Sportivo Pizzeria & Cafe

Been to this establishment more then a handful of times and the food and service AAA+++. I usually order different pasta and it’s all so full flavouring and they do some amazing pizzas. Perfect for any occasion with a nice view of the Riverview and out door seating couldn’t ask for more good Italian/​café food

The staff are wonderful and the food is great! We always love to duck in for a quick, quality dinner, and bring our friends along when we can. I definitely would have to recommend their dessert pizza, which is a must if you go here!

Went here tonight for my pre 21^st and was not disappointed.
I ordered the bruschetta lago which was prettty good, generously topped with capsicum, spinach and pumpkin (minus the feta of course) Also ordered the Gnocchi Rossa and asked for Napoli sauce. It came out just tossed in the sauce though I thought they would do the sundried tomatoes and basil as well but asked and was happily catered for.
Service was excellent and our main server was very attentive and helpful. Would go back.
They also happily accept the Entertainment Book vouchers :)

Excellent service and food. Pizza and pasta were both extremely tasty and the lady serving us was super friendly. The only thing is that it’s quite noisy but didn’t bother us as everything else was great. Very casual and relaxed. First time there and we will return.

Another tasty surprise tucked away on the banks of the west lake. The friendly doting staff a full of recommendations that all centre around one thing: Pizza.
The bases, Thin and crispy, not so thin that it doesn’t hold up or too crispy that it its like shards of glass in the mouth, its just right. The toppings, generous, but not so generous that you feel like you’re eating the fridge. the mix of cheeses is just enough to hold it all together and string out as you lift it to your mouth.
The staff are rather chatty and friendly, but they are ready to move you on to coffee and dessert as the last piece goes into your mouth (they want your money, not the seat), and makes the experience that little less fun.

The location is fantastic, the atmosphere and the décor is great, the menu is quite extensive, and the service and food quality is good. However, and this may be just my personal taste, but considering that their specialty is wood-​oven pizzas, I find the pizzas just average. Now, there is nothing wrong with the selection or the toppings, but the pizza bases (and this includes the bruschetta and the garlic bread) are just not up to the standard you would expect from a wood oven, more like a frozen pizza from a supermarket. Maybe it is the yeast, or lack of it, but there is definitely something missing in the base.
No complaints about the pasta or the other dishes though. My daughter had the steak on the kids menu and loved it. The seafood salad, risotto and the grilled calamari are all superb. So are the coffee, cakes and gelati.
Overall I would recommend it, and hope that the pizza recipe improves soon.

We can talk about that later. For now let me tell you about Sportivo. Sportivo is located in a beautiful area in West Lakes which allows you to enjoy your meal with a view overlooking the lake. Pretty fancy, don’t you think? You can come in for a quick coffee with your friends, or a slice of cake, or enjoy a satisfying meal with a side order of beer to top it off!
Let’s get back to the Pizza and Tiramisu. My two favourite foods, and when they’re combined together they’re even better! The wood oven pizzas are beautiful, thin and crispy, and the toppings are delicious! Nothing beats a night out then eating Pizza and enjoying a heavenly slice of Tiramisu.
Sportivo is a great café to dine in with your friends, family or partner without breaking a sweat when you receive the final bill!
