4.5÷5 This is definitely an underrated gem in Mayfair, fabulous seafood without the steep prices of other nearby restaurants. I left the entire lunch experience to the chef from starters to dessert, so everything was a surprise. There were no misses: crab bruschetta, lobster mac n cheese(yum!), whole roasted seabass with chili and lemon(super yum!), saffron potatoes, seabass carpaccio(a bit too salty but still tasty), and a rich chocolate dessert with vanilla ice cream. I had a Michelin-starred Indian restaurant blowout just two days before, and I still enjoyed this more. Service was consistent, every bite was really good to great, and the atmosphere a good balance of seafood shack rustic and chic. Highly recommended!

Came here for the $ 19.95 lunch tasting menu which includes a starter and a main. Overall it was a delicious culinary experience. The staff is so nice and friendly but the bouillabaisse(my main dish) fell short of my expectations. Let me take you through the tasting menu: Every table gets a bowl of veggies(carrots, radish, daikon? with a yogurt sauce). This is a nice and healthy treat to munch on before you dive into the menu. STARTER: I got the Scallop Bruschetta and D got the Crab Bruschetta. The scallop bruschetta was delicious and had a garlic aioli sauce that was heaven. The crab bruschetta was delicious as well and came with a few pomegranate seeds on top. Both dishes had rocket on top. THUMBSUP for the first MAIN: D got the Mussels & chips and I got the Bouillabaisse with saffron potatos. Mussels could have had more of the white wine sauce that the chef used to cook the dish and probably two pieces of bread to eat along with it. The fries were good, normal. Good, but I’ve had better. I was excited for the bouillabaisse because the restaurant is named after this amazing dish. I imagined a seafood stew with a variety of fish but I feel like I got the poor man’s version of the dish. I realize that I ordered from the tasting menu so the portion was going to be a bit different from ordering it a la carte from the main menu. There was probably a pot in the kitchen full of seafood but I got a small bowl with about 2 fillets of fish. The saffron potatoes were soft and boring. The dish also came with crunchy bread, an orange spread and parmesean cheese. Look at the photos I posted and you will see what I’m talking about. DESSERT: Crème brûlée was huge and they caramelize that bad boy at the table with berries on top. It definitely redeemed the lunch for me. It could probably feed 4 people. The restaurant is cute and trendy but I was expecting more from the dish that the restaurant is named after.

Yes, it hit the spot! Amazing seafood fusion restaurant and bar. Highlights: Great tasting fusion seafood, Reasonably priced, Decent cocktails, Takes reservations, Ample quantity and Great customer service. We went to this place since they were promoting a free apps and cocktails night. Unfortunately, going 30 mins late after the event started was a bad idea since folks finished off most of the apps and getting a drink became a waiting game. We finally got couple of drinks and tasted a few bits of apps and decided to stay beyond the free event to order more food off the menu. We were so glad that we stayed and once the free event crowd left the bar tenders comped us another round of drinks and apps off our bill. Everything we ordered was delicious and the great customer service made the experience that much better. Can improve: Their drinks were great but maybe include some classics like Old fashioned or Manhattans, I love whiskey based cocktails so this might be a little biased. Benchmark: I have not dined in a similar type seafood fusion restaurant in London so for me they set the standard if you are in the mood for something different and have a craving for seafood. Dined in Dec 2015 and will return.

Came here for an oyster and lobster tasting session, and I’ll review again once we have been here for a meal. The staff were great and friendly and it was well worth going just to talk to the chef and understand his passion for the food. We were treated to cocktails at the bar while the food was prepared. Oysters with 2 preparations, an asian soy and onion, and a slightly more european sour cream prep. I prefered the Asian being, well, Asian. More drinks were had and the lobster tostadas came out, shredded lobster on tortilla chips. Utterly brilliant. What we had was lovely and look forward to going for a full meal.

I went here for a free tasting however did not get the chance to have a sit down meal. The staff we very nice upon arrival as they took my details and let me in without any hassle which is always good! …Especially when it is free heheh! We were ushered to the bar area where we had the choices of 4 bespoke cocktails each a distinct taste from beetroot to lemon flavors. There was the option to sit at a table however we opted to stand and loiter around the bar-more free drinks right?! After a couple of drinks down, the chef came around with Oysters in two flavours. One of them was soy sauce and onion and the other was a sour crème sort of paste-I wish I took down the name because I honestly loved every bit of it! The oysters were very tasteful, finely presented as well. The lobster came shredded on tortilla chips which I wasn’t expecting nevertheless, it was still tasty and left me wanting to taste more. Unfortunately, I cannot review any more as I didn’t stay longer for a meal. I will definitely go back especially now that I have two free lunch tickets!

Ok, so how have I not known about this spot before. You too may have walked by here, as it’s kind of unassuming from the outside and you have to walk through a thick red curtain to come in. But do go in, because this is some of the best, freshest seafood I’ve ever tasted in London. I love this spot. It’s fantastically modern, which large wooden comfortable tables and easy lighting. The menu is filled with some fantastic take on British seafood and my god, everything I had was seriously amazing. For lunch, I did the seabass carpaccio on their recommendation. Normally, I’m not a giant fan of carpaccio because I think it’s thin and without flavour, but I tell you this, this was near life changing. Insane lemon and and olive oil taste with every bite, and when it was gone(and it was gone quickly), it was possibly branded forever on my mind. Do not miss it. I also got the softshell crab burger and the garlic fries, and each were as good as the last, well made, full of flavour, too damn easy to eat. Holy hell, what a lunch. If you like seafood, they have something for you, from typical oysters to lobster dogs. Also, don’t forget to look downstairs and see the chef’s table and the tanks full of live lobsters and crabs — a damn surefire way to know just how fresh the food is here. Stop walking by. Go in. You will be happy you did.

I love my seafood!!! So, I had full of expectation when decided to try out this new fish eatery in London. Great interior design. Downstairs had a «Rustic» feeling, with equipment«cages» and lobster/crab aquariums available for private dining. Staff very knowledgeable and very pleasant. For starters I had dressed oyster(delicious). My main course was seafood risotto(flavorless) and sauteed potatoes(OK, nothing special). Disappointing to say the least and at £20 I’d have expected more and there was nothing on it that made me go ‘wow’. A good wine and free cocktail selection saved the day. FYI, the bill included a 15% service charge too(I hate it when restaurants do that!). It’s not cheap as such, but its Mayfair, Central London. Although, I’m glad I tried it, but wouldn’t rush back anytime soon.

Came here for the oyster, lobster and cocktail tasting which I believe happens every Friday and Saturday night from 7 – 8.30pm. We were the first to arrive so we got to sit by the bar and order a cocktail straight away(we had a choice of 4 super delicious bespoke cocktails to choose from). As more people started to crowd around the bar we moved to a communal booth at the other end of the restaurant where we got to mingle with a bunch of awesome people. We were so far from the oyster/lobster action though I kind of thought we missed out on all the precious food. I think the invite up sold the event a bit. It kind of made it seem like they had special cocktail pairing ready for each oyster dish when in reality it was a free bar(not that I’m complaining) with waitresses circling with canapés and oysters. We ended up having 2 oysters each — an onion one and a truffle one and a few in our party had a lobster canapé too. What we did have was delicious though and I will definitely be back to try more!

I will definitely need to update my review once I’ve come for dinner. I came here tonight for the cocktails, lobster & oyster tasting. It was a fabulous experience though very, very packed. The cocktails were amongst some of the best I’ve had. I particularly loved The Opener, an agave & sherry drink that is true to its name, a good starter drink. I would come just for a cocktail one night in the small bar area. I want to try out the American South! The food was fabulous. Absolutely wonderful. I particularly loved the oyster with the citrus and truffle cream. Yum! I will be returning again to eat off of their regular menu(especially as what was being carried in by the staff looked amazing.) I believe I will have to check out the lobster dog as it sounds very similar to the American lobster roll. The restaurant area is a nice medium size, well decorated and lit. It got a bit loud but not so loud that you couldn’t have conversation. The staff were lovely and accommodating. I recommend this restaurant!

What happens when the seafood tastes so fresh you’re convinced King Neptune is the head chef? What do you do when the cocktails taste so great you contemplate on quitting your job just so you can bathe in a barrel of these concoctions 24 – 7? … That my friends is when you realise you’re at Bouillabaisse! I was here last night for cocktails, lobster and oysters and boy oh boy did I enjoy it! The venue itself is lovely! Beautiful actually. The bar staff are very friendly and accomdating! The food was to die for ! Best oysters I’ve had in London so far … Soooo delicious it’s unreal! Cocktail prices start at £8 but don’t go over £11 from what I can remember . Seriously guys best oysters ever! Truffle oil and yuzu Mayo? Omg nothing like it! 100% my new fav spot in mayfair!

Great value lunch set! I had an excellent experience here! For the starter You must try their crab tostada! Absolutely amazing! Main course I prefer the tuna burger to the bouillabaisse. I love the tuna steak that is moist, juicy at perfect medium rare. Be aware that the crème brûlée is massive that can be shared between 2 – 3 ppl
