Potbelly sandwiches are know for their fresh bake bread(similar to Schlotzky’s) and their various meat combos. Rotating soup options depending on the day are always a nice way to warm up in the winter. Potbelly also has an underground menu with sandwich combos you never even dreamed of(check internet for off menu items). Why not five stars? Well the quality of service can vary but the food is rather consistent.

I really love this place for a quick lunch. I highly recommend a Regular Turkey with all toppings except Mustard and Oil. The Hot peppers are a show stopper, and I don’t like spicey but they’re that good! I will say that it was a bummer they were out of stock on turkey and hot peppers today especially when there’s clearly jars of peppers(retail jars) lining the counters… Still a favorite regardless!

Wasn’t having a good day when I came in to grab a sandwich. But the staff at this location were very friendly and nice and really turned my day around. Sam especially went above and beyond to make my dining experience here really great. Definitely stop by this location if you’re in the area looking for a good meal

I love the food — hate the service. Since moving nearby, we have eaten here probably 6 times and each time I’ve just been so annoyed by the staff. Outside of a couple people, they’ve just been short, seemed like we were bothering them, or just really unprofessional. One time the gal taking the orders at the beginning of the line even said out loud to where I could hear while gossiping to another team member that one of the other workers was working on getting himself fired. I heard it so I know the other team member did which was awesome. As a customer, I don’t need to be hearing that and be uncomfortable. I just want my food. So stop gossiping and make it. I just feel like the staff is very immature and not just due to age. I’ve never really seen anyone running anything in there except that lady who was talking about firing that kid. And if she was a manager/supervisor, it’s clear why the rest of the staff is the way it is. As an ex restaurant manager, I know how things should and can be run and there is much to improve here from what I’ve seen so far. Will be back for the food not the service.

I tried to call in an order and they left me on the phone forever. It’s a shame because I love potbelly there are only two locations the south of 183. Here is a tip. If you don’t have time to take an order for pick up, do not pick up the phone and tell the person on the line, quotes«we’re really busy right now, hold on.»

First time trying Potbelly. Ordered a salad added avocado and tried to find a table. Every available table in the place was filthy and needed to be bussed. Opened my salad and it was missing half of the ingredients. No walnuts, apples or cranberries. Took the salad back to the counter and was told we will make you another one. No apologies, just stone cold faces. Waited at my table thinking they would bring it to me, they didn’t. Went back to the counter and tried to wade through the crowd of people at the checkout, gave up and started back to my table. Heard clerk say, «we have your salad ready». Went to table and opened salad, avocado missing. Went back to counter and asked for the avocado I paid extra for. Clerk gave me the avocado. Again, no apology or even a word spoken to me at this exchange. Witnessed the same clerk watch an entire family struggle trying to get ice out of the ice machine, but offered no help at all. Just ignored them. Food was actually ok, but customer service is really lacking here.

This place is so disorganized, the food mediocre, and the service terrible. Had to say our orders 3 times, to 3 different people, and they still got my order wrong. I am allergic to onions and they still managed to put them in my salad, which was wilted, cucumber brown, just terrible– I couldn’t even eat it. Thought the lentil kale soup was vegetarian, as most soups labeled lentil kale are, but discovered ground meat in it. Could barely hear the people behind the counter as they were asking if we wanted the options on the sandwiches so fast that we couldn’t understand, then they acted frustrated when we asked to repeat. One thing that so many businesses don’t get is that: 1. Good quality food is not hard, and 2. Excellent customer service is simple. Be friendly, welcoming, listen to the customer and make it as easy as possible for them to enjoy a quality service. Waste of money, never going back again.

Really bad! Poor customer service. You order at one station and then each station they ask you again and again what you want. Unfriendly too. I said I didn’t want something in the meal to one person and when I got home it was in the meal. So couldn’t eat it. So asking three times I didn’t want it in my sandwich and they still put it in there. Pricey for a very average looking sandwich too. Only plus was live music, he was great.

Had the need to grab a quick bite to eat and wanted something healthy and tasty. I was planning to take the order to go but the smell and the live music playing at lunchtime was so nice I had to stay. The experience has stuck with me to the point that I’m writing this review at the end of the day just reflecting on how nice it was. Also the staff behind the counter were great! I had a tuna on wheat and it was perfect. Oatmeal chocolate chip cookie? Yes thank you.

So far on my first ever trip here the girl at the counter has been rude… gotten my order wrong… and the girl at the register has gotten what I had wrong and had to run my card multiple times just to get it right. There is a giant puddle on the floor from a huge leak and neither girl has any intention of cleaning it up more do they care. The food is average. I can make a sandwich at home for cheaper and not have to deal with this type of service. I will never be back.

So, this place is clean, smells delicious and has cute décor. I was excited to try this place! Unfortunately, for me, service is just as(if not more) important than the food. There is one young man and one young lady working right now– at 5:30 on a Tuesday. He is clearly overwhelmed and trying hard to remember to ask the right questions and everything. SHE(i’d give a name, but no name tags were to be seen And i have no receipt) was so rude I almost left before they finished making my food. This young lady is absolutely not a good person to have at the front of a store speaking to customers. She barks orders about where people are supposed to stand(which is completely stupid because this is like a subway with fewer options. not exactly rocket science) and I stood there for a full minute before realizing my transaction was complete(as evidenced by her yelling at the next customer about how he wasn’t standing in the right place to ask for lettuce). I was told by this 16 year old child where to stand, gruffily asked«what else» «what else» and«what else» I might want. When I was given permission to move to the register, I was told«12.61 do you want a bag?» And then she swiped my card, set it on the counter by my keys and was barking at the man behind me. Really? No indication my card was accepted. No thank you? No get the heck out of here? NOTHING? I am not impressed. She should be washing dishes. Or maybe working somewhere that doesn’t require speaking to other human beings.

The service here isn’t good. For the 3rd time in a row the soup I ordered online isn’t available. The issue is I’m not notified until I show up and pay. I asked this past time and the girl said try should be calling but get busy during lunch rush. I lived in Chicago(where they started) and loved it. Since moving to ATX I don’t feel the quality is as good. I can’t put my finger on it but it’s there.

It’s really annoying when the staff screams at you and acts impatient if you don’t order fast enough. I know it’s lunchtime and it’s busy, but it’s my first time here and I haven’t got your menu memorized, nor do I know which station puts on the mayo and tomatoes. Life is short. Be nice.

This place was a surprise to me. The sandwich was good and the flatbread was crispy and not soggy. I got a big Wreck and it was just enough for dinner. The price was comparable to the other sandwich stores.

I mean… The hot peppers. Can’t beat them, great addition to a toasted sub. First time I tried Potbelly’s was years ago in Chicago, was glad to find one here!

I thought the sandwiches were a little uninspired. I’ve been here twice and tried two different sandwiches and came to the same conclusion each time. Sad but true.

Came here this(Saturday) afternoon, no line at all. More than enough parking out front. Our sandwiches turned out how we wanted them… after I had to repeat the order about 4 times! It was kind of annoying, because my dog was in the car(it was a cold day today) and I needed to get in and out. They were probably stoned but whatevs I still got what I came there for. For the cheap pricing it’s nice to have a sandwich place around the corner for lazy Saturday’s.

Sandwiches are still good, but since management has changed service is really bad. Looks like the old staff went with the old manager. I’m a regular ordering online or eating in. 3 times I have order online and when I went to pick it up they had no clue of my order. Dining in has gotten bad too. Staff is very slow and usually not in the best of moods.

If the goal at Potbelly is to make the customer feel entirely unwelcome and to get that person out as soon as possible they nailed it. It was my first time to try Potbelly but there was no one in line so I had plenty of time to look at the board and figure out what I wanted. I walked up and the girl asked what I wanted and my bread choice. I told her and said I wanted the original, but then she asked if I wanted an original again and seemed annoyed, while giving zero eye contact through the transaction. I started to say what else I wanted on it and she said that’s the next station. Okay… So I moved a little further down the line(not sure where the next station was) and she started to take another order. I thought maybe someone else was handling the rest of it since there were like 5 other people there but then she came down asked again what I wanted and then THREW the sandwich bag at me. I kid you not, I was shocked. I can maybe understand if it was a busy lunch hour but there was one other person in line. I then moved to the cash register where again, someone who refused to look at me started to ring up my order. She didn’t ask if I wanted it for here or to go but I did need it to go so I asked for a bag which again was simply handed to me to bag my own soup, sandwich etc. like there was a huge rush. I was rung up and she walked away. The sandwich and soup were good but nothing exceptional, kinda reminded me of Quiznos. I usually like to give everyone a second chance but this is probably the first and last time I’ll visit Potbelly’s.
