I live on the same block as Bakeri and go very frequently, but have developed a love hate relationship with this place. Their baked goods and food are undeniably delicious, but the service makes it difficult to keep coming back. Recently I was served a smoothie with a rubber band in it that I discovered when I sucked it up through the straw. I’ve also waited inordinate amounts of time when it was totally quiet in there to later find out that my order had been completely«lost» with only the explanation that«sometimes that happens.» The disorganization and lack of customer service is just about enough to negate the beautiful space and good food. But baguettes! sigh.

Came here on an early Thursday afternoon and it was pretty empty. The service was actually good. Our server was patient as we decided which sandwiches and pastries to order. She even recommended a few items. We went with a latte, sandwich with soppressata and a pastry with apples. Everything was amazing. The décor was cute with a country chic flair. The place is small but if you come with a big group, you can walk to the waterfront to enjoy your goodies. I will definitely return and would love to try the williamsburg location too.

I really like both locations(williamsburg and greenpoint) . Best hazelnut rosemary cookies, berry bars, breads. Love the décor and the service. But why oh why do they ruin the experience with hiphop/rap or whatever that horrible music is. why !!

The décor is amazing– The inside makes you feel like you are in the country side. I come here for the coffee and the fresh bread. They make a great Cappuccino. There is seating inside and you can also order food– I’m not a fan of the sandwiches. The staff is very nice. Get the bread– Super fluffy!

Love this place. Some of the best Bakeri in greenpoint. exterior, interior are truly cute. We had the hum chees sandwich and macha scone. And both were delicious. I can’t wait to come back.

This hidden corner of Greenpoint reminds me why I’m so fortunate to live here. The décor is that of a rustic dollhouse/factory(?) that allows you to transport to a delightfully unfamiliar place. The coffee and confections are delicious, ad the staff is extremely friendly. I will be back… again and again. Overall, A+++

Here is why I start to not like Greenpoint anymore, I have been living here for 8 years and we now have those arrogant hipsters from Williamsburg living and working here. Guess I am gonna have to move further away as I don’t want to deal with these arrogant waitresses.

I generally don’t like overpriced places, but this location of Bakeri does have really good sourdough bread, which I’m willing to pay $ 7 for. Their pastries are hit-or-miss, and generally very expensive. The focaccia is really good, especially the mushroom one, as well as the various quiches. The coffee is consistently amazing, and their espresso is served in a gigantic bowl, so you definitely get your money’s worth. So even though Bakeri is terribly pricy, you can find some baked goods there that are worth the high price. As for the service, I’m surprised at all the negative reviews. I live literally five houses away from Bakeri and I go here often, whether its just to pick up some bread or to drink a cup of coffee. I have never had an unpleasant experience with any of the girls that work there. On the contrary, they are usually very sweet and acommodating. Maybe they’re nicer once they get used to you? Either way, don’t waste money on the pastries, but get a nice loaf of sourdough bread and a large latte.

This place is on my street so I go frequently but, dang, I’ve never seen so much incompetence. First, the table in the middle and line to the register make any semblance of order impossible. Second, the staff is extremely slow, easily confused and consistently rude. Third, speaking of consistency, some days the baked goods are great, other times inedible. Call me a glutton for punishment but I keep going back because sometimes the breads are amazing but I will stop going if things remain the same(and I’ve been going since the place opened).

the baguette itself is worth visiting Bakeri. get it early in the morning when it’s fresh — with a healthy dose of butter, it is the perfect breakfast. The gluten-free blueberry muffin is also a tasty option for gluten-free folks. The lemon cake is also good — not overly lemony but very light. The croissants were small and expensive(tiny, about 2 bites and about $ 3 each!) — they were very tender, but wasn’t the best I’ve had — lacked flakiness and taste. The pinwheel chocolate danish was a little burnt tasting, wasn’t the best. It’s a really cute place — looks like a converted car mechanic garage. Go for the baguette.

While visiting Brooklyn I stopped in here on the recommendation of the person I was staying with. My only regret is that I waited until the last day of my trip rather than the first. This is some of the best pastry you’re going to find, I don’t care what kind of snobby Brooklyn hipster you fancy yourself to be. I had a savory tart with carrots and kale and feta that was some of the best food I’ve ever put in my mouth. And because it was my last day in town I also indulged in the chocolate mini croissants. Also amazing. I noticed a few reviewers complaining of the cost. Speaking as a tourist I did not find the prices to be out of line, seemed competitive to me. The place is well appointed, charming atmosphere. The ladies running the place could not be nicer, and the coffee ain’t half bad. Go here ASAP. You will not be sorry.

I had visited Bakeri before and loved it, but last week my friend and I came in with a service dog and we were told we couldn’t eat inside. Despite us explaining that he was a medical alert dog and exempt from normal health code laws, they continued to(very rudely) tell us we had to leave. It was hurtful and pretty disappointing. I messaged the business later to try to encourage them to educate their employees on rights for people with disabilities but never heard back. Needless to say, I will never go there again.

Love this place, we come here regularly for brunch. Everything is delish, but the cinnamon roll is insane.

Headed to Greenpoint for breakfast, so naturally i wanted to go to Peter Pan. But my friend suggested Bakeri. What a treat to walk into this place. It’s surprisingly large, super charming, and has a great selection of pastries and breads.(This is definitely part of the«new» Greenpoint, not an old school Polish joint that you might expect in Greenpoint or Manhattan Aves.) Order at the counter, grab a seat, and the friendly staff will bring you your food. Coffee, mini croissants, and monkey bread were all great. There were some savory options too(like cheddar rolls and avocado tartine) that sounded good. I wish i had one of these in my neighborhood!

Good food. Cute place. Too expensive. Better put off starting that college fund for little David.

First this place is totally out of the way. It’s in the middle of a residential side street relatively far from a subway, and that subway is the G. But that’s part of the attraction, and it’s impressive that they manage to stay in business. The baked goods are good and the interior is well designed. They put wheelbarrow flowers out front on a nice day, it’s well lit, and they have an unpretentious communal table. Great place for a quick snack.

I’ve been to bakeri plenty of times in williamsburgh and its definitely my favorite coffee spot in the neighbor. But yesterday I stop by the new place in Greenpoint for lunch and had the chance to sit outside as it was such a sunny spring day. The place offers a nice communal table inside where you can see the big open kitchen. I tried a green salad, kale, kasha, seeds, raisins, fennel, olives, and the girls there added for me a hard boiled egg as I wanted some protein! It was amazing ! My friend tried a blueberry pie that was delicious. I also saw on their Instagram that they have catering service. Good to know !

I hate doing this but I’ll have to pass. This place just isn’t really all that impressive: PROS: Location is close to where I stay in Greenpoint. I just have to walk down Freeman street a few minutes and stroll on in. However, I can’t recommend for anyone to drive here and try to find parking. Good Luck with that! Tried the coffee and a banana nut muffin thinging. It looked like a brick… was good though. Interior is cute and cozy… even in 15 degree weather. Blonde girl behind the counter was sweet and inviting. Service from all the staff was above average. CONS: Overpriced pastries and baked items. They’re just too expensive considering their size. You shouldn’t have to pay almost 4 bucks for a good pastry when there are tons of other bakeries in the area. Selection was pathetic. Only a few items were visible. I’m used to Chinese, Spanish, French, Polish bakeries in the area with mountains of baked goodies spilling off of counters and everywhere you can see.

Bakeri is one of my favorite New York bakeries. The Williamsburg location is so cute I could eat it up. So of course I had to trek it to Greenpoint for their second location. I took the infamous G train up to Greenpoint. The train can be a challenge on the weekend and that is an understatement. It was a crisp fall day. I got off at Greenpoint Ave. walked up Manahattan Ave to Freeman St. and busted a left. It was very residential. I was worried that I was in the wrong neighborhood. And then I finally saw the light coming through the art nouveau glass doors. There was a vintage blue wagon with little flowers planted in it. I arrived one hour to closing and there was only a few people in the shop. I was awe struck by the gorgeous floral wallpaper from French designer, Nathalie Lété. Incredible! I think I feel on love with it! Is is possible to be in love with wall paper? Then there’s a large rustic communal table and a very nice breakfast bar that overlooks the kitchen. I love the exposed brick, the beautiful treat glass display and the large triangle pointed roof. I ordered my usual favorite the rosemary salted chocolate chip cookie with hazelnuts, a baby croissant and a polenta biscotti.(I ate the last two items the next day) Since, it was the end of the day there was not too many savory options. I am excited to come here and enjoy a bowl of soup or a slice of quiche. And of course a slice of their Spanish style«tortilla» and a soy latte. In the words of Schwarzenegger«I’ll be back».
