Great Taiwanese food here! Didn’t look really appealing from the outside, but the inside of the store is nice and the food is pretty authentic. The first time I came here, I ordered a take away for the Taiwanese Meat Sauce Noodle. It was heavenly– reminded me so much of home :) I loved the noodles(knife cut noodles!) and the sauce was just right. Portions were great too. I got to eat one bowl of noodles for 2 meals. My first experience with Sunflower was so good that I decided to go back again for a sit down experience. I ordered the classic Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, and I finished every last bit of the huge bowl of noodles. Coming from a girl who rarely has enough stomach to finish a huge bowl of noodles, that was pretty epic. Noodles were great, there was MORE than enough beef(super tender too!), and the soup was on point. Tried the bubble tea too– that was pretty standard. I liked how it wasn’t overly sweetened(makes me feel like I’m «healthier»). However after an hour or so after the satisfying meal, I started to get extremely thirsty. So I suspect there were some MSG in the beef noodle soup. I guess as long as you don’t go too often and get MSG overdose, it should be fine ^^

I’d actually give this place 3.5 stars, but I’m feeling generous so I’ll round up. Walked by and saw this place, and being Taiwanese it piqued my interest. This place is VERY Asian… as in I think only one or two people who work there speak English, cause when I walked in they all started speaking Mandarin to me, and since my Mandarin is equivalent to a 4 year old’s, I just said 2 people and then started speaking English and was promptly directed to another guy who could speak English. So be aware of that. Positives: –You can get a decent feed for $ 10, the rice dishes are plentiful and come with salad, meat, and noodles and pork mince. –Portions are big –Big variety of food The food itself is average, nothing out of this world but nothing was done poorly. I’d go with the recommended dishes in the menu as they were alright… minus the cashew chicken, that was meh. The fried chicken was good though. What threw me off was them using ranch for salad dressing, didn’t think that was Taiwanese? Haha… I’d come here again if I was fixing for some Taiwanese food on the cheap.
