Ideally situated fast food joint, just outside Wimbledon station, Burger King is my late evening, post theatre, food fuel stop. They only serve large meals after 9pm so you can’t take advantage of the King Deals which is a bit miserly but the staff are generally friendly enough. The food itself is typical fast food fare — not delicious but fills a gap.

The only thing you can really expect from this Burger King is that there always seems to be poo smeared on the toilet walls and/or door. Avoid the toilets! Standard BK otherwise!

If I had to have a fast food burger, I would choose Burger King. Their flame grilled burgers taste better than other offerings and I can get onion rings here though I always seem to have to wait for them. Milkshakes not bad for machine vended shakes. The location is convenient, being located just opposite Centre Court shopping centre but the queues can be long at mealtimes.

Right opposite the railway station means plenty of passing trade reaching this Burger King just refurbished(November 2008) it’s a lot smarter than it was. Burger Kings seem to be in decline with closures taking place. Prices are quite high now reaching the £5 mark for a meal and service is not as fast as the fast food concept would have you believe. However, it has its place when you need hot food quickly and if you are vegetarian the bean burger is worth a try(and now that McDonalds offers no vegetarian burger means there is literally no where else to go in this market segment).
