Millie’s Cookies

Lucky enough to be using two O2 phones at the moment, I instantly jumped at the chance to use the priority app to get a free Millie’s Cookies treat — well, two!
Located in the Arndale Center, it’s easy to find and perfectly located for a quick stop off. There’s an extension beneath the escalators which is for decorating their large cookies; those perfectly iced, personalised ones which you never actually want to share.
It was really simple to use the app, simply showing them the code, then selecting our flavour cookie. We got milk chocolate chip (classic) and a raspberry & white chocolate (I had a very sweet tooth that day.) After lunch out and a wander round the shops, we returned home with our cookies for a sugar boost. They were both tasty, with that squidgy middle Millie’s is so well known for.
A lovely free treat which reminded me to give Millie’s a go next time I’m shopping and need that boost of energy, no matter how fake that may be!

When millies cookies was first making freshly baked cookies for a fair price it was wonderful, however sadly as they become more popular they decided to put there prices up (a common thing now a days).
However what i do not agree with or think is fair, is the fact that Millies use FROZEN cookie dough that comes in little flash frozen squares (thats why you see the little square in the middle of your cookie) sadly its the same with there muffins as well.
For a place that is not shy about putting up there prices, surely giving there customers FRESH cookies is not too much to ask for is it?!

Millie’s Cookies, chomp chomp, yum yum! Like many firsts, we all remember our first Millie’s Cookies experience. If you haven’t had your first, then shame on you and where have you been for the past 25 years. Yes, that’s right folks Millie’s Cookies and life as we know her precious cookies are celebrating 25 years of cookietasticness. That is an absolutely pap word but say it out loud and it’s fun! Honest!
Millie’s in the Arndale is great! THE SMELL!!! OH EMM GEEE moment… died and gone to heaven… divine!
Flavours…yes many many flavours, coffee… well it’s alright, but that’s not why you come here, with coffee places littered all around Manchester, it’s not Millies for why you come, it’s the baked goods.
Recently, well a couple of years ago, I discovered their GIANT celebration cookies, which are awesome!!! Perfect for special occasions, I know Valentine’s day has passed, but SO COOL! to say sorry guys when you did something wrong to your girl that you prolly will have no clue but will not be forgiven, that is unless you get a mega cookie made up. Only trouble is they’re not instant, I did not think of this when ordering, so you need to give it a couple of hours, kill some time shopping and mooching and then come back and pick it up! but they will decorate it, ice it with any message, oh and the cookie can be anything you like.
As much as i love the Millie’s…why oh why did they have to get rid of their brownies… they were the BEST BROWNIES EVER!

The cookies here are okay — but just okay. No better than you would get in bags of six for £1 from Tesco or Asda which, considering the same amount here would cost you £3.99, is not great. And it’s not even like Millie’s is a little independent that needs our hard-​won support over megalith supermarkets, they’re all over shopping centres hawking alright-​quality cookies for extortionate prices. I don’t know quite why I feel quite so strongly about this but I do. The coffee is bad too, it looks muddy brown mop-​bucket water and doesn’t taste far off. I had better coffee in Germany, which is saying something because they seem congenitally incapable of making good coffee there. A few stores down there’s a Subway, they do three cookies for £1.20 — go there instead. Better yet, save the money you would have spent on cookies, go to The Works and pick up a book on baking and make yourself some cookies.

Sure, you’re going to find one of these Millie’s Cookies in most British shopping centres, sometimes with even more than one stall in one place. Honestly, they’re everywhere!
But the reason for that is that Millie’s Cookies are just great. Chewy, full of sugar an din loads of great flavours like chocolate chip or double chocolate chip or cranberry and white chocolate, yes!
I think the best thing about Millie’s Cookies is their value. You can get a bag of five cookies for no more than a couple of quid which is great value.

Hello everyone, my name’s Emma-​Lou. And I’m addicted to cookies.
Well, not quite. If I was as addicted to cookies as I could be, I’d be the size of a house and all my teeth would have fallen out. More than anything I’m a fan of the idea of cookies. I bake them, I enjoy them, they’re fantastic when they’re just out of the oven and still squidgy. I fell in love with them at college when our canteens offered Otis Spunkmeyer (a-​hahahaha-​hahahaha) cookies by the bag, always gooey if you caught them at a particular time of day.
And Millie’s has never failed to impress me. I don’t know who Millie is, but dang, she makes fine cookies. They have so many varieties on offer, whether it’s the one that seems to have an entire chocolate bar baked into it thus melts in the middle like something sinful and ungodly and truly scrumptious, or something more unusual like banoffee, chocolate orange, cranberry and white chocolate or ginger. You can’t fault their classics such as dark, white or milk chocolate chip or raspberry and white chocolate or double chocolate or oatmeal and raisin.
If cookies aren’t your thing (and why wouldn’t they be? Hey, you wanna take this outside?), there are plenty of muffins to choose from along with smoothies, coffees and a superb range of Baskin Robbins ice cream. So if you’re flagging in the Arndale there’s a sweet treat for everyone. Oh and don’t forget, check voucher code websites for the coupons that’ll get you a ridiculous amount of free cookies, it’ll make you the most popular person in your home/​office/​workplace. Watch the eyes of those around you light up when you bring in a giant box of those bad boys.

Seeing as everyone is joining in on the Millie parade, I might as well tag along and add my also perfect review.
We all hear it day in and day out, too much sugar… obesity…bad teeth bla bla. But we all deserve a little treat. Millies Cookies is my obsession!
What a Godsend to Manchester and the world! If I am away and I see one of these, I fill my boots! They are mean though to me especially when I order five cookies and then they say to me: «Do you want another 5 for an extra £2?» I cannot resist. YES PLEASE!
So what if we like cookies, and so what if they are bad for you. These aren’t! They are heaven and when they are still warm… yummmy!
If you are a Millies Cookie virgin… shame on you!

I had to write a review for Millie’s. Millies Cookies can brighten my day when it comes to Thursday and I forgotten what the weekend feels like and I still have Friday to go. What is more is that I get to share the joy of this place with colleagues from time to time and make me very popular indeed.
Millies takes cookies to a whole new level and I am glad Manchester has few of them to offer. I especially like the fact that the more you buy the cheaper it becomes… kinda helps me get over the guilt of buying a box of twelve!

‘Millie’s Cookies’- how lovely and friendly does that sound?! Who wouldn’t want cookies from Millie? Lovely old Millie.
Turns out there’s loads of ‘em and the name was all just a soulless piece of marketing.
It’s fair enough I suppose I mean, how many people would fancy nipping to ‘Adolf’s Cookies’? How about ‘Darth’s Cookies’? OK, bad example there, the mixing of Star Wars and crumbly, biscuity goodness would obviously be a beautiful thing but you get my point.
I’m getting way off the point here. As you can see, I’ve given ol’ Millie the big five stars. At the rate I’m eating them, these cookies are going to give me diabetes. But they are so good I actually think it’s worth the lifetime of injections and blackouts just to keep munching!
Go ruin your teeth today, you’ll thank me later!

I love Millie’s Cookies & this one always has a good selection available. The cookies aren’t the cheapest but they are nice as a treat. We usually buy the treat boxes so we can have a nice selection. The only disappointment we’ve had is the choc-​orange cookies were not very orangey but were still nice.
They also offer drinks & smoothies although we have never tried these so can’t comment on them.
The staff are friendly & will let you know if there are special offers etc on. They have a buy one get free on at the moment on the treat boxes which is an excellent deal.
Overall a bit expensive but worth it for a special treat.
