Food quality is excellent. Food items are fresh and quite tasteful. Huge selection of food from sushi to sweet and sour pork. I rarely see trays left empty as they are pretty fast at refilling them. staff is quite friendly. Recommend the lunch box special, cheaper than most places at lonsdale quay.

The best Chinese food in Vancouver. Just returned from China and the food in Foshan and Guangszhou is spectacular but to taste it you only need to go to this restaurant. Lemon fish and Lemon chicken here is outstanding along with the sweet n sour soup. Try the buffet — reasonably priced.

I get delivery from this place all the time, it’s by far the best Chinese place I’ve tried in Lower Lonsdale that does delivery. During this time they had a promotion that was if you spent $ 35 before taxes, you would get a voucher for free buffet for lunch or brunch. I racked up maybe 7 of these coupons before going for buffet with my girlfriend one lazy morning. We were waiting to pay for our bill with our coupons when the manager came over(at least he originally introduced himself as a manager) and told us that even though our coupons didn’t have any restrictions written on them, that only one could be used for table and that ‘his manager’ JUST let him know of this revelation. Seeing that I’ve spent $ 200 on Chinese food over the past 2 months with them and they won’t even honor a coupon, I’m giving them 2 stars. I will find another Chinese restaurant because of this service.

The venue is excellent, with a bar area, restaurant area and outdoor seating area… all enjoying a beautiful view of the Vancouver City waterfront. We visited for the first time on a Saturday night. Weather was very warm in North Vancouver, so a restaurant with outdoor seating should have been packed. There were perhaps four tables occupied when we arrived at 7:00pm. Restaurant staff courteously saw us to our outdoor table. When one server brought water-filled glasses to our table, we jokingly asked him to, «keep ‘em coming»… and he did exactly that, topping our glasses every time he passed by. We each chose to enjoy the buffet. costing a rather steep $ 21.95 per person. Unfortunately, the buffet food does not live up to such a high price. The selection was huge… but just too much food in too-large containers had been prepared too far in advance. None of the deep fried options had maintained their crispness, and anything with rice was just plain tired. All items we tried had probably been delicious when fresh cooked. Staff swiftly picked up our plates. Once we were done, we waited quite a while for our bill. We finally decided to go into the restaurant to find our bill. When we walked into the main part of the restaurant, two of the staff waved at us and said, «goodbye, thank you for coming, come again!» We told them we would like to pay for our dinner. One of the staff apologised and led us to the cash register. The staff are courteous, the venue is beautiful but the buffet is way overpriced. It was actually very similar to what one would eat in a shopping mall food fair for a MUCH lower financial investment. The Bite at the Quay restaurant may be a «diamond in the rough.» We plan to return and order from the menu a dinner«cooked to order» which will give the Bite chefs a fair try.
