Decent portions and fair prices. The sushi is a little bland. The soy sauce tastes watered down. The wasabi is super strong.

It’s not great sushi… just lots of it… and cheap! They are very accommodating and will make anything for you… sushi is always fresh… cheap= high volume= super fresh all the time… my personal favorite isn’t on the menu, but ask for it and give it a whirl. it’s called a Spicy Pepper Tuna Hand Roll… try it today… seriously, it’s EPIC!

Our normal place closed down so my husband and I figured we would try it out. Nice people. Willing to help. Clean. Good food. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is we ordered a plate of seared salmon from 2 different people and it never came. Over all though, we’ll come back.

Wow, no. Nope, nope, nope. Look, I know where my expectations should be when it comes to track sushi — this isn’t my first rodeo — but this place manages to slide waaaaaay under that limbo pole. Yes, the prices are low. That’s awesome if you don’t have much money and want to have the worst possible time with that money. With all of the obvious cut corners, if the prices were higher I’d be furious. As it is, I think, «eh, at least they passed along the savings.» The food looks as bad as it tastes and is cheaply made. Even the soy sauce is bad. How is that even possible? Order the cucumber salad if you’re stuck eating here and have to eat at least something in order not to be rude. Order the unagi if you hate yourself and are still punishing yourself for that thing 10 years ago. PUTTHEUNAGIDOWN, ITWASN’T YOURFAULT. I just got done eating here and I wouldn’t say I’m full so much as I’d say I’m done.

My fave track sushi joint. Cheap, attentive staff, clean, and good food.

They’ve stepped it up lately. Most rolls are standard belt-sushi but the hot mushrooms are the best I’ve ever had. You usually have to order them but they’re so worth it. Whatever was going on with the soy sauce isn’t anymore, and I find myself here a couple times a week– really though, the mushrooms.

It wont win any Michelin stars, and doesn’t look any different than your every day sushi boat place, but the vibes and the food at this place are amazing. I went in at 2 o clock on a Friday. There were families, young couples, single professionals — even a guy working on his laptop. The neighborhood loves this place apparently. I chose my own seat right away, and promptly boarded the train to Chow Town with two delicious rolls. The family nearby was very sweet and we chatted a bit. Two girls in couples seated across the bar from each other complimented each other’s lipstick. I got asked twice within 15 minutes by staff how everything was and if they could get me anything. My water was refilled in a promptly manner. Prices are 1.85 for nearly every roll. The staff jokes around and seemed happy, but it was’t obnoxious or anything. If every day is like this at Sushi Hana, I’ll definitely be back for more.

Customer Service: Was my favorite Sushi place up until the Hispanic host with a shovel looking head/face was absolutely rude and very disrespectful! Worst customer service I’ve ever received. Walked in and noticed it was a busy evening so I decided to wait for a booth, wrote my name on the waiting list just so another party of two can show up after & get the booth we had been waiting for longer! We pointed it out & he said«Well I’m telling you right now they are sitting 1st& that’s just that way it’s gonna go okay!» The attitude and the way it was said was unwelcoming especially in front of all the customers. He said we could leave & come back if we wanted to speak to his manger the next day… What a shame since I actually enjoyed sushi there.

I can’t even give this place 2 stars for the kind service I received from most of the employees here. The food was just that nasty, and when it’s made by people who look like they’d fit right in at Walmart, I don’t really know how I could be surprised. I went around lunch time, and since the one by Washington Square is amazing, I figured this one would be too. Pfft, this is a Sushi Hana restaurant in name only. The«sushi» tasted stale, soggy, and bland. I felt my money would’ve been better spent at Safeway, which is really saying something if you’ve had their«sushi». Again, the employees were very nice, one of them even offered not to charge me for the tea I didn’t drink(even the freakin’ tea was nasty people!!). But niceness cannot be eaten and it can also only go so far. It is fairly cheap though, so there’s that. Verdict=*/*****

Great sushi for a great price. $ 1.85 for most plates. It is a revolving sushi train so you get to pick and choose the already made sushi. You can also order specific rolls from the menu if you want it fresh or don’t see it on the track. My favorite roll is the Vegas Roll which has artificial crab, avocado, and cream cheese that is all deep fried in tempura. I would recommend eating this one when it is freshly made. The service is good. The seating options are along the track(sitting side by side) and a couple of booths for larger parties. I went for late lunch so it wasn’t super busy, but did have a few groups there already(good sign). I recommend getting spicy mayo on the side for dipping. It is siracha and mayo mixed. It is delicious. They also have wasabi and ginger at the table.

Ehhh, this is aight. For the cheap price I’m always down to go here, but there’s a ton of people there and the wait can be long(surprisingly since this seems to be a rather fast-paced sushi place). If you’re not a fan of the raw sushi(like me), I’d recommend this place though. There’s a lot of fascinating rolls and variations that you can order – personal favorites are the volcano and dragon rolls. Note: I do not consider myself a sushi connoisseur. I just eat what tastes good, man. The dragon roll is adorned with avocado and eel on top, then stuffed with tempura shrimp and cucumber plus something else – I think imitation crab? The volcano roll is colossal, sprinkled with tempura shavings and filled with tempura shrimp. Then there’s a drizzle of spicy mayo on top.(You can tell there’s a running theme of tempura shrimp things here.) The california rolls are aight, too. If made fresh, delicious. And there’s an interesting one of a pulled apart salmon inside the sushi and topped with a barbecue-esque sauce. Guaranteed you could probably eat in about twenty minutes if you need to. Perfect for a quick lunch!

Service is not good at all. And for being a new restaurant? Really? ~ Please look up the food rating for Sushi Hana’s. They are BARELY passing. BARELY. How disgusting is that.

I come here at least once a week and it’s is awesome! Food: The sushi is really good. Usually order my rolls so they are fresh, but they have a big selection on the belt. Crowd: The place is always busy, which is great for conveyor belt sushi restaurant because then you will know it’s fresh. I actually seen the employees take some food off the conveyor belt that has been on there a while. Price: Great prices. Low and affordable. Employees: Great and very attentive. Always asking what I need. The cooks always asking if they can make me something. Atmosphere: Music is always playing and it’s like top 100 music. I would recommend this place 100%! Best food on the menu is the Vegas Roll.

Placed a pick-up order 1.5hrs in advance — wasn’t a HUGE order(about 17~20 rolls/plates) — and the order wasn’t ready on-time. Waited about 10 minutes. The place wasn’t busy, so I’m not sure if they just didn’t time it right. The girl working there was really nice though & apologized for the wait. Salmon nigiri was good. The sushi quality was okay for a belt sushi place.

Their quality is average. Not very creative items on the menu, not well-crafted rolls either. But I come back again and again because it s affordable, fresh, and I don’t have to wait for a table.

Avoid this place like the plague! Over priced, old, disgusting sushi with horrible service! This place used to be the best sushi spot in town, until recent visits where the waitresses are rude, unknowledgeable about simple things like sake. The last couple times we have found that there is nothing on the belt that hasn’t been sitting there for God only knows how long. So naturally we order all of our plates and the sushi-makers throw some attitude. I didn’t end up getting everything I ordered, but that’s probably a good thing because we ended up both, my husband and I, getting food poisoning! So bad that my husband did not sleep all night! Like I said, avoid this place! Sushi track, Benihana, and Sinju are much better!

OHNO! This is not Izakaya! We honestly didn’t know they changed. as we never noticed the sign changes. So the first thing everyone in my group noticed was that the freshness Izakaya always seemed to have was now gone. All the sushi seemed stale. Everyone was trying to figure out if it was because we came in after Thanksgiving and that everything had sat in the fridge longer than usual, but we all almost simultaneously recognized the once ‘alive’ taste and feeling of Izakaya sushi, was gone. I complained to the now all Latino staff that my roll was horrible before it dawned on me the plates were different and the signs were different. Nobody in our group said they’re coming back after tasting this flavorless Susha Hana ‘chain’ sushi. Just sayin! Sayonara Izakaya… you are already missed!

So, Izakaya Kaiten is now another Sushi Hana. We have liked both for years. Especially princess. Had my birthday lunch there today with my ex brother in law /friend. Princess is in the hospital. :( He had sake. I had miso soup. He and I both had several plates of sushi, bean paste filled sesame balls, tempura shrimp and veggies, cheesecake, cucumber salad, salmon nigiri, and calamari. Everything was fresh and tasty. What’s different? Tables on perimeter are gone. Servers are the same, they kept their jobs, no more bento boxes or terriyaki, more variety on the belt, and lower prices. Tvs with cartoon network are gone. All in all a great lunch.
