Corner Cupboard

Have tried in past and tasty food, living close by though i make my own. But for people just visiting glossop yum yes!

A hugely popular little take-​out shop on High Street West, Corner Cupboard specialises in sandwiches, baked potatoes and the like. No room for eating in but it is a favourite amongst local workers and people just passing through. I wouldn’t try and get in here at lunchtime, just a tip.
The pig in the window appears to be the stuff of legend but I haven’t quite got to the bottom of it. Will post an update if I ever find out, but my cousin insisted that I upload the image. And trust me, the simple, satisfying food is worth the weird pig. And the fact that it is in a take out carton and not immaculately presented.
The staff here have plenty of smiles but they know that you just want your food, and quite quickly please.

The Corner Cupboard really is little more than a cupboard, its the tiniest take-​awy shop ever but does make some fantastic sandwiches. In particular the breakfast butties are worth going for, sausage, egg, bacon and black pudding in one — perfect! They also serve hot and cold drinks to take away. The sandwiches on offer include a large selection of hot and cold fillings and they also sell baked potatoes. These sell out quickly so don’t delay stopping in for some lunch. Alternatively they have a telephone ordering service where you can phone your order in advance and then go in to collect it. Handy for the office butty run on a Friday morning!
