I went in here for the first time last week and they will have all the business I can give them in the future. I was coming from the doctor’s office suffering a migraine and could hardly see or even think straight. Immediately upon walking in the door, I was pleasantly greeted by a woman who offered to take my prescription up to the counter and help me navigate the store. They immediately checked to make sure my prescription was in stock so I wouldn’t be waiting with a headache. I couldn’t find my insurance card, so the pharmacist kindly offered to call Blue Cross for me to get my information and then jumped right on the phone. I was in and out within ~10 minutes, and all of the employees were fantastic: nice, courteous, and quick to help me out. LOVE this place!

I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. The pharmacy staff are very helpful and have gone out of their way to answer questions, help with insurance coverage, etc. Amy, in particular, spent a great deal of time working to get me a more affordable prescription price. She is very thorough and seems to really care about her customers!

I LOVE this place! Especially the deli… So many healthy options that are so hard to find at a lot of places! The customer service is great! The deli manager Alexandra always answers all of my questions and recommends new choices for me to try! I’m hooked on the maca!

This is a great place, they have all you need for a healthy life style. I am there almost every day. Nicole Pinedo is by far a life saver who can answer any questions and make sure you are well taken care of. Martha in the deli makes a mean coffee, and might I add always with a smile! I recently had a negative experience with an RX drug and Ali was quick to take care of it, by calling my doctor and standing up for me when I needed it. She personally took care of the situation. Thanks Peoples RX south for being there for me!

Austin is the city of interesting concepts. People’s RX is part pharmacy, part take-out restaurant offering an assortment of Paleo food goodies. Not everything on the menu is Paleo, but any Paleo eater will certainly find something to enjoy. They offer a variety of sandwiches, which can be made on Paleo bread(think almond or coconut flour). I was lured here by the grass-fed chili, but there were too many ingredients that either weren’t Paleo or I just didn’t like, so I got the chicken soup instead. Even the chicken soup had corn in it so not perfect Paleo, but great for a quick + filling lunch with lots of veggies while in Austin. They also have a few aisles of packaged goodies, Kombucha in the fridge, and a freezer with frozen grass-fed meats for purchase. There is no place to sit and eat inside, so keep that in mind. I love the concept, but a little pricey for what you get. If they’re trying to attract the Paleo crowd, they could use some improvement.

Worst customer service. If you do not have to use this pharmacy don’t. They seem annoyed by customers. Refuse to answer questions and are just rude. I dropped off a prescription they grabbed it and told me it would be 24 to 48 hours. Seemed clueless that I was requesting a flavor for the prescription and sent me on my way. Then called 10 minutes late to confirm the flavor(that they refused to acknowledge while I was there) and confirm it would actually be ready by 6pm that day! I arrive, no one has a clue what I’m talking about. They put the prescription under a different name, when I asked the girl who took the prescription if she could help the other girl find it, she said she didn’t know anything she just takes the prescriptions and then said«next» to the person behind me. Needless to say I’m still waiting on that prescription. Worst customer service ever.

Did you know that People’s Pharmacy has more organic foods per square foot than even Whole Foods Market does? This is the place to go for healthy organic snacks, healthy organic sandwiches on paleo bread, healthy 100% organic smoothies, cold pressed organic juices, healthy 100% organic soups, grass-fed beef chili, organic breakfast tacos all day long, bulletproof butter coffee with collagen, gluten free pasture raised chicken noodle soup, and so much more! This place is absolutely fantastic! A true gem in Austin!

I basically go there for the muscle mania smoothie. It’s sooo good I could drink 4 of them one after the other. The cold pressed juices are pretty good too! The pharmacists know what they do and they recommended a good natural medication for my IBS and made suggestions about my diet I hadn’t thought of.

I love this place so much. They have great bullet proof coffee, grass fed meats and butters, and all the supplements I need. I use some unusual supplements that are pretty hard to find but they have them all. That impresses me.

Ive had the best experiences here. The folks who work here are super knowledgeable. This past weekend I went in a spoke to one of the pharmacists(or tech?) and she was so so kind and compassionate. She even went out of her way to get me a list of doctors who practice holistic medicine. I am such a fan of this place :)

This small, often crowded Peoples does a great job. I have to get supplements transferred from another store, and they often come in the same day I request them. They make a great ham sandwich. Helpful wellness people. Chocolate. And I can buy my Wildwood bread here when I’m unable to get to the store. Oooohhh – and they carry Better Bites goodies. And vitamins.

7:39 on a Monday. The place is dead. 4 people walk past me behind the pharmacy counter but none can be bothered to ask if I need help. Finally I will one guy to look at me and I give him the Jeannie face. He knows I mean business. He asks«what do you need». I tell him my name and that I need to pick up a prescription. He relays this to an angry looking girl who brings my prescription to the counter and slams it down. I wonder if she is mute but soon she rings it up and sputters«sign here» and«that’s fifty dollars». I pay and say thank you. She has suddenly become mute again. I stalk out mad. Sadly, this isn’t the first or the last time this will happen. I need this compounded prescription. Otherwise I would tell these snotty little twits to kiss my grits.

I’ve been coming to this place for years. Yes, as some people have stated in their reviews, products on the shelf are more expensive that say Central Market. That’s because they are a much smaller company, without the bulk buying power of H.E.B. behind them. The wellness stall, the pharmacists, the deli(and staff), smoothies, soups, coffee, I could keep going on about all the great things this place has instead of focusing on the extra dollar I might have to pay for the convenience of saving a trip to Whole Foods.

I know this a cool, trendy, very Austin kind of place, but I don’t like it. I only come here for the compounded medication that I can’t get elsewhere in Austin. Everything else seems overpriced, the staff are snooty and condescending and they don’t know half as much about wellness and wellness products as they would like you to think they do. The store is so crowded and congested, that you can barely get around. Maybe they should think about expanding their space. If it wasn’t for the compounded medication, I would never come to this place.

First time there. Sad-looking building, surly help at the counter. Our sandwiches were fresh, but SUPER depressing. Like, a serious downer. And, needless to say, definitely NOT worth $ 7 – 8.00 each. Will not be returning.

Although i’m sure the staff is knowledgeable, I haven’t seen it. The place is always way too busy, and i can barely squeeze in this tiny place. Seriously, 2lines are 6 people deep, spewing into the aisles which then cannot be shopped cuz some patchouli chick is standing there, basking in her vegan farts. If your business is so darn hot, and you have been in the location for 30 years, why not expand into the next storefront to better serve your customers? do something! Quick! before Sunflower Shoppe starts a franchise here… Oh, looking for PRID homeopathic Drawing Salve? They dont have it, try Walgreen’s. shocker. I want to support home-grown local peeps, but they dont cut it. If you notice 4 people walk out of the store without buying something, that’s generally a customer service issue– particularly for a specialty store. I’m not walking in there just to browse. 90% of the products are found better elsewhere. sorry, but i call it how it is.

Stumbled upon this wonderful pharmacy/wellness/sandwich shop. I couldn’t be happier. Everyone was super nice and helpful. The pharmacist actually consults with each customer about prescriptions, offers advice, and answers questions as a standard practice. I felt the prices were totally reasonable and the variety of homeopathic remedies were amazing. Not to mention the knowledge on every item and topic the staff had to share. I didn’t get a chance to grab anything to eat, but everything looked great. I will be back. This is my new go-to for pharmacy and health needs. P. S. There is an entire cooler full of live probiotics to accommodate any need or price point. Love it there!!!

This place rocks. They have good preventative probiotic selection and a knowledgable staff. Also a great deli with salads and smoothies. I have not been sick with the cold or flu for years due in part by their preventative care programs

Lots of cool healthy options here for foods and supplements and a nice local feel. Their flourless chocolate cake — A-MAZING!!! Seriously, I was blown away by how something can be so delicious with only 5 – 6 ingredients. I’ve heard the chocolate crème pie is outstanding, too. We tried 3 other cupcake type things there(strawberry, Italian cream or something, and the Hostess Ho Ho knockoff) and they were really bad, like lead bricks. I called and they cheerfully refunded my money and said that unfortunately, gluten-free flour is a little more temperamental than regular flour so that can occasionally happen. We do like to buy grass fed meats from them but I think the one in Cedar Park has cheaper prices for the same products.
