Tastiest noodles ever, utterly delicious main course, my father had the steak and declared it was the best steak he’d ever had, Good service, maybe slightly pricey but you get what you pay for! Will be back and have been 3 times already.

Great food. I ordered the peppercorn chicken stir fry with white rice. It was super hot but great. Also given prawn chips upon arrival. I have never experienced this at most us thai restaurants. Prompt service. Would come back.

I really have no complaints about the lunch I had here yesterday. Saying that, this won’t be a gushy post either. My friends and I went in for a quick bit before our days adventures and went for the two course menu which had plenty to choose from. I went for a starter of chicken satay, which was your run of the mill grilled chicken with a peanut satay sauce. It was tasty enough. My friends both ordered the chicken spring rolls and quite enjoyed them. For my main, I went for the pad thai with chicken. I always like to test the waters at Thai restaurants by ordering the pad thai. There was something a bit«grey» about this particular pad thai. It was good, but no more than just good. My friends both ordered the pad see ew, which they both enjoyed. Two of us skipped on the pudding option, but one of my friends ordered the fried banana pudding and absolutely loved it! He made me try a bit(made me? Haha!) and it was quite delicious! Anyway, all in all it was an enjoyable experience. I won’t necessarily rush back. The staff were really friendly, but the service itself was a bit on the slow side.

We are now devoted take away fans of this place — simply the best thai food I’ve had since moving to Glasgow. I’ve not eaten in so can’t comment on that — but on food alone, this place is simply absolutely fantastic. The thai salad with beef is fresh, clean and fragrant, the stir fries are bursting with fresh veg(and in some cases, large pieces of lethal chilli!), gorgeous curries. Simply brilliant. And always ready so fast — we collect and it’s always ready and waiting in 10 minutes! Fresh, healthy and delicious. Possibly £1−2 more for some dishes but utterly worth it.

The beers come in their own wee cooling jackets — good start to the meal. The décor is dated but if you can see past that the food is tasty and fresh. Our waiter was full of banter but I can see how some people wouldn’t appreciate being taken the p*ss out of — I don’t mind! We all had the sharing starter — great, a lot of fried things so not for those on a diet. We then shared thai red curry, sweet and sour, ginger chicken and plum duck. My dad chose the sweet and sour and I was dubious but it was nothing like the Uncle Bens variety — possibly my favourite dish of the night. Don’t get the sticky rice — it was so sticky that it had to be welded apart! I will definitely go back.

Loved it here!!! The place is awesome! The staff is really good and attentive… Our family loves thai food. and the food made our day! I would say the price is a little bit on the higher side but definitely worth it. We got the 3 course lunch menu. which is really filling. I would suggest start with two course and only eat the third if you are hungry!! hehehe. we got the pad kee mow and red curry with chicken satay and tom kha soup. it was mind blowing! my daughter loved the banana fritters with ice-cream! Looking forward to try out something else next time!

You pay for what you get in this case its a wee bit pricey but my goodness most excellent Thai food — you cant get real Thai food in the UK the way the Thai’s eat it but this comes damn close. Every meal I have had from here has been utterly delicious and worth every penny. Robert Carlyle apparently gets his food from the Paisley branch too so he has taste after all. lol If you want a good night out with friendly staff except for Alex the cheeky kitchen chef(only kidding Alex but the Wife jokes are a bit old now!!! nudge nudge!!!), clean kitchens, most excellent and helpful delivery driver David who I must praise on his speedy delivery and real knowledge of Thai food himself then order takeaway or sit in you wont be disappointed. Best Thai Restaurant in Glasgow IMHO. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

A real family favourite takeaway for us. We usually go for a Phad Thai and Chicken satay main plus coconut rice. With a complimentary bag of Thai crackers, very generous pot of yummy satay sauce and some crushed peanuts included, this provides a mountain of food for two sharing. We have ordered more dishes with friends and need to mention the plum duck for a special high five — it’s amazing! Not necessarily the cheapest takeaway in town but it is high quality and tasty food prepared with good cuts of meat. Keen to try sitting in the restaurant sometime to see if its as good.

I have to say first that I have no complaints on the quality of the food at Thai Siam, and I ordered takeaway, so I can’t really comment on ambiance. My go to Thai dish is Pad See Yew, and I stuck with that for my order. The price seemed average for the dish, so I wasn’t too concerned. The difference is that normally when I order Thai, I can get two meals out of one dish. I know that’s not true for everyone, but I’ve eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants and I don’t think I’ve ever been able to finish a meal in one sitting. I was quite disappointed when I picked up my order and realized how small it was. The Pad See Yew was good, but for the price, I can’t see coming back. Which is a shame, as it’s quite close to home.

After living round the corner for over a year, we finally got round to visiting Thai Siam. Being the budget conscious bunnies we are, we booked for the pre-theatre menu. On arrival we got a warm welcome(I’d heard about the legendary sweet service at this place and wasn’t disappointed). The pre-theatre menu is extensive, and with three courses for £12.90, variety and quantity alone sort of make it value for money. As perennial sharers we began by splitting a minced chicken salad, which was out-of-this-world delicious and had a great kick, plus the fish cakes. A little rubbery in texture, the fishcakes could be forgiven for the great taste and delicious dipping sauce that came with them. Mains were equally as divine. We shared Thai Green Curry with king prawns, and the Holy Basil Chicken, with a good helping each of sticky boiled rice and fantastic noodles laced with carrot and bean sprouts. The curry was spicy, creamy and bursting with flavour. Likewise, the chicken dish was evidence of the know-how and passion behind the kitchen doors. We finished with a banana fritter and ice cream, presented beautifully(which is hard to do with a sticky fritter) and neither too sickly, nor too soft. Even beers at Thai Siam come in their own little cooling jacket, and we were reliably recommended as great choice to accompany our food. If you’re even entertaining the idea of visiting here, do it. It’s almost impossible to be disappointed, and even the slightly naff 90s décor has it’s own unique charm.

I have been told repeatedly of the excellence of the food at Thai Siam by my boyfriend, and he was not wrong. We were greeted in a friendly and knowing fashion by the staff(I think they knew Matt and have a good laugh at his expense when he insists on eating the spiciest things on the menu) The interiors aren’t stunning, just your standard traditional fare but it doesn’t matter, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and the service attentive. We chose the very affordable pre-theatre(Three courses for £12.95) with a couple of beers on top. The food is fabulous. I chose crispy fried tofu as a starter, which was served with a sweet chilli and peanut dip, followed by Pad See Ew which was tasty and decently portioned(i.e. more than I can eat) Matt’s sun dried pork was a fantastically tasty, although I did refrain from trying his main which made him sweat profusely. In all, highly recommended if you’re more into the food and less into the interiors. Great food, great service, great value. Nuff said.

By far the best place for Thai food in Glasgow. Never fails to disappoint! Great for sitting in and take away(discount for take away). My girlfriend is vegetarian and they have lots of options for her. Very friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere.

This is based entirely on my take out experience, the grouchy shut in that I am, but it was just terrific. First impression as I received my bag of food and paid the delivery guy was, ‘How much!?’ This was in relation to the price and the portions. As much as the price took the wind out of me a little, the portions were so generous we could have probably halved the order and still been left satisfied. The mixed veg starter was a crunchy, veggie treat, and a meal all in itself. The dipping sauce was out of this world. For the mains we went for the traditional red curry & green curry and were not disappointed. It looked amazing for a start, all too often with takeout food you end up with a big plate of yellowy brown foodstuffs, but here everything seemed fresh and luxurious and interesting. The coconut rice was a highlight, and was infinitely superior to my sticky rice. Which was rice but, you know, a bit sticky. One for special occasions for sure, or if you’re attempting to cheat your way to a beautiful homemade dinner Mrs Doubtfire style, but highly recommended nonetheless.

The traditionally-styled décor whilst cosy may put the hipsters off but this place is all about the food. It offers fantastic, authentic Thai cuisine and is the only place I’ve found in Scotland that serves the spicy Pad Kee Mao. All the regular Thai favourites are on offer, Pad Thai, red/green curries as well as sizzling duck and seafood dishes. It even offers Chinese crispy aromatic duck with pancakes and why not? Nice beer selection too. As with all Thai restaurants the prices aren’t exactly cheap, but this is probably the best value Thai restaurant in Glasgow. The chef prepares the dishes very quickly but recently can be let down by a slower waiting service that requires the customer to be unusually proactive if in a rush. Their delivery service is lightning fast, so if you fancy paying a bit more for a superior take out then it’s worth it and you still get a bag of crackers!

Thai Siam was one of the first Thai restaurants in Glasgow and remains one of the best. Food is tasty and traditional. You are presented with complimentary spicy crackers which is nice to nibble with a drink as you wait for your meal to arrrive. This is a small restaurant and as such, depending on which area you are in, you can be sitting pretty close to the people at the next table. Staff are ultra friendly and charming. Waitresses wear traditional thai dress which is a nice touch. They do a really god value lunch — £6.95 for three very delicious courses. My favourite is the Tom Yum Soup. The best I’ve tasted with huge shell-on prawns and the tastiest broth. Highly recommended.

This is my favourite Thai restaurant in Glasgow. It’s in the West End, on Argyle Street. It’s quite small and the tables are very, VERY close together(I mean awkwardly close together, and that feeling is heightened if it’s not busy). It’s not the trendiest restaurant in town and it’s all quite simple and traditional. But the reason people go here is for the food, which is quite simply delicious. They have an extensive menu of traditional Thai dishes that are so full of freshness and flavour. Their prices are really reasonable and the waiting staff are just lovely. Highly recommended!
