Dr was very patient and gentle… I barely felt a thing at my wisdom tooth extraction. I had to ask if he was done! I’m such a baby when it comes to the dentist but they were welcoming and kind. The office is new and clean and it was extremely quick. I waited a couple weeks to review because all went so well it seemed too good to be true! I’m all healed now with no problems. Yeah I survived my first pulled tooth! Thank you

Dr. Pestana removed four of my wisdom teeth along with two extra teeth found under tissue beneath my teeth in my lower jaw. He was very patient when explaining the procedure and emphasized his patients are free to make the decisions on what surgery they want to get done. I was terrified of surgery so I thought, «Even though I have the option of spacing out the surgeries, I am definitely only doing this all at once». Dr. Pestana gave me the prescription for medicine to take before and after the surgery, which greatly eased my anxiety.
With regards to insurance and price, Kat the dental assistant/​receptionist was able to ease my worries and also answer all the admin questions that kept popping up from me. I called frequently with questions and never felt like a burden.
There was no pain after my surgery (i just missed eating solid foods) and Dr. Pestana personally called me in the evening the same day after the surgery to check on my recovery! So nice of him. During my follow-​up appointment to see how the sutures were closing up, Dr. Pestana was personable and did not rush. He took his time examining how the recovery process was going and urged me to call him if I began to feel any pain. Being able to easily get in contact with the doctor via phone and his friendly and skilled staff were also big pluses.

I had an emergency dental situation come up and I was terrified, as I have always been extremely scared of the dentist. I was referred to Dr. Pestana from a dentist in Napa and I couldn’t have had an easier experience. Dr. Pestana and his staff were incredibly kind to me and didn’t make me feel foolish for being so afraid at my age. I really didn’t want to have the procedure done, but Dr. Pestana was very honest about the complications I could experience if I did not have it done without being at all pushy.
The entire thing went incredibly smoothly and I was made to feel as comfortable and safe as possible and I cannot begin to explain how reassuring that was. Dr. Pestana and his surgical assistant took me through the steps of the procedure as they were doing them and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The whole procedure only took 15 minutes at most– in fact, it was probably less.
I could not have been more satisfied with my experience at Dr. Pestana’s office and if this were to ever happen again, or something else that required an oral surgeon, he would be my first call.
