Somerset Hair Studio

A friend of mine recommended Nick to me, since I was looking for someone new to cut my hair.
I love having freshly cut hair but I hate paying salon prices. Don’t get me wrong, I love the salon experience, I just can’t justify salon prices to maintain that «freshly cut» look to my hair.
Somerset Hair Studio is near the corner of Bank and Somerset, on the north side of the street. The space is a bit dated, not fancy, but clean and pleasant.
When I arrived the woman at the counter greeted me enthusiastically, offering me tea or water and inviting me to take a seat until Nick was ready for me. After a brief few-​minute wait, I took my seat in the chair.
After showing Nick a photo of what I’d like to have done, he confirmed that I wanted lots of layers, and then went to town. I have never had anyone approach cutting my hair with as much confidence. Like I said before, it wasn’t fancy, he didn’t wash my hair before cutting it or style my hair before I left.
Given that the cut was $ 20, that it only tok 20 minutes and that it was exactly what I had asked for, this was probably the best hair cut I’ve ever had. I’m looking forward to going back in 6 weeks for a trim.
