Flock Boutique

My review will definitely echo much of what Caitlin W has to say, as I simply ADORE this boutique, but the prices make me flinch.
Located in the heart of Westboro, this boutique is airy, filled with sunshine, classy and cute all at once. It’s basically the kind of woman I aspire to be… in a shop.
The store carries over a hundred Canadian designers and ranges from adorable accessories like jewelry and clutches to print designs (there was an awesome Westboro one, and another of a bicycle that I’m currently coveting). They have an amazing selection of perfect dresses (which, as Caitlin W mentioned, start at about $ 150), and a little back room with amazing children’s outfits and toys.
One of my favourite things about Flock is their commitment to sustainable designers and locally-​made products. They carry a bunch of Purple Urchin products which I adore, and this really hilarious line of Canadian political postcards and other funny things.
The décor here is also wonderful, and just goes to show how much care the owners put into the store. My favourite display as of late is the hanging tier of birdcages in pastels — so pretty!
This store provides me with so much inspiration and I can’t wait to come back soon! I’m going to save my pennies and buy a super special dress :)

For a reason unknown to me I have walked past Flock a number of times and never went in.
My mum and I were in Hintonburg doing a bit of last minute Christmas shopping and decided to poke our heads in.
I’m really glad we did. It was clear from the start that they are similar to Workshop, they have a number of amazing local designers and pieces from here and Montréal. Lots of unique, high quality gorgeous clothing.
They also carry a number of local jewellers which is awesome too!

I love Flock. The store and staff get over and beyond five stars, but the prices have to knock it down to four stars, simply because it can be inaccessible to modest budgets.
Since Flock (and its sister store Workshop) stock one-​of-​a-​kind clothes and accessories from local Canadian designers, I completely understand the prices, but it still hurts. Dresses tend to start around $ 150 and can go up much higher.
I would go buy things in Flock every day if I could, but I cannot. So, instead, I tend to pick out an item and then «visit» it for a month or so until I’ve justified loving it enough to buy it.
They stock clothes from Montréal designer Jennifer Glassgow, who is fabulous, and I highly recommend looking her up.
The staff is WONDERFUL. Very helpful and honest. If something doesn’t look great on you or would need some tailoring, they’re sure to let you know. They also remember clients — they even remembered two things I had bought and told me there was something else similar in stock.
Flock also has a great social media feed on Twitter and Facebook where they advertise some sales and specials, but even more fun, they show the staff wearing some of the new clothing stock so you can get an idea what things look like. It seems like a really fun little community at the store.
Plus, Flock has knitting and other craft classes, though I think they were cancelled recently because the teacher has a new baby, but be sure to ask about them!

Such a great place! Tons of unique and pretty/​cool jewelry and the clothes and accessories to match! Perfect place to go if you’re looking for a one-​of-​a-​kind gift for an awesome galpal.
I have only been to their shop, and for their yearly destash event, which was awesome (and so cheap!). Yarn, fabrics, beads and other crafting supplies abound, (on the first day anyway, I imagine the stuff goes quick!)
Will definitely go back.

LOVE this addition to Wellington village. The clothes are beautifully Canadian made with labels from designers from Ottawa, Montréal, Vancouver and there’s something for all shapes and sizes. If you want something that’s not mass produced, is meticulously made and that will garner lots of comments this is the place — Gorgeous, bright patterns and fabrics, and styles. It’s a lovely bright store and great staff. All kinds of accessories, purses, hats, jewellery all chosen by someone with a really keen eye for originality and craftsmanship! This should definitely be on a gal’s destination list for a Saturday shop!

I will definitely be going back to this trendy boutique soon. I have been looking for a wedding dress (something trendy and artistic and untraditional!) and I found several options here.
The great thing about Flock Boutique is that the clothes are made by Canadian designers, the majority of which are women! They try to bring in lots of fashions from Ottawa and Montréal also, to be local.
The accessories here are amazing! They have lots of colourful pins and earrings and some great bags! I really had to control myself, or I would have had an empty wallet when I came out. I did see several dress options, but was tight on time, so I couldn’t try anything on.
One of the girls working in the store patiently showed me several dresses and answered all my questions about the designers and the store. The people who work here clearly know what they are talking about. It is also great that so many of the designs are by Canadian women!
For someone who wants to dress artistically, this is the perfect spot to shop.
