Very good food, reasonably priced and excellent service. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner.

Best middle eastern food we’ve had in Denver. Period. Best chicken kabobs ever. Period. Modestly presented and friendly. A real find.

This place rules. The food is so fresh and colorful. Good service, too. The lightest and most flavorful falafel I’ve had. Ever. Definitely my new go to. Sorry, Jerusalem.

It’s March 1st, and the Salam Grill’s rating has lowered itself to what I predicted it would a while back.(It’s still about a half point over-rated). This proves to me that once enough Unilocal reviews get listed, they tend towards being more accurate than when only a few reviews have made it online. So now for my best advice. .. Go on down to Littleton and eat at the Damascus Grill for some of the finest Middle Eastern dining in the area. Your Semitic restaurant bud, David

Not only was the food devious(and plentiful) but the individuals working there were so very warm and welcoming. The King Combo will do good things for you. Definitely coming back for more.

Salam Grill… Made a reservation for Party of 7. Yes, our table was all set and ready for us that evening of Saturday December 8th2012. Time for dinner was at 18:00hrs. As usual we were the biggest group that evening, in which I am cool with that so our group can get all the undivided attention. All 6 of my foodie friends have not been to Salam Grill even though some of them live in this part of neighborhood. While seated and going thru the menu, our Server offered to our table a basket of baked tiny square pitas, almonds and walnuts. From what I could recall these were the items my foodie friends ordered that evening : * Meat Combo($ 14.95) * Chicken Kabob($ 11.95) * Managish($ 1.85) * Grape Leaves($ 5.25) * Lamb Shank($ 14.95) * King Combo($ 14.95) * Lentil Soup($ 3.25) * Pies Combo($ 10.95), to name a few. That evening, I opt for Meat Combo($ 14.95). The service that evening was just A-OK, even though our food came out on a timely manner. Coz during the Dinner session, the server mentioned that they ran out of one of the items so they send out another dish. The server could have informed my friend instead before giving out that«alternative» dish. My friend did not fancy it(the alternative dish) at all. Even with that incident, that«alternative» dish was not taken out from the check. I know this is not a big deal to some, but it would be nice to clarify the details to future patrons etc etc. First beverages item comes to the table at 18:05hrs. First salad which comes with main entrees came at 18:15hrs. The only Lentil Soup order comes out at 18:21hrs. Main Entrees comes out between 18:28hrs — 18:38hrs. Last order of Managish came out at 18:45hrs. Since we were the only patrons that evening, the execution of the food that comes out may took awhile for some. There were mixed reaction from my friends. M’s order of Lamb Shank, she like it. From the look of the Lamb Shank this time around, the vegetables were done right. K’s order of King Combo, she likes it too. I’s order of Lentil Soup she liked it too, while the rest say its 50 – 50. just A-OK… As for me personally, I so wish the Meat Combo, especially the meats, was on a tough side. Hence its tough to chew… so wish it could be tender. I so wish they could use other forms or cuts of meats/poultry esepcially for the Kebabs. The Meat Combo consisted of Chicken Kebab, Kafta Kebab, Lamb Kebab, Beef Kebab and Shawarma. The rice that comes with the Meat Combo, could have more spice or flavoring of somekind. All my friends who are into spicy stuffs, also opt for that«mysterious red spicy sauce» for their order when they tasted it. I also opt for the Lamb & Beef Shawarma($ 11.95) TOGO for Hubs that evening. After our dinner ends, our server offered us 2 plates of several sweet«AMERICAN» desserts which consists of cookies and mini cheesecakes in which was unexpected from a Middle Eastern establishment. It could be seen as a nice gesture in which all my foodie friends appreciated. But personally, I so wish, if next time they could offer Authentic Middle Eastern pastries or sweets instead. Oh Well… Hence my review remains 3 stars… Above anything else, I want to wish Salam Grill well in their business endeavors. Left Salam Grill at 19:25hrs. Since Hubs had the order of Lamb & Beef Shawarma, he also gave this dish 3 stars coz I think Salam Grill might have«tweek» the recipe, though the flavor was there but it was not like the 3.5 stars Entrée he had at Salam Grill. @22/2013

I read the reviews and thought: Great, I will try this place. Unfortunately, I am fighting the flu so I wanted to go online to their menu. I couldn’t find it and called the restaurant. The woman who answered could NOT speak English. I asked her very slowly if they had a «menu online» or if there was someone who could«speak English» I had to hang up. When they get people who can answer questions on the phone or they put a menu online maybe I will go. Boy oh Boy!

This well lit and nicely decorated restaurant is the newest addition to Mid-Eastern row on Colorado Blvd. I’ve tried the chicken shawarma sandwiches in every venue on the street and haven’t been happy enough to become a regular customer. The chicken shawarma here was succulent and the sandwich had french fries INSIDE, which I loved. I would definitely return. The menu is what you would expect from Middle Eastern fare(no surprises) and the location in a strip mall is nothing to write home about. But the staff is friendly and our food was delicious.

Just tried this new Middle Eastern grill on Co Blvd and it is fabulous! Food fresh and carefully prepared. Great taste, freshly prepared. I had chicken Shawarma and a friend has the vegetarian plate. Absolutely everything was good. Friendly and polite service. There are lots of these restaurants on CO Blvd around Evans, but this is by far the best I have had.

Salaam Grill Closed. «This new place on the mideast strip of S. Colorado Blvd. is worth a visit if you’re interested in food more than entertainment. The baba ganoush dip was very good. The tabouli salad used lots of parsley instead of wheat making it the perfect accompaniment to my kafta sandwich. The kafta was grilled just right… still juicy but not pink inside. Gyros meat is definitely spit roasted, not grilled patties. Appetizers include some new twists like pickled veggies and meat pies. Can’t wait to return to try the lamb shank dinner. Décor is casual but nice, reflecting the mideast theme without going overboard. Service a little shaky… our our waitress seemed to still be learning the ropes. Prices were very fair and the food was great so give them a try.

The chef/manager of Salam Grill worked at another nearby Middle Eastern staple for years and has always taken good care of myself and my friends. I was over the moon to hear that he was opening his own place and of course I ad to go on opening day. We were the first customers actually, which was a treat. The décor here is pleasant(with the exception of Kosi radio playing through the dining room. The dining room is clean and bright, with lots of windows. They’ve got what appears to be an outdoor garden fountain in the waiting area, which certainly serves to class up the place! As for the food, the quality and freshness are both there. All the staple dishes you would expect from a Middle Eastern place, along with some additional dishes that I haven’t seen before. We tried the zaalouk appetizer, which was an egglplant based dip with tomato. Somewhat like babaganoush, but with a different flavor and served warm. I had the vegetarian combo, which had rice, hummus, babaganoush, grape leaf, salad, garlic dip, and tabouli, Everything was quite tasty. My boyfriend ordered a dish that can’t remember the name of, but it was a beef stir fry of sorts. Strips of steak with bell peppers and onions, served with rice, salad, garlic dip and some type of pepper chutney. The only negative is that they do not make fresh pitas, but otherwise everything was great. I’m glad that there is a finally a place where both the food and the atmosphere are up to par. It’s also nice to be able to support a locally owned restaurant where I know from experience that the chef has been working his ass off for years and now has a place of his own.
