Eaten here loads as great for all the family — quick service means the kids aren’t waiting for ages, & they have crayons & menus to draw on so are entertained. We all love the edamame beans, also liked are the cod cubes, the pad Thai & the pure fruit juice lollies for pudding — I love the fact you can book online too, so can sneak past queue at busy times!

To make it short: been there regularly, I like the food even though it’s not real Japanese, but the waiters are too present. The moment you sit down, they basically want to take your order. An this speedboat service is standard for everything. It feels like food mass servicing at McDonalds sometimes…

I didn’t like the Edamae beans-they were still in the pod and were difficult to deal with. Otherwise the food was really tasty.

This place gets 4 big stars from me. Me and my friend were here and we shared summer rolls with chicken and salmon/seaweed salad, both were totally delicious! I would love to try everything on the menu because all the dishes seemed very tasty and fresh. Apart from salads and rolls they had noodles dishes, rice dishes and fresh/home made juices. The service was good, and the place felt trendy but it was too noisy. When we came at 1 o’clock we directly got a table, but after us it became a long line to the restaurant. So it is a popular place and it was Japanese people there, that is a good sign for a Japanese restaurant!

I thought Wagamama was better than this, slow slow service, they didn’t tell us they had no pork and were willing to let us order a dish that should have had it(they were just going to omit it). My Wagamama ramen was tasteless and had too many mussels and not enough chicken. The ribs were weird, tasted like lemon detergent. The duck gyoza were fair though.

Nice food, not perfect, but good enough. We went there two times. The first time I was brought the wrong meal, but it was replaced instantly and fast. The as spicy advertised meals weren’t really hot, so we asked if they could use more chili or cayenne or whatever for our meals. The girl from the service said this wouldn’t be a problem and if she could bring the chili on an extra plate. This she did and as we asked for the bill we discovered that the chilis were priced extra, 70p. Not a big problem, but a bit small minded and should have been told in advance.

My first and last time here Staff = unfriendly, unhelpful, uninterested Food = fresh, well cooked but only one item I liked at a push. Price = ludicrously overpriced for basically what is chicken and rice. Poor tasting overpriced wine. Value = poor Definately check the menu before booking and make sure you enjoy being sat with random people at your table because YOUWILL!

Wer schnell aber gut asiatisch essen möchte ist hier gut aufgehoben. Vor allem die Suppen sind empfehlenswert.

I have never had a bad meal from here! Really delicious food, always leave as a satisfied customer. The staff are very friendly but sometimes there are too few working throughout the busier periods and I have had to endure a short wait to pay etc.

This Wagamama’s does what it does well. Fast, healthy food in an informal & fun environment. I’ve been to quite a few branches of this chain & this one is very good. The servioce is always very good too.

I am originally from Hong Kong, so I think it’s definitely expensive for me. However, the quality of food and services is actually good. I ordered udon with side dish one day and they tasted really delicious and oriental. I could also see smiles on waiters’ faces and the layout of restaurant is great. Green tea is also free and unlimited refill is included. I would recommended curry dishes too — they taste Thai =]

I am a bit of a Wagamama addict and having been to most of their restaurants all over the UK I can say that the one situated in Exeter is one of my favourites. As always, a mealtime at Wagamama is fast paced, noisy, colourful and tasty. Although not the cheapest food on offer, you get generous portions and it is certainly delicious. A good drinks selection too with free green tea on offer, and great tiger beer. The staff are extra friendly and knowledgable about their dishes(I have picky friends with allergies and whatnot!) and they were eager to help out. Also I once went for dinner when not feeling too bright and ended up not being able to eat much, although I was insistent that it was delicious, they took the cost of my plate of food off the bill. Don’t miss the edamame beans with salt as a side dish, and for dessert the lychee and mango sorbet :)

Wagamama is great! Like others have said, it really makes a change. Every time I have visited this wagamama in Exeter they have been queing out the door. The environment is hustle and bustle compounded by the fact you share tables with complete strangers. It’s an oriental canteen, serving up fresh and delicious, satisfying dishes. I have to say the quality was not as good on my last visit.. . Noodles were mushy and dumplings were over cooked too. But, I suppose they are not a fine food outlet and it’s reasonably priced. The Asahi beer is great, you must try that! Oh and edamame beans are a must too…

Wagamama in Exeter is the perfect restaurant for a break for lunch from shopping or for a catch up dinner with friends. Everyone who works here is perfectly lovely and always do everything in their power to ensure you have a great experience. Would recommend this place equally to people who have never tried Japanese food and those who would consider themselves to be experts! The menu is extensive and very well priced. It features an open kitchen so you can see all the chefs at work. There is a really lovely outdoor eating area which is perfect for summer lunches. Would recommend the Chicken Chilli Ramen for sure!

Very enjoyable franchise food, makes a nice change from the usual boring pub food. I have had one really bad experience where my wife was made violently ill by some nuts being mistakenly included in her meal, but they gave a written apology and some free meal tokens, so we can set that to one side — an allergy to nuts is always going to pose a risk if you choose to eat out, whether you like it or not. But anyway, the food is always tasty, promptly served and reliable. Plum wine is a rally nice touch you won’t find elsewhere, although it’s best if you ask for the chilled water in a separate glass, as the undiluted wine is something else!

Wagamamas, situated in Exeter’s Bedford street, is a really fun place to go for lunch or dinner. Since you can’t book a table here(the idea is it’s Japanese fast food) it can be very difficult to seat large groups, although they’ve started allowing group bookings via their website, so if you want to go out for Japanese cuisine with 15 of your closest chums, this is a good idea. The food here is very fun, and I especially love their vegetable dumplings. I tend to take the chopsticks home with me to use as hair accessories! The staff are friendly and helpful, if a little rushed off their feet

very odd food, think this is very authentic chinese? very watery but if you’re into it go for it, quite expensive. This restaurant is situated in the new princess hay shopping centre in exter amoung other restaurants such as café rouge, la tasa and is right opposite the new debenhams, you can sit down and eat here or takeaway the dishes

Wagamama does very good noodles. On top of that the menu has rice dishes, seafood dishes, and curried anything-you-could-think-of. The food tastes really good, and the atomsphere of an authentic japanese noodle bar has been kept, but with a technological twist. Servers come to your table(which could also be someone elses table — it’s long bars!) and enter your order into handheld keypads — which means your food is cooking before they’ve finished taking your order. The desserts are to die for — try the spiced meringue! Can be a little pricey, but only because you’ll end up ordering one of everything on the menu ;-)
