Always awesome service! Can’t go wrong with Bang Bang Shrimp, Sangria and Crème Brulee!!!

After wanting to try this place for a long time we finally were able to. Our first time dining here will be our last. The food was good, but not worth the price considering the loud atmosphere, slow service, and dismissive attitudes of the staff. The food: We did enjoy our food once we finally got it. My wife ordered the spicy tuna bowl and had to wait 30 minutes extra because they were ‘temporarily out’. I ordered the crusted trout with truffle Mac-and-cheese and spaghetti squash. Then we were informed that they were out of the squash, so I chose the broccoli. It seems that the restaurant may want to have a discussion with their manager. How hard is it to stock the kitchen with items listed on your menu? It may be understandable if it were getting close to closing time, but our reservations were at 6:30. The food was not horrible, but it wasn’t any better than the countless other dining options in the downtown area. I’ll be going elsewhere next time The restaurant and staff: I felt that the seating arrangement in the dining room was poorly laid out. They have their large group tables in the middle with smaller tables next to them. There are several tables and booths on the west end that would probably provide a much quieter and intimate experience. We were seated at a smaller table right next to a large group that was being obnoxiously loud. They really ruined our dining experience. We noticed that there were several tables situated farther away from this group and asked our server to reseat us in a quieter section. He told us that the restaurant was too busy and no other options were available. ALL of those tables remained vacant the entire time we were in the restaurant. We mentioned our disapproval to the hostess on our way out and her response was that it’s a busy place and if you have special requests to voice that when making the reservation. If I want too eat medicine seafood in a loud cafeteria style location I’ll go to Skippers. The next time I want too take my wife out for a nice intimate dinning experience I’ll find another location to spend my money.

The restaurant was FREEZING, and the average food was cold within minutes. The manager turned up the heat after the hostess heard us talking about it with next table over– but did not speak to us. Disappointing, since our meal was ruined.

Went in for Sunday brunch, $ 19.90 for bottomless mimosas, bellinis or bloody marys with your brunch entrée is a great deal. Pancake and fresh fruit for my son at $ 4.95 was a huge portion and also a great deal. Unfortunately the food is just, well, A-OK. Not terrible, but uninspired and very chain-y. Service is always friendly but the food just won’t bring us back.

We waited for 10 minutes just to see our server. It seemed like no one was working there. Usually with my fiancé and I eat here we have noting but good things to say but this time was much different. We got our bread only after we had to remind our server about it AFTER we received our meal. We won’t be coming back for a while.

Relaxing and pretty nice place to have dinnner or lunch. I enjoy the bang bang shrimp, the dumpling, mahi mahi and crab chowder

Juda was our waiter. He was nice and reminded me Robert at the Boise coop. I think the food at this place was alright. The taste I felt are as the same level as some chain restaurants(Yard house)

JUSTOK. Nothing Special. We always have wanted to eat at Bonefish as they are in California and here downtown Boise. We had 4 adults and 2 kids. The food was fine. But it would go in our just OK restaurant. And doubt we will ever be back. Be careful when they give you that line of would you like some bread. Since they are asking, I guess that means you will pay for the bread. You will leave the place hungry too. They have the California prices and portions…

Solid dinner. Service was fast. We had a coupon from their website, so price was about right. I think maybe we just ordered the wrong items off the menu. I actually think the Kilted Kod food truck fish and chips is better than here(sorry!). But this has better atmosphere, of course. We had the Lily chicken dish as well, and it was decent. We will probably try different items, and I might be able to upgrade my rating.

The Bang Bang Shrimp is a must-try! It’s in a great location downtown with parking nearby. I recommend stopping by before and after dinner times because the happy hour menu is such a great bargain. Pretty much anything on the menu is bomb! Drinks are great too!

Meh. Nothing to be excited about. Sat on the patio and listened to some very annoying loud music while waiting for our food. Ordered potstickers, pretty tasty but u only get 4 for $ 8. I ordered salmon with mashed potatoes and fresh steamed veggies. Salmon was very yummy and the spoonful potatoes you get, weren’t too bad. Veggies(zucchini) very mushy. My husband got the fish tacos and I’ve had better at baja fresh. Cold, chewy tortillas and very very bland overall. Server was friendly but we barely saw her. Had to wait a long time to get the check, water, utensils. So so so many better places in Boise. Will not be returning.

Let’s start off by we had no silverware until the end of our meal. We got the bread and salad after we had finished our entrée’s, I paid $ 13 for two teeny pieces of cod(I got fish & chips) and maybe a child’s handful of fries. I got one water refill the hour we were there and that was just two minutes before we left. The server didn’t know what was on the happy hour menu(drinks wise) or prices(he guessed and never got us the actual price), we had to ask for silverware twice, they just kept forgetting stuff. The salad tasted rotten, the fish was mediocre(over cooked a bit), a lot of our questions he couldn’t answer, and this is all even when a manager stepped in to try and help. At the end we ended up with 2 managers and 2 servers helping us, not to mention we asked for everything up front pretty clear and precise and nothing complicated whatsoever. Fish & chips with a side of BBQ, and a house salad, with water/lemon Shrimp tacos with greens with a rum/coke. Food took 40 minutes to get out Not to mention the entire time we were there it was dead, the music was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think, and the server we had rolled his eyes at us over and over when we asked for anything. We had to ask for pretty much everything twice to three times. Everything was severely over priced for the amount of food you got and the grade of fish served

SUNDAY brunch. Awesome. $ 20 all you can drink specials and yummy food. I posted some photos of my Sunday brunch so you can see just how fantastic it really is. Great service wonderful food and a little taste of mimosas in downtown Boise. Don’t worry about the alcohol so early in the day. You have down town to walk around and burn it all off on a great spring day.

Excellent dinner and excellent service. What else needs to be said? But Unilocal wants me to write a longer review so I will tell you how much I loved the dinner. It was excellent and we had excellent service.

We love to go to Bonefish when we visit different cities. Boise is no exception. And although we arrived with only 30 minutes until close, the waitstaff was very nice and didn’t give a hint(like some waitstaff does when you show up close to closing time) of any annoyance at all. We always have the bang bang shrimp and I tried to wedge for the frist time. Although it was good, I would have preferred a bit more substantial bacon. The dressing didn’t blow my socks off either. The burger was well cooked and was dressed very well.

I love Bonefish. I have never had a bad dinner nor server. We came in last Friday night for a cocktail and dessert. I have to say, when I glanced at the menu, they had removed my most favorite dessert! I went there specifically for it!(And the white winter Cosmo, not gonna lie) I ask the server if they no longer had it. Our server smiled and said she thought they had some more, just for me! She was darling. Her name was Amanda. Long story short, we ordered two, there were two adults and three young adults in our party. To the manager. PLEASEDONTSTOPSERVINGTHECOCONUTPIE! It’s the only one on town that is really coconut, not cream. It’s decadent. Honestly. And. Thank you Amanda. You made our trip worth while by digging me up a piece of heaven.

I had a gift card to Bonefish, otherwise I probably would have never come. After our appetizer arrived, I knew I would definitely be back. The bang bang shrimp bang banged my socks off! Our server Matt was very friendly and knowledgeable. The Sirloin+Crab cake dish was amazing and very reasonably priced. The mashed potatoes and spaghetti squash were just average. I tried the white truffle Mac and cheese which was rich and delicious along with the mahi mahi which was pretty good, but I don’t have the best idea of what good fish taste like. All in all, I’d come back just for the great service and the bang bang shrimp. On a side note, it’s Christmas time and there were paintings done on the windows of fish wearing Santa hats and what I can only assume are jellyfish. The jellyfish bare a striking resemblance to big, green, veiny penises. They were only slightly distracting from an otherwise great meal.

I wandered in out of the snow and sat at the bar. It felt like home as I watched the Lakers get their second win against Houston. Stay focused… right, point being, the bar has televisions. If you have never been into a Bonefish Grill, it is quality dining, but not fine dining. I’ve been to Bonefish about 5 times, at different locations throughout the United States, and I’ve never had a bad experience, they are always consistent. You can tell that they take pride in everything they do. The bartender was great, unfortunately I don’t see his name on the receipt. He was friendly, had good food suggestions, and provided valuable insight about Boise and my desire to get a drink out on the town after dinner. The bar area is nice, and in this case, plenty warm. I found friendly conversation with a few other people who were enjoying dinner and escaping the cold. Based on recommendation, I had two local beers which were both ‘A’ grades: the Payette and the Sockeye IPA. The craft brews were $ 5.50 each, and very tasty. My entrée was EXCELLENT, I had the Rheas Snapper, which was cooked to perfection and had crab lumps on top. It was a good size piece of fish that filled me up. For my side I had the broccoli, which was some of the best I’d ever had, no joke. My meal was a solid ‘A’! They also serve a tasty, warm loaf of bread with a house special dipping sauce, which is olive oil, salt, and other delectable ingredients I could not isolate. I left with a smile, this was a good experience.

Looking for the right combination of good food, nice atmosphere and a convenient downtown Boise location? Bonefish is a good choice. We arrived before 630 and took advantage of the early bird specials on appetizers and salads. I tried the Caesar salad. It was two dollars. Amazing! I followed that with the salmon special, a wonderful combination of flavors with roasted tomatoes, spinach and garlic sauce, accompanied by couscous. We finished it off with a macadamia nut brownie was well put together with raspberry sauce, whipped cream and ice cream. The combination was superb. Dine before 6:30PM. Get that extra value and enjoy. Salute!

We showed up for happy hour and the place almost looked closed other than the music playing out front. Not as busy as the other restaurants around it … that was part of the draw. We have been here one other time and found the food to be about the same as last. It was okay. On the pricer side and given the absentee of customers, still surprised this place has lasted. Happy hour menu is decent however and if you want to give this place a shot I would recommend going that route. Props to service however… very attentive! Maybe because there was no one in the restaurant???
