My wife and I came in right before the blizzard of 2016. We didn’t stay long because the snow was really coming down hard. We had a couple of beers(great beer selection by the way) and a pepperoni pizza on wheat crust(per the bartender’s suggestion). I usually prefer regular crust over wheat or gluten free crust but it was delicious. I can’t wait to come back and try appetizers and other various pizzas. This place is delicious and the service was very friendly. Give it a shot!

I love this place. Half price bottles of wine on Sundays, good bar staff, and consistently good food. I lived in Charlotte for seven years and spent many a Sunday at Brixx. Have lived in Clarendon for the past nine years and this is a welcomed addition. Great spot and not full of the bruhs/Clarendon skank crowd. Awesome neighborhood spot even though I am a bit nostalgic for this place.

They were still in «soft opening» when we came in, but everyone was friendly and attentive and the food was great. They have tons of different drink specials and pizzas are buy one get one free later in the evenings, great deals for this area. We just sat at the bar, but I was surprised how many people stopped by to say hello and make sure we were taken care of. Great first visit!

Popped in yesterday afternoon. It was our first trip but we have heard good things. Visually, it’s modem and roomy with plenty of seating, a nice bar with some quality draft brews, and several large tvs. The pizzas are one size, a 10 inch personal that is pretty big actually. We got three, a basic cheese, the rustico and and gluten free. All three were big winners. One of the best tasting pizzas I have had. Brix for the win! Super nice staff too.

We live in the neighborhood and were so excited to try the place out… we’ve been saying for a while Clarendon needs a great sit-down pizza joint! Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our food. We ordered the classic margarita pizza and the Brixx salad with the buffalo chicken added on. The pizza was undercooked. We were expecting brick oven pizza to have a nice char on the crust and this was not the case. If anything, the dough tasted stale and chewy. The cheese wasn’t melted well either and there weren’t enough tomatoes on the pizza. Luckily the salad was much better… but not good enough to warrant coming back for a salad alone. Our server was nice and was attentive to us without being annoying. We heard the pasta dishes weren’t great at Brixx and after eating sub-par pizza, we doubt we’ll be back anytime soon. Too bad, there was so much potential for this restaurant!

Came in for the first time because my friend heard it was new. I’ll definitely be back. I got the Caribbean jerk chicken pizza — delicious. I wanted to order a second one and bring it home. Also had the spinach artichoke dip, which was also really good. It looks like a really good place to come for happy hour or to just chill and have some good food before going out clubbing. Service was great too. I’ll definitely be back.

We live in the neighborhood and had been wanting to try it out. We were sat immediately on a Friday night, which was a plus. Our server Joe was new and not familiar with their beer selection, but was quick to confirm answers to the questions we asked. He suggested the BBQ chicken pizza, which I ordered, and my SO ordered the meatball pizza. Our pizzas came out quickly and looked great. The cooks put too much sauce on mine and I had to scrape off sauce before eating each slice. The meatball pizza had way too many veggies and not enough meat to call itself a meatball pizza. The crust was delicious. They really have their recipe down to a science. Regardless, we both enjoyed our choices. The only thing that bothered me was about a beer promo that Brixx is running on Facebook — $ 3.50 Sierra Nevada drafts all day every day during the month of December. When we got our check, it turned out they were $ 4 each. It’s not the extra 50 cents that bothered me, but rather the false promotion. They recently opened so I’m sure they still have a few kinks to work out, but keep your word when it comes to promotions!

I had a great experience with my dinner at Brixx. My family has always gone to the Brixx Pizzas in Charlotte so I was happy to see one was coming close by in Arlington. Same wonderful food, service, and beer selection!

It’s in a great location next to the Clarendon metro. The renovations to the building are modern and the interior is spacious. Unfortunately, our group of 4 was extremely disappointed with the food and service we experienced on October 24. We were greeted warmly by the staff and we asked to be seated in a booth. About 75% of the tables were full when we arrived. Our server introduced himself and explained the menu and which items were complimentary for the special pre-opening training night. My friend’s cocktail was watered down and missing bitters. He asked for it to be remade and they were happy to do so. A manager came over and asked how the new drink was. There was no difference and he asked for a beer instead. We asked the server for any food recommendations. He didn’t seem to know the menu and couldn’t even make a suggestion on what sounded good. We ordered: — Wild mushroom pizza: sparse toppings, crust was hard and difficult to chew, needed sauce or something to tie all ingredients together — Americo pizza: tomato sauce was bland so we asked for extra marinara sauce(they forgot to bring the extra sauce until we asked for it again toward the end of our meal) — Bronx Bomber pizza: low-quality ingredients, didn’t seem fresh, lacked flavor — Shrimp carbonara: bland, shrimp seemed frozen, — Korean-style meatballs: lacked spices, didn’t like the pineapples, not sure how this was«Korean style» — Tiramisu: did not like this at all. The cream was the worst part. Overall, the food was extremely bland and the servers seemed young/inexperienced. It could be a great place for happy hour beer/wine, but the food was very underwhelming.

Lots of great happy hour specials and late night specials. The pizzas are wildly creative and the service is spot on. We will be back

I’m excited they’ve opened a new Brixx in Clarendon. My daughter and I always go there when I visit her in Charlottesville. My wife and I went with our neighbors on the opening night in Clarendon and the pizza and beer were superb as always. I had the shrimp pizza – first time I had tried that one – and the tomatoes, peppers and shrimp were spicy and fresh. They have a great selection of beers and the servers were friendly and attentive. It’s a great addition to the neighborhood.

We had our end-of-the-season soccer party at Brixx and couldn’t have been happier with the food and the service! They were ready for us and had two servers assigned to our party of 30 who were both personable and professional(thanks Rosario & Carissa!). Our kids had a great time eating pizza and coloring on the chalkboards. The complimentary dessert ’smores pizza was definitely a hit! The manager, Dan, was also very attentive and checked in on us regularly. A wonderful atmosphere and has nice outdoor seating– we look forward to returning frequently. ***A side note: We had kids with food allergies and they were more than accommodating. There is a comprehensive list of the common food allergies available, which was helpful.

Very delicious. Split 2 pizzas into meatball, buffalo chicken, chicken florentine and pimento cheese. All very good! Excellent craft beer selection too Would go again

Our first visit to Brixx. Beer was super cold, salad was great(and cold) and the pizza was good. Clarissa was our server. Very friendly and attentive. Good food and great atmosphere at really reasonable prices. We’ll be back.

This is the best pizza in Clarendon. Unlike other places in the neighborhood, they have an awesome crust that’s not charred beyond belief. Everything tastes fresh, and has amazing flavor. Everything about this place is great; service, music, cleanliness, food and beer selection. For purists there’s a plain cheese, 5 cheese and Margherita. Or go with a Thai pizza that looked good, or a rosemary chicken one. I don’t know where they get their sausage for the Bronx bomber pizza, but it was delicious. Even though it doesn’t say it on the menu, you can build your own. Plus you can pick sauce and crust(whole wheat, plain or gluten free). We’ve been there twice since opening just a few weeks ago, and can’t wait to go back!

Let me just say, this place made a horrible first impression on me and I don’t ever plan on going back. I walked in at 1pm looking to order take out for me and my wife. i was greeted kindly, given a take out menu and was directed to the bar to place my order. While I was getting ready to place my order, 2 employees chose to verbally insult and attack me for my choice of apparel(I was wearing a redskins beanie). «We don’t serve redskins fans.» the first woman said. «Well, I’m sure you’re going to lost a lot of business saying that to people in Arlington,» I responded. Ok, fine… no problem… i can handle a little insult. Albeit, as unprofessional as it is to make such a comment in the first place, i can take a joke. Then, another server decided to join in on the joke. Then, the customer at the bar decided to chime in and go on. All while I’m just trying to order take out. What started as a joke became a straight 10 minute verbal attack on a new customer for an article of clothing. The woman taking my take out order apologized profusely, they gave me coupons for free food(which wasnt even that good in the first place) and i left with a smile. I don’t ever plan on going back there. The staff made a terrible impression on me. Extremely unprofessional for someone who works in the hospitality industry to just verbally attack a customer who was doing nothing but ordering food and supporting Arlington businesses.

I live super close to Brixx and was excited to try it out the first week it opened. I was disappointed with their chicken caesar salad… mainly because they forgot the chicken on it. I had to ask for it and it finally came out once all my friends were done eating. I went back and tried another salad and pizza. Pizza was soggy and the salad was extremely sparse. Barely any ingredients or dressing on it. I’m not even picky! It was just that bad! My friends all agreed it wasn’t good. I avoided writing a review, because I thought«well, they are new and working the kinks out». Today though, I HADTOWRITE A REVIEW, because I went to pick up a to-go order and THEYFORGOTTOPUTITIN. They told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. I waited 30 and then walked there. When I got there no one acknowledged me. Finally after I ASKED the bartender AGAIN if I could pick up my to-go order, he seemed confused and didn’t really acknowledge me and poked at the computer. I knew my order wasn’t in. He then went and asked the staff if someone took the order and what it was. I saw him go back to enter it in. He didn’t even say that it wasn’t in and would’ve had me wait another 20 mins. I said,“my order was never put in, was it?” He admitted,“No, sorry but we can have it out in 5.” I knew it wouldn’t be out in 5 and told him that bc the lady told me it takes at least 20. He didn’t say anything, because he knew it wouldn’t be out in 5. I left. Never going to go to Brixx again. When all my neighbors in the building ask if I’ve been, because everyone always asks since it’s new– I’ll be sure to tell them I have, and to go somewhere else!

Nice place! Good pizza, had the wood roasted tomato, would definitely recommend to others! Very attentive service, but almost too much so.

We are neighbors to this restaurant and really wanted to like it. The service was lousy but more importantly the people that seemed to be managing the place didn’t care. They only had 3 tables while we were there at 6pm and no one noticed it took 10 minutes to get a drink? The pizza was poorly cooked and had sparse toppings. The pita with our appetizer was also undercooked. My beer was warm and lettuce in my salad was wilted. We couldn’t wait to pay our check and leave. So many great places are close by, we won’t give them another try.

So glad they opened nearby! I have visited other locations(Woodbridge, Charlottesville). Among my favorites: wild mushroom pizza, chicken club sandwich made fancy with arugula and homemade bread, jerk chicken pizza. Fresh ingredients and homemade deliciousness at super modest prices — like $ 10 – 15 entrees — and apps are huge portions. Also — Sculpin IPA on draft(I almost refrained from telling you so I could keep it all to myself). Nice circular booths make it easy to hear each other.
