate, my veal chop had no taste and was dry. My wife who loves Italian food, said is it me or is the food tasteless, needless to say we were very disappointed, and, they get a fair price for the food, so now how do you go back? La vigna is so much better, I suggest you go there, avoid this experience of not getting a fine dining experience ! Sorry Alberto’s. For the money it was a disappointment. I m gonna try it again cmon Alberto’s please me ! Thank you Silvana, for the responce, that means a lot, and says a lot ! About you! I told my wife and, I’m liberal, She’s a stoch, due hard, and, when I mention it, she won’t go back, I would love to, I’m sorry ! Oh well good luck always!

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Queens, New York. When We lived in Queens, we used to go a couple of times a month. The service is great and the food is greater. If you are in Queens, NY, I recommend it.

Considering my visit here was nearly 40mins, one would think I’d have plenty of insight into the quality of the food, service & ambiance. However, the entire time was spent standing awkwardly near the bar, scarfing down mints in hunger while waiting for someone to vacate a table. Yes, despite an 8pm reservation for our party of six, it was 35mins before we gave up the first time and headed elsewhere. We were chased down on the street by the maître d who assured us our table was now ready… only to wait another 10mins before fleeing again. Pity, cos the stained glass décor looked nice. Hmmm. They could have at least offered us a drink. Bread. Anything. Bah.

Every time I think about the food there I think it can’t possibly be as good as I remember it being. Wrong. It’s better. Amazing food, great wine, wonderful staff and a gem of an owner. Hands down our favorite place to eat.

Walked in and the greeting we got from the gentleman(owner I presume) was«did you make a reservation on Opentable? Don’t do that on weekends. We don’t check it.» So we were admonished first thing for using a service that they subscribe to. After that we obviously had pretty low expectations for service and we were right. Wait staff was pushy and presumptuous. We didn’t know who our waiter even was. Food was good but it took way too long. It was a busy Friday night, but still, no apology, nothing when we mentioned the long wait. Lots of regulars and they clearly get the special treatment. The female owner(again I’m assuming) walked around saying hello to each table, which is nice. It’s just that it’s obvious who they are excited to see and the rest it’s just«eh.» Not a place you feel warm and welcome unless you’re a certain type of crowd, perhaps. We like to support the local businesses in our neighborhood as much as possible but this won’t be one.

Fantastic. Celebrated my daughter’s birthday with our family. The staff was warm, friendly and very accomodating. Some special requests were honored without an issue. The bread was warm and delicious(both kinds). All the food was fantastic. My Dad(76) had lasagna and said it was the best he has had in forever. Mom and sister had New Zealand Sea Bass, both thought it was amazing. I had seafood risotto, everything in it was done perfectly. My wife(the toughest critic I know) had shrimp scampi and raved about it, thought the scampi sauce was original and definitely not your typical scampi. The girls(7 thru 10) all enjoyed pasta and meatballs or chicken. Dessert was a tasty chocolate cake with a beautifully decorated«Happy Birthday» written in chocolate sauce, accompanied by a chorus singing Happy Birthday. Thanks so much for a great dinner and for making my daughter’s night.

Had dinner last night. very nice atmosphere service was great and the food was very good. My wife ordered the filet mignion I didn’t think that was a good idea since we were in an Italian restaurant not a steak house but it was cooked perfect and tasted great. I had the chicken valdostana no complaints and portions are big. Definitely would go back.

By far my favorite restaurant of all time. My family and I have been coming here for years and we will continue to for as long as they let us. They hosted my wedding last month and did an incredible job. They wowed my family and friends. Some referred to the wedding as classy and intimate with the best food they have ever had.

My girlfriend had been going on about this establishment for months and months! So finally I tucked in my shirt, put on my boots, and agreed to the trek to come out here and try it out. Alberto’s immediately stands out as you enter it, the staff are very friendly and greet you warmly as you enter, at first I thought I must be a regular or something, but that’s just how they treat everyone. Every place I have ever dined at as their own particular style and ambience, some good, some not so much, but this review is not about any of that. I came here to eat, and that’s what I did. I ordered the lasagne. O. M. G! My tastebuds were tap dancing across the heavens, the party was in my mouth and everybody across the land was invited! By far, the best meat lasagne I have ever had in my life! The 8th wonder of the world had just been selfishly destroyed by me and hastily gobbled up! Alas! But fear not my fellow culinary explorers, they make more! Oh yes, I will be back, apparently they serve other food too, I don’t care, I’m going to slowly morph myself into lasagne! Can’t wait to be back! No photos unfortunately, my brain couldn’t react fast enough to my stomach!

I was excited to try some actual authentic Italian food so that why we headed to Alberto’s. However we are obviously not Italian and some of the staff made notice of it. I felt kind of uncomfortable because they kept looking at us. I am not sure if it was because we were not Italian or because we were probably the youngest there. Whichever one it was it made my visit quite uncomfortable and unfortunately the last. If the food would’ve been as good as I expected than maybe I wouldn’t had minded the staring contest. But it was more of a miss for me.

This place looks like a Catholic church, with a big strained glass window in the middle of the restaurant. The waiters in that restaurant are so kind and well mannered. Their dish, tortini Alberto taste delicious. It has a filling of parmesan cheese and spinach. Mmmm!!! Best to join it with a red wine.

Came here a third time, this time with an Amazon voucher. I ordered things off their specials so I don’t know the exact name of the dishes, but I had some salmon avocado creamy mash salad thingy as an appetizer. It was one of the best dishes I’ve had. For my entrée I had the New Zealand rack of lamb, it was cooked exactly as I asked for and had Parmesan crumbs in the seasoning, loved it! Service as usual was very prompt and exemplary.

Finally decided to come here after years of passing it by. First thing I noticed was the exceptional service. The waiters and manager are very attentive while not over doing it. The floor manager did a great job ensuring everything was perfect. The décor is rustic but elegant We had the stuffed artichoke, pork shank special and chicken Piccata. Food was very good and portions are a good size. It wasn’t out of this world however but good enough for 5 stars. The bread could have been softer and crisper. Just a suggestion to the restaurant, the chairs are too modern, would be nice if they continued the antique feel. And add a small flower vase to the waiter table in the middle. :)

I was invited to celebrate a birthday here and I was told this place was outstanding. Apparently they make their own pastas. Well my hosts were embarrassed when I found a bone in the fish filet. For a joint supposed to be top class, this is a no, no.

Came here with coworkers for our holiday dinner. This place was able to accommodate 15 people with no issues and with impeccable service. The restaurant itself isn’t huge but is comfy. For appetizers, we had fried calamari, friend scallops, tomatoes with mozzarella, and sautéed asparagus with parmesan. All were very tasty, especially the asparagus. For my entrée, I ordered the risotto with seafood. Very good! They were not stingy with the seafood at all. Another popular entrée at the table was the Tre Moschetierri, which had veal, chicken, and filet mignon — everyone loved it. The desserts, the wine, the cappuccinos, everything was great. The owner came over a few times to make sure we were doing well. The waiter and servers were just great. No complaints. Can’t wait to return for a date night with hubby.
