I recently moved to this medical practice, this is more a drop in service where you do not need to phone or book in advance to be seen by a nurse or a doctor. This is a training practice for medical students and as a patient you are not assigned to a particular doctor, but just whoever is there on the day, this is probably a downside to the medical practice that you don’t get to know your doctor, another downside is the split opening hours, they are only open a few hours in the morning and then a couple of hours in the afternoon.

This used to be my doctor surgery but i’m not sure why the hell i choose to come here. I reckon it must have been the open surgery that appealed to me as i am notoriously poor at keeping appointments and like the idea of just being able to drop in between certain hours. This place is, without mincing any words, grubby. It had the feel, look, smell and taste(don’t ask) of a doctors surgery… does anybody else feel instantly ill as soon as they walk into these places… even if your just waiting on somebody else… Anyway, there are a number of doctors on attendance, i think a few regulars, but it seems to change quite regularly. All of whom as professional, pleasant and doctor like. Not much else to say really, like most surgeries i have visited this one is in need of a bit of TLC, some new magazines, something to take away the faint smell of pee and maybe a telly, just to alleviate the abject boredom one suffers whilst waiting to be seen.
