We usually go to Souper Salad for a low cost salad bar, and decided to try Primo’s All-You-Can-Eat Pizza, Pasta and Salad. What a disappointment. When we entered, there was an attractive array of pizzas and a reasonable salad bar, plus a 55+ discount. So far, so good. Although plentiful, the pizza did not look too appealing upon closer inspection. Minimal sauce, chintzy cheese and sparse toppings foreshadowed what turned out to be bad pizza. The crust was thick, doughy, and undercooked(as in gooey bread), and the sauce nearly non-existent. The meat pizza’s might had one or two shreds of meat per slice, and the vegetables were equally sparse. Basically, it was tasteless, mushy, and undercooked. We experienced two unique pizzas– Macaroni-and-cheese pizza with canned cheese sauce, and a sliced potato pizza. Huh? Starch on starch(read as «cheeeeeap»). The«pasta bar» consisted of stale tortilla chips, macaroni noodles with add-your-own melted cheese-like sauce, and spaghetti with add-your-own red marinara sauce. Then there were the desert pizzas. Not too sure about the actual toppings, but they looked like red jelly topping, yellow-something-lightly-spread topping, mashed applesauce topping, and something else un-identifiable. The only bright spot was the chocolate-chip cookie pizza. Its was pretty hideous looking– spots of brown-melted-candle-looking blobs, but it was really good. Like hot, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. The salad bar was decent– two kinds of lettuce, a wide assortment of sliced and chopped vegetables, and crumbled blue cheese. The jicama was a nice addition, but sadly, it was served in a bath of water(like the chopped celery), leaving it limp and rubbery. There were three dressings– Thousand Island(really sweet), Italian(skipped it), and a really good buttermilk Ranch. The croutons were pretty good too. I suppose I would have given a rating of 3 for the salad bar, but the pizza was truly awful. Its probably fine for a bunch of kids that wolf down the grub without tasting it, but for anyone that likes decent pizza(even Domino’s is better), its pretty gross. I’m glad I tried it once, but we definitely won’t be back.

Pizza at Primos is on the lower end of the pizza scale(comprable to Little Caesars or supermarket frozen pizza), and with recent price increases, I just can’t find a compelling reason to eat there. Compound the lower quality with the fact that they are slow to put out new pizza(more than once we’ve visited and found the buffet nearly empty), and we will stick with Idaho Pizza Company’s lunch buffet which is cheaper and much better quality.

I will do this as a list: 1. Arrived at 6pm on a Saturday night with my family and there were 4 slices of pizza. 2. The absolutely frazzled cashier wadded up my coupon and did not apply the discount until I reminded her. 3. Before I paid, I asked if they were going to have enough pizza and she said it has been busy, but we would have enough. 4. There were about 35 patrons in the restaurant. 5. My children had to stand at the counter and wait for a piece of pizza every time. 6. There were multiple times when at least 8 of us customers were standing waiting for food. 7. They ran out of all pasta and there was also no pizza to eat. 8. They had one salt and pepper shaker set in the entire restaurant. 9. There were 5 employees working that I saw, so of course the dining area was a pig sty! 10. The lady who seemed to be in charge just said, «I’m sorry. Today has been crazy. It’s been like Friday the 13th on steroids.» 11. I understand busy, but I have NEVER been to a buffet style restaurant where I felt guilty taking food because there were people in line waiting for food behind me. 12. I ran into an old co-worker who had never been to primos before tonight. He experienced the same things I did and he said he will never return again! I understand busy, and I understand short-handed, but as a customer at dinner on a Saturday night at a buffet, food should be readily available or they should answer honestly when I ask if there will be enough food. There was no customer service offered, like free sodas for the inconvenience or salad bar to the children as they were waiting for their food. The food tasted good, but the service/lack of service made the experience of spending $ 50 totally NOT worth it! When a family of 7 makes a decision to go out to dinner, we take many things into consideration because there are countless options out there! We left feeling totally ripped off from a dinner out as a family. This is not something we can afford to do often, and I wanted to make sure you knew of our experience. If this is business as usual, we will make another restaurant choice for our family. SO disappointing!

I like this place, but it has gotten too expensive for what it is. Just for my wife & I it is well over $ 20. Food is ok, but for the same price you can have a much better meal elsewhere.

My husbands coworker told us to go here. It reminds me exactly of CiCi’s Pizza. It is hard to give it a score because it delivers what it promises, it’s just that what it promises is cheap pizza, which I don’t like. Note to self: don’t trust that coworker’s advice in the future. On the plus side, the busboy was super friendly.

Pretty cool place! Pizza isn’t the best in the world, but it is pretty good! Also the desert pizzas are really good… mmm cookie dough… :) yum also they have a salad bar… so here’s for you grass eaters. haha Aaaand they have pasta and some sauce to go with it. Also sometimes if they don’t have the pizza you want out you can ask them and they will make it(i dont know what that depends on). It’s really cheap for all you can eat pasta, pizza, salad and dessert pizza… Amazing, isn’t it? prices: All You Can Eat Pizza Buffet $ 5.50 Kids 4 – 10 Years — $ 3.79 Kids 3& Under — Free
