I knew i had to be the first to write a review of this restaurant. On valantines day when singletons like me opted for to go and watch the latest ‘Notorious’ movie in the cinema, my friend decided instead that we should join our other group of girls who were going to the African restaurant. I agreed to go because it would be better than just the two of us sitting in the midst of the lovebirds;plus id never been to a Ghanaian style dine before. We got lost trying to get there, my phone battery died and my friend did not have any credit and so this should have been a sign. Still we managed to get there. Inside was an exact replica of nandos i.e. the dark lighting, african art, interior and artefacts and the warmth. There was a live band, playing every requested music but keeping it traditional. But we sat, waiting and waiting for a waitress to bring us a menu, and nothing. So we got up and went to the front table to order and the queue was massive-with only two waitresses doing the ordering and going round to serve as well. When we finally placed an order, by asking one of them to come to our table after serving someone. Again we waited and waited for hours until we got ready to leave then the waitress came with our food, mumbling sorry. As we clearly were about to leave, she asked for the payment of the takeout that we’d ordered; and to pay for one of the food orders we had made! After wasting our time demanding for an extra payment for that food which we were not going to eat, she insisted that we spoke to her manager. Then after a 10 – 15 mins wait, the manager came and asked us not to worry about the payment-looking very slouchily and sluggish himself. Sums up my whole experience!
