I am disappointed I never knew about this deli when I lived in the West End! I came here to get take-away for a colleague and me, and what a fabulous find! We had the chicken-tomato and chicken-pesto ciabattas; they were delicious and HUGE! We also ordered the side salad with tortilla crisps for an extra .75p; the balsamic dressing was fantastic with fresh, crunchy veggies. Also who knew corn crisps tasted awesome with Balsamic(by the time we made it back to work, the crisps had soaked up some of the dressing)? The gentlemen behind the counter were so nice, and made lovely food with great presentation. So great in fact, that I ended up getting dessert too. You can tell they take pride in their work. I definitely need to come back and eat in the restaurant! One more thing, the coffee smell in the café was divine, so I will be trying that on the next trip too!

Popped in to grab a quick coffee and was tempted by the menu to order a chicken pesto panini(the king of all panini!). It’s a small place, unsurprisingly, and as I took a seat at one of the window booths I realised that not only did it look small, it’s not the best for those of us who are ‘larger than average’. I shuffled the table and wiggled my way in, but it’s pretty snug so be warned! My latte turned up promptly and was a little bitter for my taste, but I’ve had worse, and it wasn’t long before my panini showed up, in a bowl. This confused me a little, whilst it was a perfectly good bowl, why put a toasted sandwich in a bowl? The panini itself was ok, not much of a pesto flavour, and the mozzarella was one big chunk in the middle, so became a little bit rubbery after being toasted, all in all it was edible but a bit bland. Price wise I can’t complain, it was cheap, the staff are friendly and it was certainly busy enough, maybe I just caught them on a bad day? Not sure I’d rush back though.

Popped in for a quick coffee when I had half an hour to kill! It was pretty quiet but they were shutting about 30 minutes after I arrived. The service was quick and friendly — always a bonus! Great view of Kelvingrove too. Only had coffee and a cake but it was a mere £3 — bit of a bargain if you ask me! Definitely want to head back again next time I’m around the area to try some more of their menu. Really fantastic coffee, and they do a student discount too.

Great service! The owner was extremely nice and welcoming. It was quiet on Sunday morning when first opening and got busier gradually. Service was really quick and the latte was delicious! Great environment, calm music playing, great place for reading, writing, or hanging out with friends. Will definitely be back for the ciabatta that looked great.

This Italian café serves cheap and tasty pizzas, ciabatta, salads and soup. The lunch deals are really good value, a half pizza and salad costs just £5. I’d definitely recommend trying the pizza first as I’ve found the ciabatta can be hit and miss. But the chorizo pizza never fails! The café is bright and modern looking with views across to the gallery at Kelvingrove. The staff are very friendly and always eager to accomodate customers requests. They also do a student discount which makes it even more bargain priced!

Lovely little café with beautiful views of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum: quiet, light and airy atmosphere, easy to find, with free Wifi! I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch – Chicken Pest and Mozzarella ciabatta with soup deal for £5! – and coffee over a good book on a «me-time» afternoon. Highly recommend it.

The pizzas! I love them, so much so that I order from here far too often. Two pizzas for £10 is a darn good deal though and they are definitely worth it — light and crispy dough, fresh veggies and they don’t come swimming in grease with little congealed bits of cheese(ew). I’m not a pizza connoisseur or anything, but I’ve been on a mission to find my favourite pizza in Glasgow and this place is definitely in my top 3. I have only had their food delivered so I can’t comment on the service at the café, but I highly recommend the pizzas. They are open all day but only deliver for a few hours in the evenings so bear that in mind.

I’ve been traveling for a couple weeks and haven’t felt compelled to review until now. I like everything about this joint-spotless, clean décor and excellent service. The food is delicious and so fresh and so clean! It’s the little things that make me want to return, a single basil leaf, drizzled with olive oil adorned my tomato soup and made me smile.

Opposite the Kelvingrove Museum this little unassuming Café serves great fresh food with lovely, friendly service. It’s also superb value for money. It can be a little quiet, but then, you do have the great view of the museum to entertain you.

The pizzas from this place are unreal! We’ve never actually ventured into the café but always have their pizzas delivered. They do an excellent deal, two pizzas for a tenner, on most nights… Even at the weekend. Their chorizo pizza is so tasty! Lovely thin base, just the right amount of cheese, gorgeous chorizo and red onion. The veggie pizza is fantastic too, all the veg tastes really fresh. Their menu is pretty small, but perfectly formed. Delivery is always pretty quick and our pizzas always arrive hot. Shall definitely venture into the café itself for a wee coffee and panini. If their epic pizzas are anything to go by, everything else will be fantastic too.

Popped in here whilst waiting for a takeaway from The Den(I know I know, I eat there too much!) Initially, I was going to go into Beanscene, but I never really enjoy the coffee there, so popped in here for a new experience. Initial thoughts — clean, light, modern. Just literally had a Cappuccino, so I can’t comment on the food. What I could see behind the counter and being cooked though, looked very nice indeed. Chap brought the drink over to the table & I was already shocked at it being a real Italian cappuccino. In that it wasn’t frothy bubbly cream, it was like a delicious flat white, oozing beautiful texture and richness. Reminds me of what I had in Sauze in Italy. Complimented the guy & he knew he was good at making it traditionally. Honestly, if I am down here again(which is a lot lately!), I’ll be back in for some soup/pizza to try. Only criticism, the booths are really really cramped! You Gotta Drink Here — For Sure! :-D

I was down this neck of the woods recently to attend the Baby Booty Sale(nope, not what it sounds like) and stupidly made the decision to pop into the nearby Beanscene earlier in the afternoon for a quick coffee(with obligatory muffin) break. Heavens to bobby, loud much? When it came to extracting the Mrs from the afore mentioned booty sale, a decision was made that death or having to sleep on the street might occur if we tried to make it home minus the lunch that out bellies were telling us it was time for. Initial thoughts went to Beanscene, but were quickly batted away after the memories of pram hell and loud wenders flooded back to my brain. I also at this point gave myself a wee slap to the back of the head for not going to this place in the first place. Things to note. This place is smart. It’s clean, bright, welcoming and comfortable, yet not squashed in what is quite a small place. Service is swift, friendly and the food on offer is varied, whilst not being too extensive to give you a choice headache when you;ve got the hunger on. Price wise, it’s reasonable. but not cheap. A pizza will set you back upwards of 6 quid, but it’s good gear and a great spot for lunch if you’ve been to the museum. It’s still a 4 star and not an upgrade purely because I reserve that for the places I’d like to be in heaven/hell when i get there. But beyond that, it’s a good, solid four star.

Popped in here last week for coffee and do say its a great wee coffee house. As per the name it is compact and a little crammed for table space but still far outshines Beanscene and their grumpy staff across the road. The tables here are clean, the staff at pleasant and the coffee is Gooooood! Yup! a fan I am :)

Clean cut, well kept and just a little preppy, The Little Café is a tiny slice of spunky dining to satisfy your appetite! It’s fairy small but with its modern décor and Med inspired cuisine it’s pretty tasty. Seems family friendly, soup and panini combo is a fiver which is an honest price, it’s quite cosy, nice ambiance and friendly staff. The soup was delicious — I had tomato and basil. Tomato is one of these soups that is so simple to make but you can do it so well. Safe to say The Little Café did. Very clean cut and original, The Little Café has a big heart, a good, favourable menu and is open till nine during the week if you fancy an alternative to meeting doon the pub!

Sundays have become a different kind of Sunday Funday… that is if you like working out, when Sundays are normally spent larding out before the Monday grind begins. When the weather isn’t complete crap, the boyfriend and I workout with our awesome trainer in Kelvingrove Park. If you’re like us, you tend to sleep in on Sundays… which left us no time for a proper breakfast, and ravenous after our intense training session. Yikes. So hungry and desperate for food, we walked along Argyle towards home and came across The Little Café. We’ve actually walked past this place a number of times, but some reason or another never stopped in. But this time was different. We saw their lunch special of a soup and panini for £4.95… you really can’t beat that! The café is really clean and modern, with cool photographs on the walls. Booths line the large open windows looking out onto Argyle Street and the Kelvingrove Museum. The service was great, and food really fresh and tasty. It was lentil soup that day, and we both got variations of chicken sandwiches. The atmosphere was really relaxed and a nice way to spend a few moments chilling with your hunny on a Sunday morning after an intense training session. Bottom line: good, fresh, friendly, affordable and tasty! We’ll be back after more training sessions in the park.

Lovely Jubbly! as Del boy would say. Not sure he’d like this little place but I sure do. Went for the two pizzas for £10 deal, which is way cheaper than anywhere else that isn’t a deep fry kinda joint. First brownie point was that the cheese wasn’t sliding around in its own grease, second to that, the pizza was made there and then with what looked like really fresh ingredients. Very rustic and healthily yum looking. Was really looking forward to eating it, and it was good. Did also notice that you can get a small pizza for £1.99, which I would definitely do for a quick lunch time hit. They had a good selection of paninis, with the 50p option of adding tortilla chips and a side salad, pretty good when the panini is just over £3 itself. Bargainariffic! Oh yeah, and loads of veggie options for the leafy eaters

I saw this new place had opened up opposite the Kelvingrove, when I was searching for a place to shelter from the rain until the museum opened. At first I almost rejected it for Beanscene, but was heartily glad I didn’t. The hot chocolate I had was served like a cappachino — none of that over-elaborate cream and cheap mini marshmallow crap — simple elegant and very tasty. My little friend had a bambi — steamed milk with chocolate syrup, which entertained him wildly as he could scoop up the frothy milk like ice-cream, and it was miles healthier for him. It seemed to be a mediterranian style café, with unusual sounding sandwiches, and mini pizza’s, which were divine and so affordable at £1.99! The décor was slick — it was airy and clean, the kind of surroundings that are subtle and you don’t notice, but just feel comfortable in.(aside from the lime green seats — not really to my taste! But I’m being petty.) The server behind the counter was very friendly and genuine, and humoured my little buddy very well. Cheap, friendly, clean & delicious. I’ll be back for sure!
