Le Bal

I was here for the Internations 2015 New Year party, and it was a disaster. The Le Bal management acted like unprofessional amateurs, and despite a starting time of 9pm they were still setting the room up and preparing the bar until 9:45 pm while paying customers were standing around watching. The bar, however, was the biggest problem. There clearly did not prepare beforehand, and as a result there was a severe lack of choice of drinks, and the drinks they did have ran out very quickly. To add injury to insult, they allocated only 2 people on the bar for most of the night, rising to 3 at one point but by then it was too little too late. People were queueing for 30mins+ to get served for drinks which was simply outrageous, and the bar staff were clearly not experienced with dealing with this kind of pressure and service deteriorated even further. Finally, the management reacted to the angry people and opened the doors to Adagio so that they could go there to get served.
That this even happened is a slap in the face to the Internations organisers who tried to set up the event at Le Bal in good faith, and instead they were given an unprofessional service which you would not expect from an old and well-​established club. The management showed huge disrespect by not preparing the bar or meeting the demand of the clientele, and as a result the place fully deserves to go out of business. Shame on you Le Bal, shame on you.
