It’s okay… I’m not head over heels going to recommend this place, but it’s probably your best bet for Chinese food in the lower Lonsdale area. I usually get the lunch special, as I work in the area, and I find it to be decent value. One thing that always annoys me is that they like to do everything cash even though they are set up for credit. They always give me a hard time when I’m not paying cash(got it, you’re trying to avoid taxes and interchange fees, so is everyone else) and then sometimes they charge me extra for using Visa, sometimes they don’t.

My wife and I have been coming here for years and find the food to be excellent. Consistent quality and friendly.

Had I read the Unilocal reviews first, I would have missed out on this great lunch spot. For $ 8 I had a simple but flavorful wonton soup and a very large portion of Szechuan chicken. The chicken was well cooked with a good balance of veggies and meat, and the spice was just enough to make me sweat without overpowering the flavor. The servers were friendly and efficient. I would definitely eat here again.

I can only comment on the lunch combos. The Fried rice/sweet sour pork combo with added hotnsour will leave you stuffed. The taste is good for generic Chinese and the regular staff are always friendly. The new digs are fine but sometimes parking is tricky. We return to «CC» on a semi regular basis and always leave stuffed and sleepy.

I’ve just moved to the area and ordered take-out on 3 occasions. I tried different dishes each time but was left disappointed every time. The food is bland and uninteresting. I ate it more to fill my stomach than from any enjoyment of the food.

They moved into a new place and I had the chance to check it out when I was in town last. It is very cramped and the plates though nice looking are too large for the table. The food is about the same though I had the lunch special not the dinner menu. The waitress is the same lady and once she squeezes over to your table she’s quick to serve you.

The new location is really nice(on 2nd Street now) — pretty relaxing décor, no obnoxiously loud TV/music. The service was great, very pleasant and friendly people working there — we were greeted immediately, and encouraged to sit at a larger table that seats four(there were only the two of us) so that we had more space. I ordered the chicken. ginger and onion hot pot. It was quite good, savoury, not too salty, the onions were perfect. My husband ordered the prawns and cashews dish and said it was good, though a trifle plain. The prices are extremely reasonable. We had the food noted above, I had one beer(Tsingtao) and my husband had a ginger ale, and we got out of there for less than $ 40 taxes in. I will definitely go back and bring friends.

Awesome. Our new favourite Chinese food restaurant. Mom & pop running it. Apparently the General Tso chicken takes 3 hours to make the sauce. Highly recommend.

I really like this place a lot more then my rating would have you believe. The food is great but there is nothing that will make you say OMGMUSTGOBACK. My favorites here are the dan dan noodles(reminder to self ask them not to put those little dried shrimp in it next time), ginger beef and orange peel chicken-the sauteed with veggies type not the chinese meets kfc style you find in a lot of north american chinese restaurants. It’s best to go at lunch because of value and variety. They have a HUGE lunch menu. Every lunch special comes with a wonton or hot and sour soup. They only take cash and visa.

Atmosphere: It wasn’t exactly hole in the wall, however, it was nothing fancy either, like fast food sit down kind of. Food: I ordered the egg plant veggie dish with rice with some sort of brown sauce that was so heavy on the MSG that I felt sick within the first bit. I only ate the rice and dipped my fork in for flavour. Wanton soup tasted gross. This was my first time eating this type of food and I felt really really nauseous after. Price: Cheap lunch at $ 6.95 which includes wanton soup, however, since I didn’t eat the veggies, I essentially paid $ 7 for rice. Service: Very fast and efficient. A+

Revised review follows: I am not entirely sure what has happened here but I have crossed this restaurant off my list. After multiple excellent visits the quality has gone down to such a level that I have moved on. A friend and I gave them multiple chances but were extremely disappointed with every visit. This is a real shame as we both were very happy. Lemon Chicken was so thin you can hardly see the chicken not to mention I think it was old and very, very chewy. – Since moving to North Vancouver I had been searching for a quality Chinese food restaurant. Coral Court was recommended to me by a friend and it has been my favorite ever since. The location is small, the service is great and the quality of the food is excellent. They do not, however, do deliveries but it is worth the time to go there in person to eat in or take it out. They have a wide selection for dishes for those who enjoy szechuan and those who do not.
