This is everyone’s go to place. I’m not a big tejano fan but if you go for a birthday it’s great with alot of friends it’s fun. Ive always gone early I like to beat the crowds. I valet for $ 5.00 I think cause it’s so early. No there’s not of people at that hour but if you have good company it’s great. Cause it gets super packed. We usually have time to sit around and chit chat while having very cheap drinks before 10 they are $ 1.50 for wells. And 1.25 for beer it’s an awesome price. I don’t dance but if I did I’d love it the floor is nice and big. And everyone’s polite and have never had a problem. The restrooms are clean and when you get there early you can save a nice table or couch by the restroom so you won’t have to walk so far. Also they took out the pool tables and put like another little dance area back there with a Dj. They play a mix of stuff I noticed younger crowds back there. There is a smoking section out in back they do have a big propane heater as well. To me the earlier the better. I know most people like going later. Oh ! And they also have a taco stand with nachos that’s AMAZING! it’s got better and better every year I’ve been coming off and on for about 14 years. No tennis shoes and shirts must be tucked in. I like it’s a real classy club. Alot of couples. If I had to go somewhere it would be here. Remember for specials get there early.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday on a Saturday night here. The reservation process we excellent, thanks to Robert! He efficiently responded to my email requests and was able to accommodate additional tables for us after my initial request Pricing is reasonable all across the board(valet, entrance, drinks, etc.) We’ve been here several times in the past the atmosphere is always great with a variety in music Tejano, cumbias, and country. However, this past weekend the music wasn’t on point like other times it was all over the place with not very much cumbias music genres not lasting very long. 2 stars this time mainly because of our bartenders! Our waitress Martha was nice however didn’t know much about cocktails. I asked for Deep Eddy ruby red with sprite she looked clueless… I saw her telling the bartender who then looked even more clueless. I went to the bar to let him know what I asked for, I had point the bottle out to him after he started grabbing bottles asking me if that was it –_– A few of our guests ended up going to another bar since their drinks were not made well either. C’mon new west don’t let the rap music deter the older more mature crowd, it’s great to keep it diverse however that music will end up throwing this place out the window. Example we saw a group of guys going at it and shorty there after hearing gun shots in the parking lot!

Look for another place! Save your money your out 30 bucks within 5 minutes: valet entrance and a beer… The DJ plays ½ the songs: tejano country then rap… really all over the place. Needs new management that will upgrade it. Don’t bother found other places that’s better service ambiance and yes MUSIC. Oh no cowboys here looks like grahams on Saturday.

Lets see here, I paid $ 10 for valet and $ 10 bucks for cover so I am $ 20 down just walking in. We got here at about 11 p.m. with the craving for some tejano music. They played maybe 20 minutes of tejano music in the 3 hours we were there. The rest of the time it was hip hop and cumbias. The dance floor was huge and I got to dance around as we walked in a circle so can’t say it was a total loss but not enough fun for me to return.

Absolutely garbage. Everything was awful. Food tasted like it was microwaved the bartenders barely used any liqueur and there was entirely too much bass I could barely hear the actual music. Needless to say I will not be returning and I highly recommend anyone considering this dump think again.

Great place if you wanna dance tejano/cumbias! Loved the huge dance floor and reasonable drink prices. Music was on point! Dress code is enforced but not ridiculous. Your at a club people. Dress a little… There is NOFREE parking. $ 10 valet but entrance was only $ 7. I’m going back for sure.

We came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday this past weekend. This definitely want or first choice, but a lot of the birthday girl’s friends were having a good time here so we thought it would be easiest to just join up with them. It was going to be my first experience at a Hispanic club, but I was keeping my mind open. Tejano music can’t be that bad after a couple of drinks, right? Spotting this place is hard if you’re looking for it from Northwest Highway, but you’ll know when you’re there because everyone and there mamas will be trying to pull in here. Yup, it’s that busy and it’s hard to find parking here especially if you arrive later than 11, which was our case. There wasn’t any parking in New West’s parking lot and we were directed to go to the building next door. I don’t even know if we were allowed to park there, but we trusted the guy and paid him $ 10. When we got out he told us to make sure the car was locked. Wow. Apparently, people like to break into cars here. Deduct one star for safety concerns. We get in line to get in. Not a long line, but it moved slowly as everyone has to pay cover. Then this happens. Cop: «Hey, Ricardo.» *head nod* Bouncer: *looks at my shoes* «Hey, man. We can’t let you in with those shoes. They’re tennis shoe.» *points to sign with dress code* Me: Umm. No they’re not. They’re not dress shoes, but they’re definitely not tennis shoes.“ Bouncer: «Sorry. Can’t let you in.» *points at my buddy’s shoes* «We can’t let you in, either.» Oh, and this was AFTER we showed«Ricardo» our IDs and him looking us up and down. He didn’t have an issue with our attire until the cop said something. Here’s my question: Why does a COP have more power than a bouncer when it comes to enforcing dress code at a club? I consider tennis shoes as anything athletic. Mine were not. And apparently the cop has the final say. One of our friends that had been there came out to try to talk to the cop and managed to get the manager out as well. They talked for 5 minutes, but they still didn’t let us in after explaining it was or friend’s birthday. I will say that watching all that was pretty entertaining, though. This was our experience at this place. We got as close as 3 feet from the door and that was that. Never again! They need to put up their rules on their website and pictures of what their definition of «tennis shoes» are. And I want my parking money back!

Best place in Dallas that we’ve found to see Tejano bands or dance to Tejano/Cumbia music. We were in town recently and decided to stay one extra night to see Jay Perez in Concert(he was performing at New West). The venue is actually pretty big, with a huge dance floor. We were able to get front row to see Jay Perez sing and he put on a good show. The acoustics were great and we were able to dance with no problems. We didn’t witness any fights but there were a few Pachucos in the house. They had several bars around the dance floor, serving good stiff drinks at reasonable prices. This venue is bigger than any Tejano bar in Houston.

New West is really a cool hang out but unfortunately it attracts ghetto elements. All the times I go, there is always a fight but the club has very good security staff to keep things from going out of hand. Saturdays, DJ plays a good selection of Tejano, Top 40, Hip Hop, Cumbias, and Country music. Most of the crowd is early 20s and is a good place to meet someone. My favorite time to go is Fridays when they have live Tejano bands.

I like this place! I’m not a fan of Tejano music, but this place is more than that. It cost me $ 6 to get in on Saturday night. It is pretty large and the dance floor is too. It’s in the middle of the club, so the multiple bars surround it. I actually think that’s a pretty good set up. AND the fact that there is 100 bars to order drinks from. The people there are great! There is no cattiness or hating! Shocking, I know, for a club! I enjoyed the people as much as I enjoyed the club itself. It was real cool and a very large variety of people!

This place really wasn’t for me. My favorite part about it was my drink«the big cahuna» it was awesome, and way too much. This is more for people who only like tejano music and nothing else. I don’t think I will be going back anytime soon.
