Tahdig was not very impressive. But the salad was very fresh with a nice dressing and the Kabob was very juicy and surprisingly good.

Went here with a friend and we were both very happy with the friendly service and the two koobidehs we ordered! Food was of great quality and reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again :)

We were very disappointed in trying this place. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. The chicken had an after taste, the steak was ok– it needed seasoning & lots of it! The Koobideh had an unusual taste– i couldn’t finish that. The rice was perfect and the service was very very friendly. The lady was very polite and friendly and was very sweet but unfortunately– the food was awful.

There is not too much difference in the quality of food during last few months that I have been their customer. Good quality of food, good behaviour of employees, and stable quality of foods. Make me to be their weekly guest.

Prepare yourselves people, you’ve found the best Iranian food that Vancouver has to offer. I’ve lived on the North Shore for 25 years and in that time, a ton of Iranian places have popped up and tried to give you a real Iranian experience. Sadly though, most fail pretty much due to everyone trying to turn it into fast food. Mehman, HANDSDOWN, has the best Iranian food in Vancouver. Not even a question. They offer the Michael Jordan of kabob’s here(the Barg, which would make Gordan Ramsay convert to Islam). It’s a fantastic mix of lean and fatty beef which just melts in your mouth. Once my Dad came here to eat for the first time, he took a moment to savour that first bite. He told me it was a complete throwback to his time in Iran.(Hint: it’s the onions people, add more onions to your mixture!) Owned by wonderfully nice individuals, come down here and try it out. My family exclusively eats here now, so it’s become a staple. Don’t be a fool and spend your money at one of the other fast food like Iranian places now littering Vancouver. It’s completely worth the trip. Anyone that says otherwise is probably jealous or high.

Delightful little restaurant with very personal and attentive service. Menu is Persian and a bit of Afghani dishes. 3 of us shared two appetizers: Dolmades, which were melt in your mouth good, and Kashk-bodemjan, a mashed eggplant with fried onions served with pita — just heavenly taste. Main dishes are served with a very large portion of basmati rice, sometimes fried with carrots and raisins, like in the Qabuli Palaw or steamed with the kebabs. The lamb shank in the Qabuli Palaw was soft and so flavourful. Served with a sauce and also spinach, it was delicious. The veggie kebab had very thin slices of grilled veggies with the steamed basmati rice on the side. Another time I Had the Fesenjan stew, chicken stew made with pomegranate walnuts, and served with rice. Reasonable prices and large quantities. Open for lunch or dinner. The décor would make this pleasant for a date night, too. Tea is cardamom infused and served with China pot and cups. I felt pampered.
