I usually go here when I’m in town because of the friendly people. It’s often an older crowd, but they’re usually happy to chit chat. The bartenders have usually been pretty nice, too. But, you usually come out smelling like an old cigarette butt, and it’s often not all that busy. Drink prices are cheap.

It was near empty when I sent there, but there was FREEPOOL on a Sunday night and the people that were there were friendly. Again, the free games were nice.

Dear Emerald Club. In high school I used to stay up late doing homework until my parents went to bed… I «always had a big test.» Then around 11 I would make a quick change and out the window and into my car. one hour I would drive each way for your Thursday night«straight» night. With my brother’s ID in hand… I would hit the club. I always had fun – and what I like about the E club – even now living in NYC, is that it is… what it is… a filthy little faggoty hole in the wall… THANKYOU for that. You changed my freakin’ life. You old queen.

Great environment, respectable drink prices, fun New Year’s-ish drag show — include it on the pub crawl!

My 200th review! The Emerald Club is more true to it’s roots… a much different atmosphere than the Balcony Club. I’ve only been here once… the DJ was rockin’ and the ladies were knockin’. Glad to know Boise’s first queer club is still around. P. S. This is where Dorothy surrendered. *wink, wink*
