The staff is friendly and the sandwiches are good if you’re of the type that likes meat on bread. They have high quality meat but that is pretty much all there is. I for one prefer more variety on my sandwich unless I’m ordering something like a french dip where it is expected to just be meat with maybe some cheese. I gave it 4 stars because while it is not my preferred style of sandwich stop, they do what they do well. The dock of a star came from the price. It was $ 10 for bread and meat.

I needed a big sandwich for a fantasy football party and after shopping around and doing some price checking I made the choice to go with the local. Cobby’s never disappoints. The service through the whole process has been amazing. They are totally willing to work with me on every aspect to make sure the party gets the best possible product plus chips and fruit and plates and napkins and amazing customer service! I could not be happier with this whole transaction! Oh, and yes, they were priced more reasonably than any of their competition!

people love this place in town. It’s not your normal sub shop. However, I have been a few times and dig my sandwiches and the beer options.

I grew up in Idaho, went to Boise State, and lived on Cobby’s. It is still the same place that makes a truly awesome sandwich.

This place was a last minute lunch decision and I might return. I got the turkey and avocado sandwich, which was good but nothing amazing. Overall it was average food and nothing really special.

Cobby’s asks for a bit too much money for rather average food. While I’ve been told this place is an institution, I’m not sure why… The sandwiches are good, but you can get better for less money elsewhere in town. The«fresh» salad bar and fruit are very unappealing options to accompany your sandwich as they are bruised and sickly looking. Simply meh.

They always have the nicest people working there. Even though it’s more expensive than subway they don’t cheat you on meat and you get unlimited chips or fruit with any sandwich purchase.

Cobby’s seems like just the sort of hole-in-the-wall type joint that would really rock a mean sammy. Alas…nope. I ordered what turned out to be a pretty uninspiring turkey sandwich. What is it that takes a deli sandwich from ho-hum to mouth watering deliciousness? I don’t know – but, unfortunately, Cobby’s didn’t seem to either. Honestly, there was nothing overly BAD(except maybe the salad bar area that had some apples and oranges that had seen better days)…but it wasn’t very GOOD either, which makes it a difficult one to score. What they do have working for them is ample space(more than it would seem from the outside), a location right across Broadway from BSU(serving beer doesn’t hurt when you’re right across from the university – so, they’ve got that going for them as well!), and a longstanding position in our community(they’ve been here since 1979 – certainly gotta respect that). I have heard good things about their soups, so one of these cold afternoons, I may wander in and give that a whirl. Until then, really, about a 2.5 star experience.

I gotta go with three stars on this one. Service was ok, food was decent. I ordered Italian sausage on foccacia bread, which sounds really yummy. Unfortunately, it was kind of a let down. Especially the bread, which was pretty bland. I was bummed out because I had eaten at a different Cobby’s years ago and remember it being quite better.

Mehh, it’s an overpriced sandwich but I guess it’s okay. Beat up shack, lacking ingredients(everything is «extra $$») and the bread seems to be shipped in. I’d rather have Crappy Subway for half the price and be able to have green peppers and black olives, and not feel like I’m in an episode of Kitchen Nightmares inside. This place should be shut down by the health inspector as it’s filthy.

Pastrami Sand and Chowda! Good sandwich spot and great counter service. The décor is kinda funny… rustic in a concrete building with some original old signs and such, but not over done.
