I went thru the drive thru to get lunch before my next class. The experience was good! I ordered a famous bowl fill up meal and a 3 piece Nashville hot tenders meal. The famous bowl was delicious as always. I love it! I get it everytime I go. The Nashville tenders on the other hand were not as great. They had a decent amount of spice to them but virtually no flavor, probably because they were drowning in grease. It was disgusting. The one thing I did like about them is that they’re much crunchier than the rest of the chicken you serve. The only thing that helped the flavor was the pickles on the side.

I love KFC… this location only gets 4 stars is for one reason only: how do they run out of the original recipe at 6pm??? Totally disappointed… so I will start going to a different location.

We have always gone thru the drive through until this last time. Bad choice. Once we sat down in the dining room and started eating we looked down at the table and it was filthy!!! It wasn’t just the table the whole resturant was covered in dirt. It was literally everywhere. The window sills, floor, bathroom we literally packed up or food and left. Almost got food somewhere else except we were sower hungry and didn’t want to wait another 30 min.

After an extremely unpleasant experience at Long John Silver’s just up the road where Jackie, the Long John Silver manager, was so unpleasant we left there without eating(see my Unilocal Review from July 182015), my mom and I went to this KFC to salvage our lunch plans. Upon entering KFC, we were greeted warmly by the really cheerful manager, Natasha(I hope that was her name, she was terrific). She was very warm and friendly, took our order with a smile and delivered it to our table. Chicken was tasty as always and we left there in great moods. As a side note, a diner started coughing furiously and Natasha ran to her table with a bottled water. Wow.

This kfc is horrible! I hardly come and when I do they either mess the order up or don’t have chicken. Don’t have chicken? How? I hate coming here. Worst kfc in El Cajon for sure!

This KFC rocks! The counter service was courteous and quick, and I was given everything I ordered and the extras I needed: plates, utensils, and sauces. The original recipe chicken was delicious(no shortage of meat at 7 pm on a Friday night), the hot wings just spicy enough, the cole slaw superb, the corn and potato wedges also tasty. Toss in the melt-in-your-mouth biscuits and honey, and boy did we enjoy the meal. Great value for the money. I simply don’t understand the one– and two-star reviewers. I noted that they all used the drive-thru. Maybe if they’d saved gas and time by going inside, their experience would have been different.

KFC family deals have become extremely pricey now. It isn’t worth it anymore. Their food isn’t that good. $ 25? No thanks. And last time I came here I was being harassed by a drunk homeless women asking for a ride. She was literally knocking on my window after I politely said no, sorry. Shady area.

I would give 0 stars actually. I was in drive thru, and if I wasn’t trapped in line I would have left. I ordered a 3 piece meal, white meat, extra crispy, and they said it would take 10 minutes. no problem. There were 3 cars ahead of me and it took just under 30 minutes for me to get to the window! Then it took almost 5 minutes before anyone came to the window. I couldn’t believe this… the woman told me that they were out of white meat chicken. Absolutely insane! I just left. I knew they were slow, but this is ridiculous!

I honestly wish I could give 0 stars but I can’t but this location is what me and my boyfriend say NEVERAGIAN every time we leave there and some how we go back to give it another shot! Now we are KFC fans when we want a little fast food but at this location wants me to never eat KFC again. The 1st time they forgot to put the chicken in a two piece CHICKEN meal so we had to go back. 2nd. We ordered 2 meals and a snacker … Got home no snacker, but it wasn’t a big deal. 3. Last time, which wa just this week 2 meal and there chocolate chip cake everything was okay the dessert time and we open up the cake it looked weird so got a closer look it was moldy green WTF like hairy mold I threw up just looking at it no point of calling them because I don’t want their piece of crap sorry or free cake this location is by far pathetic, and I I was physco I would burn it down… Muahahaha just kidding but it’s pretty gross and now Forsure NEVERAGAIN!

KFC’s chicken potpies are the BEST I’ve ever eaten and many people agree with this. Yummy buttery flaky crust, huge pieces of chicken, tender carrots, peas in a savory rich sauce. My significant other couldn’t get over the gigantic pieces of chicken in it. It’s very filling so come with your appetite when you order one. The cashier was friendly and the restaurant was clean. There was a 20 minute wait for the potpies. You might want to see if you can order them ahead of time if you are in a hurry. My step father has actually done this before.

My problem with this place is that they NEVER have what you want in stock… having 3 kids, the drive-thru is my best option… but I always have to pull around to the front because it will take 5 min.(which is usually 10 min. or until I get out of my car to see what the heck is going on with my food.) They aren’t even stocked during the lunch or dinner rush, which is maddening. However, they do throw in something free some of the time.

this branch has a better equipment compared to the now-closed la mesa branch. they have restroom and washtub. now, why do they call themselves fast food? why would they have drive thru service? why do they have the 20 pieces of chicken bucket on their menu? IFTHEYONLYHAVE8PIECESOFCHICKENONSTOCK.(wait, isn’t their menu mainly chicken??) so yeah, i had to leave the drive thru, step down from my car, waited for 20 minutes to get the goddamn chicken.

I didn’t get to the inside of this location, at least not Saturday night, because it was just after 10 and they had closed the doors. But I was hungry from no dinner yet so I drove through and got 3 chicken strips for under $ 4(no sides) and nibbled on them while I drove to my destination. They were okay, but fairly salty and chewier than I expected like they were in the deep fryer for too long. The young man at the window was very cheerful and the service was fast. The food was adequate but not real flavorful. One thing I used to love about KFC was how moist the chicken was. It wasn’t very moist that night. My general observations about KFC’s(copied from my review of another location): I like the consistency in that you know exactly what you’re getting, but I don’t like the saltiness of the Original(which used to be my favorite) and the BBQ and others are saltier except the Grilled which is what I usually order now that they have it. If I’m in the mood for strips I forget they’re going to be breaded and therefore salty. The biscuits are always good but it’s shabby they don’t automatically give you butter and honey with them like they did years ago. And it is a spread, not butter, and some kind of honey-flavored syrup instead of the real deal. Shabby. Their coleslaw is consistent and the standard by which I rate all others. The mashed potatoes aren’t as good as they used to be nor is the gravy so I don’t order them much like I did when I first started going to «Colonel Sanders’ Fried Chicken». But I still like to drop in here once every few months for a KFC fix. A few years ago they offered delivery but I don’t know if they still do.

I rarely eat fastfood but I was in a hurry. Who thought it was a good idea to only put some of the items on the menu board? How about describing what is in the variety boxes? It’s a good thing I asked for dipping sauces, too bad I didn’t ask for butter. Why wouldn’t you put butter in with my biscuit? At least ask if I want it. The chicken finger in my meal was cold and greasy, I thought I was chewing on one of my dogs toys. I wouldn’t say my food was as bad as the previous review but it certainly wasn’t very good ether.

Barf. Choke. Hack. Gag. Nothing like spending one’s hard earned money on a restaurant that USED to pride itself on having fresh, delicious food. Please, avoid this«winner» like the plague unless… …you like to sit in a drive-through for ages …get home and find your order messed up …find what you DID get really sucks For ages I’ve been incensed at Kenfucky Tried Chicken’s corporate policy of higher prices/lower quality but today convinced me I’m «done like dinner». The dinner I couldn’t eat. Oh I lied… I did eat the coleslaw and mashed potatoes but the«sat around for a week», dried-out and over-cooked chicken was inedible. The portion sizes made me comment to my son, «Well, at least we know they don’t serve hormone injected chicken». His response, «How do you know this isn’t hormone injected Cornish Game Hen»? Hey, could be… considering what they charge. Man, I’m steamed. Nothing like a cranky, hungry, old fart with access to Unilocal to get the«mad» out.
