This restaurant caters for everyone’s needs. There are different sections in the bar and a couple of different sections in the bar as well. The bar staff have awesome cocktail knowledge and is a perfect way to start the evening before heading downstairs to the restaurant. The pizzas are delicious, as is the huge antipasti plate. The steak was to die for and finishing with the salted caramel dessert and the tiramisu was more than we could have ever imagined. On sunday’s they have dj’s and drink specials, and all the pizza’s are only $ 15, with sounds provided by a DJ so my partner and I always try to stop in for a lazy Sunday. Love the Corner House, it’s my local and will continue to go back :)

Never disappoints! Regularly one of the best places to dine in Bondi. Not just for Pizza. A great and unusual wine selection and a seasonally rotating menu on the blackboard. Highly recommend the Ben Buckler — prawns, inoffensive white anchovies and zesty preserved lemon or Gonzo — Tasty mushroom pizzas. Head upstairs to the bar on a Sunday Arvo for cocktails & dj as the sun sets.

We tried the crowded house pizza, which was a cool concept: the pizza is divided into 4 sections of toppings. Unfortunately, every single combination sucked. Because I basically tried 4 different pizzas, I would advise against them.

A flying unicorn wouldn’t get the attention of the unconcerned waitresses in this joint. There were two manning the small dining room when I visited with friends; despite our frantic waving, service was slow to arrive at the table and unfriendly when it finally did. The food and drink itself was good. We started off with a round of refreshing Aperol and prosecco spritzers, followed by a large plate of interesting house made antipasti. The selection of wood fired pizzas is extensive and varied, so we opted for two to share — the ‘gonzo’ with fontina and swiss brown, button and oyster mushrooms, and the ‘daniella’ with provolone, parmesan, asparagus, pancetta and truffle oil. Both offered generously layered, high quality toppings, but were incredibly over-salted. This may be downtown Bondi, renowned for service as cool as its patrons, but the disregard with which staff treated us was more than insulting. And all we wanted was another round of spritzers.

The Corner House is one of those great places with a host of different rooms and environments to cater for everyone. Whether you are after a drink, a nibble or a full sit-down meal, The Corner House has a spot for you. There’s the full dining room, which caters for sit-down dinners with a full menu. But there’s a great bar menu which you can order in any of the other areas and it offers a great mix of antipasto and pizzas. The servings are very generous — so don’t get too carried away with your order although the bar are obliging with doggy bags. My favourites are the front area which features a high bar with stools where you can relax and watch the action on Bondi Road and the upstairs bar area with its sofas, tiny tables and ottomans. There’s two balconies, one large with lots of tables and chairs and one small with a couple of chairs but these are usually rammed with smokers so are best avoided unless you want to smoke.
