I feel like this might be a five star find but I’ve only done take out! It’s like a secret whisper in the shopping center behind near Albertson’s. In fact, you’ll be sitting in the drive through at McDonalds(Well, hopefully you won’t be but for example) and you’ll look to your right and see Pasta Pronto, aka, the place you should have gone. They’re actually pretty fast with the take out! Besides pasta of course, they have deli salads, I’ve had the chicken one and it’s amazing, pastries, and a full menu of entrees. It’s casual and would be a great place for a quick business lunch or a break from errands as they also have a dine-in section if you have time to relax. It’s become my go to on busy days when I don’t have time to really cook or stay long, and I can’t wait to try one of their famous mango tarts!

This restaurant is a hidden gem in a large shopping plaza. I used to stop by just to pick up their delicious Mixed Fruit Tarts. They’re a bit pricey but they are definitely amazing! Another one of our family friends also recommended their Mango Tart. They sometimes drive all the way down from Los Angeles to pick some up for parties. They really good as well. I once came here with family during lunch and tried their Seafood Pasta. It had a good amount of seafood in it and for the price, the portions were pretty big as well. We all enjoyed the meal and the staff was friendly as well! I would recommend trying their Mixed Fruit Tart or Mango Tart if you happen to be in the area :)

I ate here for the first time last night since the boyfriend was starving and it’s one of his favorite restaurants in his hood. I’m glad we came here because it was pretty good! This spot is not what I expected of their dining area, table linens, dim lighting and nice décor made for a pleasant surprise considering the front of of this restaurant looks like a quick to-go deli spot that has a number of scrumptious desserts in the glass case to tease all. We got served water and complimentary ciabatta bread with pesto dipping sauce right away. The first batch was nice and warm, but the second serving was right-out-of-the-fridge-cold. I stopped loading up on the carbs after that. We started off with a bottle of $ 20 Malbec which was light and not bad for its price. The cesar salads could have used a little more dressing, this barely had a hint of it. For dinner, we got the seafood pasta and chicken piccata with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. My chicken was good, the mashed potatoes was comforting and the broccoli I nibbled on made me not feel so guilty about eating the other stuff. His seafood pasta was yummy, I loved the creamy marinara sauce, very flavorful. He was already eyeing the dessert before we got seated and knew he wanted some after dinner, so I picked the macadamia cheesecake. I think I enjoyed this most out of the night, it was that good! Our dinner came out to $ 73 bucks which was worth it. The servers were all attentive and I loved the cute baby boy sitting in his car seat diagonally across from me, he wouldn’t stop smiling at me… I think my ovaries skipped a beat because I was in awe of how well behaved he was while he was having dinner with his parents and three older sisters. I’ll definitely go back now that I know this is where they sell this mango tart a friend likes to bring to house parties, but never discloses where he bought it. It’s freakin’ delicious, but will wait when mangoes are in season to give it another try.

All of the other reviews talk about their mango pie dessert, so I am going to be different! I have been here multiple times trying out different types of pasta or salad or dessert and everything has been very satisfying to eat. This time I had the orzo chicken with asparagus cold pasta. It’s in the case where you can buy it by the pound. I usually order half a pound which comes out only to around $ 5.00. The orzo pasta has a delicious italian dressing over it along with lots of sundried tomatoes and asparagus. The pesto chicken pasta is done very differently here. The pesto isn’t all blended together with the olive oil. Instead it’s tons of basil chopped up very fine and then they pour olive oil over it. There is plenty of chicken breast that is so moist and tender. It comes with a salad for around $ 11.00. The macadamia nut cheesecake is SOOGOOD! They don’t skimp on the macadamia nuts here. The cheesecake isn’t overly sweet and isn’t too rich. The crust is light and buttery. Around $ 5.00 a slice.
