I like Debenhams as a whole. Since it was relocated, I’ve found the new building to be a lot more accessible and easier to navigate. One thing I’ll never understand about this shop is why they think a temperature of 27 degrees promotes a comfortable shopping experience! I know it’s winter, and it’s wise to have the heating on, but you have to bear in mind that shoppers will be wearing extra layers — I can’t stand going in there unless I’m wearing summery clothes under my coat so I can strip off to keep cool! Bizarre. They have all the usual brands you’d expect, and the shop assistants are quite friendly.

A plush new store in the newly built Princesshay development, it caters for all tastes. Any department you can think of is here, and bigger than you’ve been to before. Bright and airy, it makes shopping a pleasure

This Debenhams is fantastic, so much better than the old one which was just dated. It is spread out over four floors and they sell a whole range of goods. The store itself is very modern and up to date. The have a lot of different cosmetics brands and also a Nails Inc bar where you can get a manicure. There is also a personal shopper service available to book.

This is the new Debenhams in Exeter — the old one was situated around the corner and was an absolute eyesore. The building, however, is brand new and really stylish. The main downside that I have found is that the floor is very slippy on the ground floor, so if you don’t have very grippy shoes you could easily slip over, or if it got wet. Nicely laid out, with all the usual Debenhams stuff. There is a café on the top floor, with comfy seating, but it is quite small and seems to be quite expensive too. It’s ok though, although queues always seem long!
