Was only in Glasgow for a night and this was right downstairs from the flat we’d booked through AirBnB. Milady had a touch of the lurgi so bowls of Wonton soup(her) and Hot and Sour soup(me) were in order. Also Singapore noodles, and in a moment of well-judged impulsiveness, the Salt and Chilli Pepper King Prawns. Easily some of the best Chinese food we’ve had, and we’ve had some good Chinese good. I anticipate getting to know their menu better next time I’m in Glasgow!

LOVE Lucky Cottage, I’m sooo ‘Lucky’ to have it right downstairs from my flat! I always go for the Salt & Chilli Pepper tofu, which is really spicy and comes with lots of sauteed onions and peppers. Then my bf and I usually split some of their crispy aromatic duck with hoisin sauce(¼ will do! Don’t get the ½ unless you’re REALLY hungry) and some sweet and sour chicken. The chicken is battered and comes with delicious dipping sauce, and they’re kindof like enormous chicken nuggets! There are a of lot healthier options(especially in the Thai section of the menu) but if I’m ordering Chinese I normally go all out and just pig out! So we often get their lovely wee spring rolls too, plus prawn crackers and sometimes some spare ribs. I’m not the biggest fan of the saucier dishes personally, and last time wasn’t too impressed with their spicy beef. They have quite a few veggie dishes compared to most places which as a former and still part time vegetarian I really appreciate! Definitely one of the best, if not the best Chinese takeaways in Glasgow.
