It’s more of a 2.2 star, but since I’m the first one to review I feel a bit guilty for setting the bar so low!
Had a pork miso ramen for lunch. This place is ALWAYS packed for lunch (good sign?), but I was able to get a seat during my lunch break. The ramen was mediocre at best? The broth was yummy and gets 4 stars, but the noodles were bland and I’m pretty sure it’s not freshly made? Reminds me of the instant, Chinese wonton noodle kind … which are fine, but not when you’re expecting ramen noodles. The pork was chewy and over cooked and the boiled egg was marinaded in soy sauce (again, very typical in Chinese food).
Also pretty sure that the people working there were Chinese, although sources on the internet say this is Japanese owned? Maybe they were having an off day and other items are better.
What’s worse was that they have fully operating EFTPOS machines and when I asked if I could use my card, they say not this time … maybe next. What the heck is that supposed to mean?! If you have a card minimum, just say so like every other business in freaking Australia!
Definitely will not return again.
