We had heard a lot about sexy fish– and read a few reviews upon open that seemed to be a bit mixed, but we went excited with an open mind. We thought to give it a try and see what the hype was about. On the exterior the restaurant looks fun, inside a pretty open space. We were greeted nicely. So here is the interesting part– we are pretty big foodies so we’re excited to see what they had to bring to the table. We order a few items– wing skewers, octopus, duck salad, sea bass, Madagascan prawn and a few more items. Although the restaurant and service presented itself like a well designed place, the food was surprisingly underwhelming. Duck salad was nice, dressing was well done, but we weren’t wowed. Skewers were fine. The sea bass we were surprised was over cooked but the dish itself wasn’t amazing like when you go to other restaurants with a miso cod or bass. We were a bit disappointed. The Madagascan prawn was under seasoned and not much to write about. A few of the dishes seemed to be a bit on the heavy side(bass and veg seemed to have a layer of butter or oil) I can say the rice crispy green tea ice cream was very nice. Wine is punchy as well as a glass is the price of a bottle bought anywhere else Hope this helps those of you foodies debating to dine here.

Sexy Fish is a new trendy restaurant in Mayfair. It’s hard to get a booking, but if you can get one, you’re in for a treat. I have zero complaints about the food and décor. The place is STUNNING. Seriously jaw-droppingly beautiful. The food was so fresh and flavourful. Presentation was also great. My only knock down from 5 stars was the service. I was with a group of 5 girls, and because we weren’t rich, well-to-do celebrities or socialites, we felt we didn’t get the same level of service that the people around us got. All the tables around us had £500 bottles of wine and champagne flowing, and I think that is why we didn’t get the same service. The hostess was kind of rude as well. For the price, I’m not sure I’d go back… it’s definately worth going to once just to see the spectacle of it all.

The Scallops and Seabass really stood out, along with Damien Hirst’s mermaid statues.

Ahhhh… when something is this good it’s hard to want to share it but seeing as I’m a wonderful human being I shall in this case As a lover of seafood I knew I would love this place! The menu is just as beautiful as the venue. did the little mermaid live in such surroundings under the sea? If so I have no idea why she wanted out! Anyhow back on topic… I don’t want to make this review too long and that’s exactly what will happen if I go into the derails of what we ate so take it from me it’s a great spot! From sushi to oysters to scallops… everything … They’ve got it all and it’s all delicious and beautifully presented. Love you sexy fish! You truly were sexy

I always wish there was a way to give zero stars. Was told the wait was an hour and then jerked around by the staff as other parties were seated. Love British service. Hard to tell about the food as I never had any.

Wife saw Sexy Fish as we were walking about Mayfair and was lucky enough to get a table Immediately by the bar. The food and service were excellent and impressed. We had several small platters as much of the menu is tapas style and everything was great. The oysters were extremely fresh and the sashimi was outstanding. We also saw Alexis Sanchez, the star player for Arsenal Football Club. I highly recommend getting reservations ahead of time but this is a must restaurant in London.

Visiting London and this was a last minute recommendation as a great place and managed to get an early reservation, which was apparently quite lucky. Our local guide has once again not steered us wrong as Sexy Fish was excellent. Service is amazing. Our waiter was attentive with good humour and random servers were often dropping by to make quick, and unobtrusive, work of dish cleanup or glass refills. The spicy tuna maki we started with were good but unremarkable, that was really the only slight setback of the night. Beef skewers were delicious and deeply marinaded. The creamy wasabi dip was a prefect compliment. The prawn gyoza were delicious and we fought briefly over the fifth gyoza. The lamb cutlets were very good, the cucumber side dish with the slight mint flavour worked very well as a complement. The Mizo Glazed Chilean Sea Bass was the highlight for me and was a surprisingly large serving for a London restaurant. We almost skipped desert but decided to indulge in the vanilla rice pudding that was truly worth every calorie. The pudding itself was creamy and cooked to perfection. The whole dish was served hot and quickly, the vanilla ice cream added as a topping was still perfectly chilled upon arrival. Speaking of the ice cream, it was sweet, rich and full of vanilla; it bodes well for anybody ordering an ice cream or gelato as a desert.

I had really good vegetarian food. Loved the gorgonzola cheese on a stick with honey. Really fun place, but dress up because everyone is.

Amazing! Great Japanese food with a western and modern twist! Don’t be fooled by the name– it’s not only seafood which is good, everything is great! Sexy Fish roll would make a good start to the meal, order anything in between, and end with yuzu marshmallow dessert(words won’t be able to describe the experience!) We didn’t have a booking and got the counter seats which we were very happy with. Great service and wonderful attention to details! If you want to be guaranteed to get in book months in advance! Enjoy!

Exquisitely and eclectically decorated hot spot offering dishes designed for sharing to maximise your culinary experience. Seafood is celebrated through plates with global influences from Japan to Italy to America and beyond — unique flavours meant to tantalise your plate; wonderful experience! Dungarvan Oysters were delicious and salty; very sexy start to the meal!!! Seared Yellowfin Tuna was not so sexy … the dish wasn’t very flavourful and I was looking for something more. Duck salad made up of carefully chosen pieces of crispy roasted duck with a hoisin-style dressing & creamy avocado-herbaceous green sauce #sexyduck The Tuna tartare with truffle oil and truffles was out of this world! I would go back and have this every single time. Wow! The Mizo Glazed Chilean Sea Bass comes in at a close second to the tuna … Really fantastic. The service was wonderful — very attentive and«customer is always right» suave attitude … let us linger over each course as long as we wanted. Will be back once my bank account recovers and I can get another ressie!
